The atmosphere is simple and the room temperature is cool, which was reinforced by the constantly open door. Although the food was good, it lacked specialty and creativity, especially since all dim sum was not homemade. Service seemed stressed during my visit, despite being at half capacity, and the general atmosphere was less than ideal due to noise levels.

Highly recommend a facelift! Very soft and delicious! The chicken soup and shepherd's purse wontons are also very authentic. Spicy chicken and roast duck are also good Pan-fried buns are generally not recommended.

Very good identical food, tastes just great! To go out for a quick meal but a bit too expensive for me, 2x a main course plus a drink per person = CHF 96. If the waitress had asked more, we would have liked to drink more...

I went here and the food was scrumdiliyumyum I absolutely inhaled my meal 10/10 would come again, the staff is also very friendly and the interior decorations are very pretty I forgot to take a picture of my food cause it was too bussin so here’s my finished plate you’re welcome

The restaurant is located in an old building with history. I recommend going to book a table and food at the same time, and before that to the concert.

We have often ordered from Turandot and have always been very satisfied. But today, as always, I picked up the order on site, it was very busy and very loud. After paying, I noticed that instead of udon noodles with beef as ordered, the bill said udon noodles with shrimps. When asked, the boss said he didn't have time to take care of it now, it was very busy and just ran away. When asked further, no one else took care of it. Very bad service, people just don't react like that! Will definitely order somewhere else next time!

We found a pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant, not so typically Asian, but we liked it. The service was very friendly, helpful and friendly. Papaya salad and spring rolls as a starter. I would make the papaya salad a little spicier and we would have appreciated an extra spring roll. But both tasted good to us. Also the Asian beef dish, grandmother style. The selection of dishes here is varied. Overall we were happy with the evening.

We went with my family to eat at sunday brunch. 39chf/adult for "all you can eat buffet" is something that you don't find in Zurich. The staff was very kind and they explained us what was on the buffet. We stayed about 2 hours there and we tried everything! Most of the dishes were very tasty and 1-2 a bit too spicy for us but ok, it is normal in Asiatic cuisine. At the end we tried also fried bananas, they were very good! We'll definitely try this restaurant again.

A very perfect dinner! The dishes are perfect: pan-fried buns, twice-cooked pork, roast duck, vegetables, pickled fish, every dish is particularly delicious. The environment is comfortable and highly recommended ~ five stars!

We visited this restaurant because of the good reviews. The service is very friendly and lovely. The selection of dishes is very small. The taste of the dishes may be the same as in China, but we ate much better there. Prices are high considering it only has paper tablecloths. The place was half full, but the noise level was extremely high. It's not comfortable here. We won't be visiting the restaurant again.

It's the best Peking duck I've ever eaten so far. The service is extremely friendly and always asks if everything is okay. Chicken etc. all from Switzerland, the quality is top and also beautifully furnished.

If you want to experience really great and authentic Chinese cuisine, you should definitely make a stop here. The food is prepared with a lot of love and the service is super accommodating.

I celebrated my birthday there with my family. The food was wonderful, the meat almost fell apart, so tender and the wine was delicious. At the end there was a mochi with a sparkler and a hearty happy birthday from the employees. Thank you very much and we will definitely come back :-) We can only wish you all the best and much success with the restaurant.

The boiled beef and mapo tofu are both good. Been there several times. I just hope the boss won’t be too harsh on his employees.

Authentic and tasty Chinese restaurant. I have avoided Chinese restaurants for my 20 years in Switzerland because it’s usually oily and tasteless food. The menu at Turandot is prepared with love for detail in top quality ingredients and preparation. There are also many options for vegetarians or those with special diets without sacrificing any flavor. In addition, you are well cared for as a guest with super friendly service. It’s a hidden gem not too far from the city and absolutely worth the SBahn ride.

Chinese food on a different level! Many Chinese visitors. I tried their pork speciality from Shanghai and the duck during another visit. Top experience and great service who understands and can explain the recepies. Will come again.

We had an outstanding culinary evening at Turandot. The food stands out clearly from the rest of the Asian offerings in Uster. Two small tips for the restaurant to further improve the customer experience. A) Quiet Asian music in the background B) Small attention at the beginning (jasmine tea & towel) and position the offer better, e.g. daily recommendation, dessert offer and nightcap such as sake C) 1 more person in service and clear division; one person with the guests, one delivering, one clearing away. Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back!

One of the best and most authentic Chinese restaurant in Zurich. Insider tip: Ask for the Chinese menu, there are other dishes on it that are not on the German menu. Particularly interesting for people who have already been to China and would like to have “real” Chinese food again.

Dishes are Shanghai specialties. The overall taste is sweet. If you like sweet dishes, it's worth trying.

Waiting 15 minutes for the drinks says it all about the service. The last main course was served where the first person was almost through with their main course. Food is typically Chinese, very greasy, from the deep fryer as it is known, nothing special. In addition, very loud and uncomfortable wooden chairs.

Very sympathic! We were guests with two children. They both loved the food. The Peking duck was really tasty (even though I don't really like duck 😊), as was the tofu and the chicken. And the Chinese wine was the surprise of the evening: mmmh.

Spectacular, classic Chinese cuisine. Finally, we have the real taste of authentic Chinese food in Uster, and I dare say, Switzerland. I asked the owner to recommend something special and my eyes popped when she proudly presented her Szechuan beef broth to the table. The beef melted in my mouth and the whole dish, with its fresh vegetables oozed authentic Szechuan flavour and spice. I can't recommend this restaurant more highly. If you have ever been to China and tasted real Chinese food then treat yourself at Turandot, Classic Chinese Cuisine and transport yourself back there with every mouthful. Turandot is the name of an opera by Puccini. It tells the story of a vivid fantasy of long-ago China, where the imperious Princess Turandot poses three riddles to any prince who dares to court her, and commands the death of all who fail. Turandot's Chinese owners both sing for the Zurich opera house. They bring their love of home Chinese food and opera music together in a refreshing, tastefully decorated, setting. We came to try the "all you can eat" offer and it was great. Nice, bright interior and the friendliest staff. We had starters, 4 different mains and desert; Dim sum, spring rolls and gyozo. I'm looking forward to our next visit and choosing from the menu.

Restaurant close to the station, 10 minutes on foot, nice and friendly service, I recommend! Leckeres Essen, die Ente war einfach köstlich, knusprig, alles frisch, die chinesischen Teigtaschen ebenso köstlich. Das Restaurant ist in der Nähe des Bahnhofs, 10 Minuten zu Fuß, freundliches und einladendes Personal, ich empfehle!

I am very positively surprised by this restaurant. I have visited Turandot a few times and love this cuisine! I have never eaten such delicious, crunchy and non-greasy spring rolls! We also got to enjoy an opera! Thanks!! I always recommend it and everyone - like me - is enthusiastic.

Very disappointing. Service was difficult to understand, very long waiting times and the food was not good. In addition, the wine by the glass had run out and so had the desserts. We won't be coming back! 😩🤣

Was excited to find it as there aren't too many authentic Chinese restaurant in Switzerland. Food tastes good in general esp the spicy dishes, however we shouldn't have ordered the turbot in chopped hot chilly sauce剁椒 - huge mistake.

Super tasty, upscale Chinese, something different from the usual fare. Highly recommend the pork breast (bacon) and the Peking-style duck. There were Asians at all the other tables, which is a good sign. Ambience very pleasant, a few beautiful Chinese porcelain figures, no red/gold plastic decorations
