The Atarshi Sushi Restaurant is a real treat for all lovers of Japanese cuisine. From the elegant furnishings to the exquisite taste of the food, this restaurant impresses across the board. The selection of fresh fish is impressive and the sushi creations are artistic and delicious. Every bite is a taste experience that you won't soon forget. The staff is extremely courteous and knowledgeable when it comes to food recommendations. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, perfect for a romantic dinner for two or a social evening with friends. I can fully recommend the Atarshi Sushi Restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit.

Delicious sushi, quick instructions

Food is good, but nothing special. The prices are ‘special’: 52 frank for a really small, 1 person, portion. Way overprized.

Average sushi. The premises are really at the limit of acceptable.

Small restaurant with little seating. A reservation is therefore worth it. The food is high quality and incredibly tasty. The service was attentive and extremely friendly. We recommend.

The service was very attentive and hospitable, perhaps too friendly towards certain people. I mean, they don't have a lot of space in the restaurant, but a woman with a child came to eat and in the end the packaging from the Burger King and the cardboard box for a large drink bottle were simply left on the table, people like that with no decency, it would be another thing if they were the operators would have asked... The food was very tasty and our child was very spoiled by the operator. I wish Atarashii much success in the future and will eat there again. Thanks to the team for the good service and the effort for the great food. We spent 120 for our head family but only because I thought it was delicious and ordered it again.

I was surprised that a highly rated Japanese restaurant was set inside a supermarket of sorts. It didn't feel like the place had it's own identity, and that first impression may have affected our appreciation for the food. Not that any of the Sushi or warm dosh options we had were bad. Everything we ordered was quite nice. Predictably, the seafood lacked freshness, but the preparation and quality of it meant it still tasted alright. Which brings us to a price point that should be for beyond "alright" food, and that's what dissapointed us slightly. I think that a focus on the warm dishes and a reduction if the number of Sushi options would serve this restaurant better. Especially since they cannot compensate for the fact of their location.

It was one of the best restaurants I’ve been in Switzerland within three days. I’d definitely recommend here to anyone who wants to experience Asian/Japanese foods. If you like salmon, I’d definitely recommend you the Rainbow Lachs and the Undon was really nice as well. You’ll never regret visiting this restaurant! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed there foods. Thanks for your good quality food and service :) !! If you're sick of fondue, I recommend this place to visit :) The staff is very friendly, and the prices are reasonable considering Swiss prices (about 33 francs per person for two menus and drinks). The space is a little small, but it's not inconvenient! If you come to Bern, be sure to visit.

Fresh and delicious sushi that is well priced for Bern. Ordered takeout 2x while visiting and both times the experience was seamless for pickup. The employees were friendly and made sure we had utensils and whatnot before leaving. Give it a go!

Atarashii, offered me an exceptional take-away experience. My order consisted of a bento box with chicken, delicious gyozos, crispy spring rolls and aromatic rice - all fresh and quickly prepared. The authentic flavors of each component harmonized perfectly, creating a satisfaction that was just right without overpowering.

This was by far the best sushi I have ever had the owner was so kind and made sure to remove anything we were allergic to, no questions asked. The salmon and tuna melted in my mouth, and the miso was perfectly balanced. The one by the station doesn't have the best atmosphere, due to size, but the owner made the most of it with what space they had! It seems it is more geared for a grab and go experience which would make sense for the size and set up.

Very good food of fine quality. Prices are also reasonable. I had udon noodles with tofu and spring rolls, I would recommend both. If you're hungry and in Bern, definitely stop by here!

Nice personel. The restaurant is more of a takeaway, the dining room is small and not very attractive. The sushi quality didn't completely convince me.

We treated ourselves to this fresh sushi for dinner with friends and were very satisfied: the dishes were freshly prepared right at the counter next to our table. The service seemed friendly and accommodating to me. There are a handful of vegan dishes. I can recommend reserving a table.

Food was great, Chef was great but the service from the waiter was beyond poor. When we asked for the bento menu he gave us a bad sigh as if we were asking for his life. Fella was beyond rude. I do not recommend if you’re trying to have a nice meal.

Friendly chef, but pretty average sushi - way too much rice used in the nigiri. Quite expensive relative to the quality. By the way, "intimate" doesn't begin to describe how small this space is - there are like four tables. I suspect you can find better in Bern.

Saddest looking Bento Box ever. Fried Shrimp in Panko, fried fish, Salmon with a lot of sauce, and chicken teriyaki. Nothing fresh, no salad, no veggies, no omelette? I lived in Asia for 18 years this was just sad...

Best sushi in town. Great experience and the host is just amazing. Heard that the chef used to work in Schweizerhof after that worked as head chef in Kabuki. Its good to know that someone still has the same quality as Kabuki, maybe even better. Excellent Food and excellent service, will definitely come back again

Really, really expensive for below average food. Portion size wasn‘t even that much to begin with... :( Interior is meh. It wasn‘t terrible though, so go if you absolutely have the desire for japanese food! At least the staff was friendly :)

Of the many sushi shops in Bern, I was most impressed by the small but lovely Atarashii on the edge of the Loeb delicatessen. The chefs are extremely courteous and personally prepare the sushi or other dishes on the menu immediately after you order.

Best sushi I had in Bern. It's worth the price and tastes very fresh.

The premises are inside the LOEB supermarket, it is nice and clean, the staff is fast and correct. A medium-sized portion of udon with tofu costs 24CHF, which would perhaps be correct taking into account that we are a few meters from the station and the federal palace. Way too much glutamate for my taste. For those who are thirsty, be careful, a glass of water served from a 2L Evian bottle costs 4.50 - the price of several bottles sold three steps away in the same supermarket.

Best sushi in Bern! I’ve been to all the sushi restaurants searching for FLAVOR! The same 4-5 ingredients can be prepared exceptionally well (like here) or half-heartedly. Atarashii pays attention to details like rice temperature and Riedel wine glasses. Well done!!

Recently opened in the perfect location at LOEB grocery store, this sushi bar is a great option for sushi (and not only) loversc. Had a nice experience here, try sitting at the bar and you will see how your sushi are being made by the owner. Tasty sashimi, rolls and green tea. You can also buy sushi for take away or some fresh fish to cook at home. I was missing good sushi in Bern city and looks like I found them here. Enjoyable!
