Auberge Col-de-Soud in Ollon

I've been going there for 20 years and when it comes to pasta, it's always a treat with a weakness for the paccheri nusco. Large range of wine by the glass and flexible formula with the daily menu (starter or main course or dessert). We pay a certain price but we always get something good for sure.

What a wonderful restaurant. Good food, lovely atmosphere, especially if you sit on the terrace in the sun and super friendly staff. Make sure to make a reservation because they are popular (at least a day in advance)

The best of Villars! A must if you come here. The hostel is very authentic and the food is delicious, especially the house rösti. You can go skiing, by train, or taking a walk through the forest from the town. Super recommended!!! :)

Excellent family meal on the sunny terrace, very friendly staff and what's more, they found me a table even though I had made a mistake in the reservation time (I arrived 1h30 too early...).

I love this address, one of my favorite restaurants. The service is always friendly and the cuisine is simply divine. I love the roestis from the Col du Sous with its breaded tomme, it’s sublime and very delicious.

Too many people, the service does not follow when it is full and we are kicked out to free the table for the next service, even if the service was very slow because of the crowd.

This isn't the first time I've had lunch at Col de Soud, but I've never left a review. It is as follows: this restaurant is a marvel, a real gem. I easily rank it in my top 3 restaurants in Switzerland. Don't give up, you are the best.

What can I say except WOW! It's not just about the location with the view who is truly a mind-blowing but also😊 it's about the kindness of the staff, the professionalism and of course the food😋 We had a family reunion after a beautiful walk through the forest. You are having 2 options to go there. Walking/hiking or with the local train. The food is fresh, tasty, rich...let's be honest, when you know you are going there well you don't eat too much before, that's why for me a good hiking before it's just perfect 😃 it's a great restaurant with only local product. We had different plates and it was soo good🤤 Don't forget about the dessert!!! Usually you are sharing it but when you do you wish you didn't😂 It's a gorgeous breath-taking location. A must do, must try. You'll be more than happy that you did it. An advice, you need to go there with your closest and loved one because memories is everything. This place it's an unforgettable one. Thank you to my brother and sister-in-law for sharing this magical moment with me and my family🙏❤️

The Rostis here are not something to be missed, and it it worth making the trip up just for this! We had the ones with Tomme and Lardons... delicious! A lovely spot, and a great view from the outdoor terrace. Ideal for those skiing straight down from the pistes, but also right by a train stop for the non-skiers who wish to join. Highly recommend!

As always this lovely Restaurent never fails to impress and deliver. Excellent food with the best salad dressing I have ever tasted and always friendly. Easy access for non skiers via the railway or walking meeting up with sking friends.

Very good dish (rosti with vegetables), however it would be wise to add salad :) I take away stars not for the catering, but for the behavior of one of the people working in the service who answers the questions in a condescending tone. Damage. The other two people serving were very pleasant.

Always enjoyable to have a drink here, watch the skiing in the winter and enjoy the mountain in the summer. Good service and nice atmosphere.

We had not booked and yet despite the snowy and cold weather, you went out of your way to welcome us according to our choice outside because we could not leave without tasting your rösti and your hazelnut tart which had left us with a wonderful remember two years ago before COVID. We had a pleasant time and we once again enjoyed ourselves, thank you for your kindness and your attentiveness. without a doubt you know how to receive. Congratulations to the whole team.

By far the best address tested in the Villars region. We almost want to keep this restaurant a secret because we loved it so much ;-) All the dishes tasted were great! The röstis are to die for!!! The desserts, all “homemade” (like all the recipes), were delicious. We could stay all day and eat. A nod to the waitress Laura (if we remember her first name correctly), a service 5 ⭐️. Thanks also to Karin (in the kitchen) and Christoph (in the dining room), the owner couple, for the quality of the dishes you serve and all the heart you put into it (rarely the case in the mountains). The prices are those of the mountain. Around 40.- per person sharing a small starter, a main course each and shared desserts too (we wanted to taste them even though we had already eaten enough). We will come back for sure!

Great discovery The rösti recommended by the bus driver before the trip to the Col de la Croix surpassed anything I've ever had in a restaurant. The fact that the restaurant processes 6 tons of locally produced potatoes of the old Bintje variety every year probably says it all about this dish. The desserts are also highly recommended, for example the hazelnut cake based on a recipe from the landlady's grandmother, a woman from Lucerne. The service matches the restaurant: professional, attentive and friendly.

08.11.2021 Short hike in the region. We are attracted by their “Artisanal ice cream” sign. In this heat, we decide to stop to taste them. Generous and succulent scoop of ice cream, nothing to complain about. We saw a few dishes pass in front of us, enough to make us want to try a meal at this inn. The fifth star will be placed at this time. Otherwise the staff were friendly and welcoming despite how busy it was that day with all these people.

Great restaurant! Beautiful setting, super friendly and attentive service and the food was so good - all of it was so nicely made, absolutely fresh and delicious. The Roeschti was just perfect, the salad was crisp and fresh and the Kaeseschnitte (with pears - mmh!) was the best I ever had!

Homemade food, choice of hot daily specials to take away. It was fresh and excellent! And the homemade raspberry sorbet! A massacre !!! Friendly staff. Really great for a meal break by the slopes.

Exceptional welcome this Sunday at 2:15 p.m. while the restaurant was crowded. Although the restaurant was full on the slate at the top of the stairs, we were kindly found a table for two in a good mood and with a sense of customer service. Excellent “goatherd” roestis surrounded by a delicious, super fresh salad. My wife's "col de Soud" omelette was delicious. We'll come back to that :-). Always well received and well served near Villars / Gryon even if you almost always have to book in advance.
