The worst Italian that I can recall in my life

Close to Letzipark The Pizzas are great, and one of a kind in Zürich, and worth the money. Alcoholic Beverages like wine and grappa are good, price whise rather on the higher end. Service is friendly

High expectations for the best pizza in town. Rarely so disappointed. Pizza cold and soggy, service careless and unmotivated. Prices completely overpriced. Avoid at all costs!

The pizzas reminded me more of a tarte flambée than a "pizza". Looks nice on the plate, but unfortunately the taste wasn't convincing. There was no open beer and water in a maximum of 5dl San Pellegrino bottles. I went to the restaurant on a recommendation and wasn't convinced by the experience. 1 pizza (prosciutto/funghi) + 1 water 5dl + 1 bottled beer 3dl, 1 esspresso = 45 CHF, not cheap! Note the location.

Very good pizza with nice thin dough. The prices are just Zurich city. It's pretty loud in the restaurant.

The pizza and pasta we ordered were very good. Warning on the chili oil they give it spicy. Overall it was good dinner. A bit further away from the city center but worth the trip

It's my favorite place in my neighborhood. I come here regularly for both the food and the ambiance, especially in summer the garden is nice. And without a shred of a doubt, I can vouch for the pizza. It is the best in Zürich for me so far.

If this is supposed to be the best pizza in Zurich, then I feel sorry for the people of Zurich. Basically big flatbread with a little tomato sauce and fat cheese. The owner is also very arrogant. Be happy, my girlfriend was with me. The way he talked even though I politely said I didn't like the pizza was arrogance.

Sensational pizza - extremely thin. Waitress very friendly and accommodating. Waiters could be friendlier and say what they want and not just point it out with their heads. The room seems bare. Noise insulation would be desirable. It's hard to understand each other when the store is full. I recommend making a reservation.

Dogs not welcome! Because the week before a dog emptied its bowl and the waiter fell. Yes, that's not nice, but in the catering industry it happens from time to time that a guest or employee spills a drink on the floor. What would it have been like if a child had spilled the syrup? Would children then no longer be welcome?

The pizza and food is good, nothing to say about that. The attitude of the owner certainly needs improvement, quite arrogant attitude.

There were six of us at a table. Since the restaurant was packed and the distance between the tables was extremely close, you could no longer understand your own words. It was very, very loud and that was extremely uncomfortable. A cozy evening is not possible here. The service is great, very attentive and very nice! The food was so-so. My lasagna was more like a cheesecake. Too much cheese and not enough meat for me! The others had pizza, I think you have to enjoy this dough, it's more like a tarte flambée dough but that's just a matter of taste.

Particular pizza, neither Neapolitan nor Roman style, but rather very thin like a piadina. I found it good anyway. No yeast is used so it is light. The tiramisu was good, maybe I would have added a little cream, but the taste was there. The problem with this restaurant is the prices. It is not located in the center of Zurich, but in Altstetten. Yet tiramisu costs 14.50, spaghetti with seafood 44, starters are very expensive.

I went to this restaurant for pizza. The anticipation of the best pizza was high, but the disappointment was greater. For me the dough was too thin and was more like a tarte flambée. But still service was good, with friendly staff. Restaurant beautifully designed, unfortunately too small.

Still very good, but had to downgrade from excellent to very good because the pizza dough was different than usual and underbaked.

it is a good Italian restaurant, the owner is good and kind, the waiters are also kind and good, excellent food and good thin, tasty and digestible pizza. it was right next to our apartment and since we didn't have a parking space and in Zurich you pay for everything, the owner let us park our car in his spaces, without demanding anything and for this I will thank him for life. If I ever return to Zurich I will be sure to return to the restaurant for the food and to say hello to the great owner. I fully recommend it to anyone who is in those parts.. the price is similar to other local restaurants... obviously higher than in Italy..

I'm disappointed! Spaghetti Carbonara was cold and dried on top, as if it had been standing for half an hour. Colleagues' pizzas were more tarte flambées than pizzas. Service bad and rude.

Unfortunately, the photos on the Internet already confirm that this has nothing to do with a pizza, but just passes for a tasteless tarte flambée. Anyone who knows anything about pizza can tell. The pasta was good. The food was totally overpriced. And 16 fr for an Aperol!!! There are much better alternatives in Zurich such as Piu or NA

The salad and Ravioli were delicious and the food is high quality, well prepared and presented in good way

It's okay, but, in my opinion, more fame than anything else.

The pizza was okay but definitely not the best pizza in the city of Zurich. The service including the behavior of the boss was subpar. There was no sign of hospitality. A restaurant that rests on its good reputation (which I cannot understand). When we paid, we weren't thanked for the visit but were just told the price and then "receipt"? said. No thanks, no goodbye. We definitely won't be coming back. When we left I was still annoyed that we even gave a tip. The boss's behavior towards the service employees was also questionable.

Pizza is sensational at Azzuro! If you really want to try an exceptional, delicious pizza 🍕, Azzuro is the right place for you. The base is wafer-thin and is also very tasty. There is free parking. Not a given in Zurich either. An Italian to recommend 👍👍👍👍👍

The pizza was very good - very thin and gigantic. It was also very quick - but the restaurant itself had extremely tight seating and therefore didn't seem particularly cozy - and the service could have been really friendlier.

Service not good and not very friendly, even though only 3 tables were occupied. Salad wasn't fresh, had nothing to do with a mixed salad and sauce was way too sour. Pizza was ok.

The expectations were very high as it is one of the "best" pizzerias in Zurich, unfortunately they were not met. The pizza was okay, but it was nothing more, well topped, (very, very) thin and large. Service was also okay, the location is next to the main road and therefore quite loud, the fountain in the garden sprays water in the immediate area (and can get you wet).

Very good pizzas, the fact that the restaurant is always fully booked speaks for the quality of the food. In terms of price, however, it is more in the upper class.

The hype surrounding the “best pizza” in Switzerland seems to have slowly faded away: - Pizza 🍕 large and very thin, but tasty, almost tarte flambée - Price? Well, in Zurich the husband and wife are probably willing to pay 32.90 (!) for a pizza - crazy - Service: no emotions, no joy for the guest, routine and almost dismissive conditions from one gentleman - Parking: many free spaces behind the house 👍 Our company, which had a business lunch here, agrees: once is enough 😤

These are by far the best pizzas in the city of Zurich. And definitely as advertised, top 3 in Switzerland!

This is by far one of the best Pizzeria in Zürich. They are pretty big pizzas, can easily share one between 2 people and save some room for desert. Old world charm, and service can feel a little cool, but they are welcoming. Great range, excellent hot chilli oil, and great wine, with an espresso that will definitely wake you up and leave you feeling refreshed. Excellent grappa, and deserts that have to be tried. Nice homely place for a relaxed evening meal.

The location outside is very lovely, with olive trees, fountain and birds. The young waiter is very kind and polite. The pizza is very big but the bread is not the one you would expect in a pizza, it remains very thin and crunchy like a cracker. Pizza was not my favorite here.

Very nice atmosphere, excellent service, hospitable as you would imagine Italy!!! The food is authentic and a taste explosion and everything is really fresh!!! I will definitely go to this restaurant several times...

Best pizza & very very very nice to eat outside - holiday atmosphere

The best restaurant for people with celiac disease in Zurich!! The pizza with and without gluten is always delicious, definitely the best in Zurich. The staff is very efficient and very friendly. I am very grateful that Azurro has an offer for those affected by celiac disease! I 100% recommend this restaurant!!!

It's not bad, but the extremely large diameter of the pizza has two important disadvantages: 1) Because of the large area, the pizza is only sparsely topped and it has many "bare" spots. 2) Since the floor is extremely thin, there is no mass to store heat... it's completely cold before half way through, which makes the little surface even more boring.

A lot of free car parks. The prawn is big and fresh. The pizza portion is quite big.

Good pizzas and antipasti. We were there with a group of 18 people after a team run and we were able to sit at a long table in the garden. The ordering, service and payment process was satisfactory.

The online reservation worked perfectly. Enough parking spaces behind the house. The service from the older bald man (owner?) was cold and we felt unwanted. The restaurant seems to run itself... All the tables were occupied (Saturday evening at 6 p.m.) and the noise level was unfortunately very high. We deliberately ordered pizzas because they are supposedly among the top three in Switzerland (this was the case in 2017). Well, as we all know, taste can be debated. Very thin dough base and edge but crisp, tomato sauce perfect, but the mozzarella was saved and the topping (funghi and ham) was also rather sparse. However, the taste is good. Price for Zurich ok They didn't thank us for the tip and we were probably happy that we left our table quickly (after an hour). Conclusion: we will not come here again because of the customer unfriendliness.

The service is very unfriendly and arrogant. Pizza is ok, but nothing more. Prices rather high. There are better pizzerias in the area.

Rather disappointing. The quality of the pizzas didn't convince us. They used to be much better.

Delicious food. Had no better pizza in Switzerland. The timings are shown as 11pm closing time but they were upset when we reached at 10.15pm despite making an appointment online, at their website.

Carelessly prepared salad with sour (done?) sauce, pizza tasted ok but served on cold glass plates, cold after 5 minutes, pepperoncini was sensational, we didn't like the coffee, no thanks for the 10% tip. Were there for the first time and won't be coming back.

Instead of a hello welcome: dogs are not allowed. We made reservations and registered the dog. We reluctantly got a table. This was so tight that a pregnant woman or a slightly fuller person would not have been able to get through. Pizza is as big and thin as a tarte flambée. Halfway through it was cold and the mozzarella was rubbery. The wine is white: a Fiano house wine or red: from Apulia, which exactly couldn't be said. At least it wasn't charged because of cones. At the end we weren't asked for coffee or dessert. At some point we ordered the bill. Of course no one asked if it was good. The answer would have been honest. It's a shame, this restaurant was recommended to us, we can't recommend it.

Unfortunately not the best pizza in Zurich. The ambience is quite nice, the service is not that attentive, so you lose money. A question e.g.: "May it be something to drink, dessert or coffee?" Could have extended the evening.

Nice service; Restaurant nice Italian flair; However, tables are too close together. Pizza is generally good with thin dough, unfortunately served lukewarm. In my opinion, it's also far too big; Something smaller and cheaper would be more appropriate these days. The 7dl bottle of red wine by the glass (Insiglio 2020) with mediocre quality cost CHF 69 (in the Manor, for example, for CHF 18). Almost corresponds to a factor of 4, with probably even more favorable purchasing conditions, rather more and therefore completely exaggerated.

I remember a few years ago. Had our car towed even though we were eating there. Works with the towing company scammers who then want a lot of cash in exchange for giving away the car. Rip-off.

Pizza dough wasn't quite as tasty. Dessert panna cotta was rock hard and I had to choke it down. Location was pleasant. The team always moves quickly and is not always understanding

A super nice restaurant with Italian flair. There are huge pizzas with dough that is rolled out very thinly so that there is enough space for a lot of toppings. Azzurro's pizzas were rightly voted among the best in Zurich. Fabulous, would love to do it again.

I ate the pasta and I think it's a little bit too hard, although they are generous with the portion. For the taste, it's good but not amazing, but I am not from Europe so my tastebud and preference might be different. Local people should like it more. For the service, it's not really tourist friendly, but I'm sure it will be fine if you know local language/Italian. The place itself is okay, but it's very very noisy.

Huge pizza on super thin dough. It was pretty crispy, but too thin for my taste, almost like puff pastry. The pizza probably came out of the oven too early because the cheese wasn't even melted properly. Had to send them back again. All in all OK, but doesn't necessarily need to be repeated.

Beware, they do not serve tap water but they do not inform about it. If you ask for some water they bring 2 bottles of pelegrino for a couple. That’s how you make a business! 13 CHF for water. Picture of receipt attached.
