B-A-P in Genève

During my 10-day trip to Switzerland, I had a great experience at this restaurant. I especially liked their Bulgogi and Yukgaejang soup. The service staff was very friendly and enthusiastic.

It’s surprising that there is such a delicious Korean restaurant in Geneva. The noodles are super delicious.

I especially recommend the BBQ and pork kimchi soup, which are very delicious! The service is also very good and patient! I will come again next time!

We planned to eat here today (March 30th 2024) and arrived a few minutes after 6pm. We walked in to hear at least 2 people in the kitchen, we said 'bonjour' and spoke between ourselves but having waited 5 mins we decided to eat elsewhere. we had a walk around and ended up walking past 10-15 mins later, we looked inside briefly but still no one was in the restaurant to welcome us. Guests should come first, not having laughs with your colleagues in the back. Marked food as 3 but sadly didn't get a chance to try it.

I don't put negative reviews unless necessary. This is not my first time eating and ordering here, and my go-to food is always yukgaejang. The second time I ordered via Uber Eats was a catastrophe. With the price I paid, and my soup having only a few beef and vegetables and the majority is just water. The only thing that made it a bit more pleasant is my rice. Seriously, I lived in South Korea for over three years, my mother and step father still live there, and if they see how this restaurant prepares their food it'll be a complete shame. I will never eat there nor will I order again. I would not recommend this to anybody either.

The restaurant guarantees taste and quality for each dish on their menu. I have had the opportunity to eat there several times and I have never been disappointed or poorly served! The staff is very competent (fast service and good recommendations/advice). The atmosphere is calm even when the restaurant is full (no need to shout to hear each other speak).

I am Korean. Every food was bit sweet but understandable. Felt like this was not real Kimchi. Service was a bit uncomfortable.

Restaurant that offers Korean dishes. Between the classic bibimbap and bulgogi meat, you also have vegetarian options with tofu. We had the jin menu. We didn't have to cook the meat ourselves, as traditionally. An employee cooked the meat in front of us and served it to us in a broth with vegetables. For dessert, the "rice paste with red beans" cake was clearly mochi (the waitress insisted not when I asked her...). In addition, the restaurant has a room on the first floor. I didn't find the food very authentic Korean...the "kimchi" was mostly white cabbage. I ordered kimchi chigae, there were more onions than anything else. My friend ordered a barbecue bulgogi but it was a little bland. Overall, it wasn't bad but I didn't find the real Korean flavors. Service ok, a little too fast.

Cold staff, who practice pushy sales: we had ordered a teapot with two cups, two teapots were brought to us against our will in order to inflate the bill… The prices were exaggerated (especially the tteokbokki). It is entirely possible to find a better Korean restaurant in Geneva.

Be careful: BAP is not at all an authentic Korean restaurant. I definitely won't come back, even if the meal was okay. Charging CHF 10.— for 4 mini 반찬 is unheard of in a Korean restaurant. And what’s more, they charge CHF 3 per person for tap water. There are no small profits, are there? The glowing reviews probably come from people who have never been to Korea or have no knowledge of real Korean cuisine. The BAP is run by the Chinese, and while the food there is acceptable, it is neither really delicious, nor varied enough, nor above all authentic. And way too expensive for what it is. I have never eaten 해물파전 in such a small portion and with more fresh onions than seafood and a dough that was ultra thin and not even very good. Pieces of chili placed on the pizza-style crepe? Anything. Frankly, a shame, and this for CHF 18.—. Even in Zurich the prices are more reasonable for this type of entry. The tofu from 비빔밥 which cost CHF 28.— (for the tofu version, and without egg!) was rancid and acidic and had a strange consistency (expired?), I couldn't finish it. The rice was dry and burnt on the bottom even though I mixed everything together from the start, and I didn't taste the sesame oil. It lacked taste and flavor, but the rest of the dish was acceptable. The ice cream was ok, the scoops generous, but seemed to have been stored incorrectly in the freezer, because it was full of solid ice crystals in it. The red bean flavor clearly lacked red bean taste. Note: From 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. there was virtually no one there... zero atmosphere. Friendly service, but quickly overwhelmed.

Last Friday, after work I went to BAP and order food,so delicious ,very authentic Korean food.Normally if I want to eat Korean food, I only come here!

I seldom write negative reviews unless I really need to. Korean food but not Korean. For the very first time having Korean meal that you need to pay additional CHF10 for 4 side dishes. Spicy porc/pork taste so much different from the original doejigogi. Salad was practically just few pieces of lettuce and a small portion miso sauce at the side. The service crews barely speak or understand English. Atmosphere was way too quiet to have a warm and comfort dinner. We are the only two customers having dinner when we spend almost 1 hours there.

I had a beef bibimbap and my friend had a ramen, it was sogogo I think. With kimchi and ravioli as a starter. We also took two bottles of soju, plain and strawberry.

I came here because another Korean restaurant was fully booked. I ordered bibimbap and asked for tap water, but was charged 1 franc for the water. The worst part was that while I was eating in the hot weather of 34 degrees, three local people came in and they moved the fan there. Who's saying it's hot Dizzy? I should have read the review first, but it was a waste of 30 francs, so I ate the whole thing without leaving anything. It would be better to just go to a Chinese restaurant.

Very good, the bulgogi is to die for. Only downside: a little expensive and the servers are not very chatty, but normal, there was a bit of a language barrier haha For your eternal salvation: have the cinnamon dessert drink 😍

They have lunch menu with better price than normal. Authentic korean flavor that you may try in the heart of Geneva. Note that they dont have too many tables to serve big groups.

It’s a scam. Do not fall for the interior decoration. For those of you not familiar with Korean eatery standard. You will get typically six small dishes of appetizers for free. This is obviously not provided. Fine. Then the menu is wholly lacking choices. Standard stews and soups that’re on every Korean restaurant menu are missing. Then comes the price. For CHF18, you’ll get an infuriatingly paltry portion of “Korean pancake” that’s a far cry from the standard portion which is twice as big and as thick. The quality is barely acceptable. Bibimbap (CHF28 each) is made with soggy rice, paired with an excessively salty, microwaved miso soap that is lukewarm with harden tofu (it should be soft). Please note that all the reviews above are made benchmarking against a typical Korean eatery in any western city. It’s a complete waste of time and money. We will never visit again.

I booked a table in this restaurant and the friend who was supposed to go with me got an accident and went to Emergency and I had to take care of her, so I completely forgot to cancel the reservation. The owner called me and I explained this situation and apologized to him, however, after hearing this, he still insulted me for quite a few minutes and insisted that I should go reimburse him 20 CHF per person, which I would love to if he could just keep a civilized tone. Personally I am very frustrated on by this call on top of the night I have had , and I don't think the restaurant would go far with such an inhuman owner who only cares about his own benefits. If you are 100% sure that you would go to this restaurant, I still recommend it because the food is good, although from my experience it's not an authentic Korean restaurant non of the employees there is actually Korean.

I am rating 4 stars for the main dish as it was very good. But service was very slow.. I received my miso soup (not warm enough) 15mins after ordering. we had to wait for another 15mins for the main dish. My son didnt order anything for entrée because he was hungry and was really waiting for the main dish. Only if we were informed that their wait time for serving their main dish will take awhile, then we should have ordered starters while waiting, unfortunately, nothing was said. Tea went cold when food arrived.

First time eating here. The food was great. The service as well. I had tried the spicy rice sticks and it's sauce is incredible. Also tried the spicy chicken as the main dish. It didn't taste spicy at all unfortunately, but it was still really good.
