B51 in Winterthur

Delicious coffee, delicious biscuits, the ice cream wasn't quite as aromatic as hoped! Cool location, very friendly service.

Nice uncomplicated place for coffee and ice cream. The coffee is roasted regionally in a factory and is purchased and sold fairly, away from the world market price dictates. Sam's passion is coffee, which you can simply feel and taste.

We visited B51 for the first time today. In this beautiful old converted wagon there are some wooden seats for guests in the front part. If you continue through, you will reach the back area where the sales counter is located. Even though it's not exactly huge in terms of space, we immediately felt at home there. The waitresses behind the counter were very friendly and uncomplicated. We tried ice cream and cappucino with soy milk. There was also a free “Guetzli”. :) The cappucino tasted very good, but it was the homemade, vegan ice cream that really blew us away in terms of taste. Really extremely delicious! Our insider tip: The quince ice cream - simply a dream! We will visit the B51 more often in the future and can highly recommend it to you.

I tried lemon, apricot and strawberry ice cream and it was outstanding. Although I ordered a small cup, it was very well filled and there was enough to try out all the different flavors. In B51 you don't pay for individual scoops of ice cream, but simply for the size of the cup. So you can mix all the different varieties together without having to pay a fortune. The service was very friendly and the seating is also very comfortable and fits in well with the rest of the car. I will definitely go for ice cream again.
