Bacco in Arth

We went to Pizzeria Bacco for the first time today. We only had a starter and can therefore not fully rate the restaurant. I thought the price of 26.50 for a plate of Parma ham was reasonable, but in fact there were only 9 wafer-thin slices of Parma ham on the plate, which I find very expensive for the price. The melon didn't look so fresh anymore either. The weather outside was wonderfully sunny, unfortunately the terrace was closed. The view of the lake was fantastic. The staff was friendly, after pointing out that the portion was already very small, they said that it was an appetizer. (which is also true) Despite the rather bad first impression, I would perhaps give the restaurant a second chance.

Great authentic Italian food, friendly and personal service. Works for the whole day on weekends which is rare for Switzerland.

This is probably one of the better Italian food restaurants in the region. The pizzas are great, but so many other dishes to try that are excellent too. Always welcoming staff and a seating indoors or outdoors with a view to mountain Rigi, the lake and the sunset. Hard to beat. You might want to book here, it's a popular place. Update. Went again for lunch. This time I had to wait 30 mins to be able to pay, asking 3 times and getting a yes and then nothing. When they are busy, which is often, the quality of the service drops. Food is still good. Adjusted down my rating accordingly.

Very nice location, very fine food, very friendly staff. I recommend making a reservation if you want to eat there on a sunny summer day/evening.

Please adjust your holiday absence on Google. Then we wouldn't drive to Arth in vain only to see that you're not open. This is very annoying.

Located directly on the southern tip of Lake Zug with a view of the Rigi. Very accommodating staff and great food. I would be happy to come back.

Very welcoming and familiar service and environment. Excellent for dinners for couples on the terrace with a breathtaking sunset, a romantic touch guaranteed. We organized our department dinner here with a rich and vast course of mixed starters, followed by pizzas. We couldn't have chosen a better place! Many thanks again to all the staff who made us feel at home. All the dishes were truly delicious!

We didn't feel that welcome. The view of the lake is very nice, but the furnishings are very dated.

Especially in summer, outside... wonderful views of Lake Zug! We love coming here! Nice service and the food is included in the price! Unfortunately not enough PP. You have to go find one...

I love this genuine and lovely restaurant! Besides the rally nice staff, that makes you feel more than welcome, they serve you really good food. I have eaten here many times and always feel so good when leaving. And we have the amazing view, of course.

The food was good, as we are used to. And the restaurant is still beautifully located 😜 The service was very brief and basically correct. But friendliness fell a bit short that evening.

No matter what I order, the food is always delicious. Service was very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was wonderful!

Incredible experience. I'm glad I paid attention to the gate that leads to the restaurant. Warm welcome from all sides with charm, wit and humor, great service and despite the full terrace there was still time to exchange a few words. Speaking of the terrace: super awesome, on the water, lots of shade - great. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and a delight. It's clear to me: if I'm in the area again, I'll definitely eat there again 👍👌

Unfortunately dissatisfied 3 times in a row. What happens in Bacco? There is a lot to complain about, especially in terms of service. With such a beautiful terrace on the lake, the restaurant urgently needs to change something in terms of service. Otherwise success will soon be history. Arth needs a Top Bacco that is more than a pizzeria.

The portions used to be larger and the menu was more appealing. Unfortunately, the service wasn't that great either. The wine came when we were almost finished eating. A little disappointing compared to a year ago.

The place is beautiful and the atmosphere is beautiful on the lake, but the problem is that the pizza does not open until 6 pm, and the oven does not open before that. I had shrimp pasta, it was good, but not the best.

I would love to come back, but I would like the service staff to be more attentive. I think there was a person missing from service? when later several people came. The location and the ambience were great. Not a cheap restaurant but would love to come back. The tiramisu was also great.

It was beautiful weather and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The location was perfect.

Atmosphere and scenery are just wonderful. Service was quick and positive. Downside was the limited choice in white wine by glass (only house wine). Food was a tad greasy, but still good. Overall just a very good dinner!

I haven't had such a delicious starter in a long time, great food, great location right on the lake, very friendly and attentive staff. And now another 5 star complaint at a high level 😄:,....next time I also wish I could eat the starter with my wife,...because we'll definitely be back!😉

Top restaurant! We were here as a couple for the third time. Service very very friendly and attentive. Very large, comprehensive map. Price performance top! Here men/women can eat really tasty food and enjoy the view of Lake Zug. Top!

Wonderful place, terrace on the lake and the sunset adds a plus. A nice restaurant and pizzeria menu, every taste can be satisfied! Friendly and friendly staff, prepared and attentive.

Very unfriendly telephone information, I hope the other staff are more accommodating.

The restaurant would be in a top location and the menu would be excellent. Unfortunately, the owners are obviously doing far too well. It starts with making a reservation 3 days in advance… Phones are not answered, emails are not answered... When you get a table, the staff is obviously overworked and extremely unfriendly… The food was acceptable but definitely not worth the money… Best regards Peter

Typical Italian service and fine food

-1 star = long waiting times -1 star = we were charged too much, in total it was 120 too much.

Waitress made many mistakes while ordering. Unfortunately we also had to wait a long time for the food. It was busy - first day of summer and Whitsunday, but it could have been managed better. When it came to the bill, they guessed about 150.- too much consumption... but the Neapolitan waiter made up for a lot with his friendly and funny manner. The food and the ambience by the lake were perfect. Basically great restaurant. Unfortunately I wasn't entirely convinced on this visit. Will come again anyway :)

Always great to eat there and spend a few hours there. Directly on Lake Zug. Seen from the street, inconspicuous. Service very attentive and the food is very good.

Was fine and dignified. We had pizza, lasagne and a veal cutlet with porcini mushrooms and the incomparable Merlot Maria Shizuko, all excellent.

The friendliness on the phone wasn't exactly very compassionate. Yes, after we were 4, some of the family got involved. So there were 8 people. They knowingly leave a few francs lying around. Unfortunately, someone in the group had an accident last night. So two can't come. And knowing how important the space is to you, we thought it was the right call to make. Which I almost regret now. Because to hear on the phone; “You’re done changing now,” likes me.

Perfetto 👌🏼 a wonderful location right on the lake. Italian atmosphere with friendly staff 🫶🏼 wonderfully fragrant and homemade bread. I've eaten a lot of pizzas, but this belongs in the top 10 🤩 Price/performance for the lunch menus 👍🏼

Everything is just right here: the quality of the food, the extremely friendly service, the ambience. The boss (Angelo) still gets involved himself, is committed and makes sure that the guests are satisfied. This restaurant sets the benchmark for Italian restaurants in Switzerland. Keep it up!

Super friendly, great service, but we were served the pizza with the starter. That was a bit too fast for us, after about 20 minutes we were asked if they could serve us the pizza and it was there in a minute, then we knew that it was warmed up and that was confirmed by the service. We wanted a new one, which is what we got. shouldn't happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great location, great atmosphere, great food, friendly staff Very well made spaghetti carbonara, good tiramisu, a bit undersalted prawn cocktail with delicious bread. All in a quiet spot, with an outside terrace with a great view of the lake, right at the waterfront. Prices are reasonable for the location. I will definitely come back.

We had lunch at Barco in Arth on June 20, 2022. We were disappointed right from the start because the staff were very uninterested in us. My father and my brother had penne arrabiata which was very bland and was more of a tomato soup than sauce... I had grilled salmon which was GOOD and my mother had pizza Roberto but which never comes close to the quality of Salvi & Gino in Goldau. So much for that...think about it...

We were warmly welcomed and served immediately. The Primi Piatti was also there quickly and nothing worked anymore! 👎During the next 45 minutes of waiting, guests arrived, ordered, ate and left! ⏳️We sat at a table and waited for our food. After 50 minutes I pointed out to the staff whether we were still getting the main course. The answer we got was “We have now ordered the food”🤔 We also had to alert the staff twice for a 1/2 liter of water. In the end we got 1lt. Water🙄 We are a bit disappointed with the Bacco as we have had better service.
