Very tasty food at good prices, the service staff and the host are friendly and attentive. Gladly again, I can definitely recommend it!

Spontaneous visit after having only heard good things. Unfortunately, the supposed Italian salad dressing spoiled the whole salad plate and the burger patty was massively too salty. The lunch menu would probably have been a much better choice. Location and staff otherwise very appealing, accommodating and friendly! I guess I was just unlucky with my choice...

I have been there for my birthday and it start bad when they told me was not possible to share 500gr of meat, so we had to take 200gr and 300 gr to make us spend more for a meat that without sauce and butter tasted like nothing.. furthermore we took a plate of fried stuff that was 80% fried potatoes and they gave us other fried potatoes with the meat.. if u really have to go there think about 2 times

A friendly restaurant in Oberarth. Excellent unfiltered homemade beer. Very attentive and quick service. The Wienerschnitzel for 34.50 was a real letdown: rubbery meat laced with tendons. Breading not crispy. Any Austrian who knows a really well-made Wienerschnitzel would have sent it straight back to the kitchen. I complained and the waitress brought me another small piece of the same meat and said her cordon bleu was always good. But what does this have to do with Wienerschnitzel? I was hungry and ate it without much enjoyment. The vegetable garnish was good. It was perfectly cooked and nice and crunchy. The air in the restaurant was stuffy. There is no ventilation here, which still works even when the windows are closed in cold weather. No further comment.....

Great location service, friendly and very attentive, we were greeted personally by Martin Annen, the food was great... and when 200 guests are served at the same time, it is a gastronomic masterpiece. Good solid tasty traditional Swiss cuisine in a rustic/modern setting and home brewed beer (that has become better and better since they started this). Many traditional Swiss meals that are usually quite big, so expect a full belly. The staff is quite friendly and welcoming. Plenty of parking space outside. Great restaurant and bar, and open every day.

You can smoke inside, so it's not suitable for everyone. The girls and staff are very nice and positive.

The food at this place was fantastic and the chasse menu was impressive. However, despite friendly service, we waited over an hour for our food and I have never (until now) been in a restaurant in Switzerland where smoking indoors is actually a thing. Everyone here was lighting up indoors and smoking freely, and ashtrays were available everywhere. I was pretty confused by this plus it didn't help with the dining experience - seemed I had gone back in time :(

I liked it very much: there is parking nearby, friendly staff, delicious food. We ordered from the wild menu, that is, the meat of wild animals. There was venison in bacon with traditional cabbage, apple and chestnut; cordon bleu attack from a wild boar. 3 dishes, 3 glasses of beer came to about 87 euros

The big event couldn't be better...the atmosphere is very nice, you feel very comfortable. The service was super friendly and extremely fast with the service. As a guest at a wedding aperitif. The aperitif was very good, large selection and also the drinks. The innkeeper personally received the bride and groom. The staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful.

Highly recommended! I was traveling with the truck and was looking for a suitable place to sleep with good food and found it at the Horseshoe Restaurant. The friendliness and interaction are impeccable and the food is very good. Parking situation for trucks = approx. 5 parking spaces 100m from the restaurant in the industrial area. Plus point for truck drivers = free shower, which is very clean and well maintained.

Swiss traditional food, big portions, delicious beers made a their own brewery just had to wait for our food too long, nearly 1 hour....

We spontaneously wanted to have another drink at 11 p.m., there was a closed group at the brewery, so we went to the restaurant, after what felt like 10 minutes the service came shaky, they served the drinks with little enthusiasm, one panache with a little Citro (didn't work) 1 Cola Zero (Sinalco Cola Zero came), yes there is a difference and should be mentioned, 1 time Vodka with Sprite, that worked. There was no good evening when we entered, no thanks for the visit or anything else. We all know that it is a tough job. But I expect a certain level of friendliness and information about the ordered or napkin products in every restaurant. It's beautifully furnished and has a great selection of food. Maybe we'll try our luck in the early evening.

Restaurant in a cozy Arvenstübli look, with a particularly successful quote from the restaurant owner on the restaurant ceiling, who was also known as a Swiss bobsledder. The restaurant is generously designed and you immediately feel at home. A terrace also invites you to get together in a cozy atmosphere in the warm summer months. The staff was exceptionally friendly and professional during our visits. The food is home-style with a certain pizzazz and the portions mean no one goes home hungry. In the Schöntal restaurant we cook with fresh products and the quality is always consistently high. a plus that cannot be taken for granted. This is primarily intended as a big compliment to the kitchen. The price-performance ratio is right and that's why we can recommend this restaurant not far from Lake Zug with a clear conscience.

I had dinner here this evening with my partner and our dog. Twice the fillet on the hot stone, once 300g and once 500g. The food was excellent! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I run a restaurant with 150 seats in Lucerne and know how difficult it is to find staff. So many thanks again to the nice young lady who served our table! Hats off! Came here for the second time from northwestern Switzerland because it is simply delicious! The entire service makes a bright impression and is extremely friendly despite the amount of work involved! I have known the restaurant for many years and have always been treated courteously. Recently, on a Sunday morning, I mistakenly entered the bar through the bar entrance with a dark-skinned colleague. After a few seconds, a frightening silence fell in the room and we were stared at by many younger men wearing black T-shirts with white lettering as if we were extraterrestrials. It is obvious what kind of hospitality the above-mentioned guest is about. We were then served professionally and friendly by the restaurant staff in the dining room. Nevertheless, this visit to the Horseshoe was an embarrassing experience for me…. I recommend that the landlord keep an eye on the composition of the bar's guests. It would be a shame for the restaurant's good performance if its name came into disrepute because of such circumstances...

Great food, especially the meat dishes. It is famous for beef filet on the rock, where you can grill each bite just as much as you like. They also brew their own beer. It's connected to a bar through the hallway so you can go and drink something to digest all this food afterwards.

Great restaurant and bar. We enjoyed a very good dinner. Unfortunately, the service was a bit understaffed, so at times you couldn't see any of the service staff at all. We also sometimes had to order drinks twice. However, the service staff was very friendly and the service generally worked very well. The bar is nicely decorated, the music was varied but emotionally it didn't have a certain flow/structure. Here too, the service was very friendly and quick.

Our family Christmas dinner was amazing. Super friendly service, great cuisine, no one had to go home hungry because almost everyone came from Entlebuch and went home happy and full. Märtel and the crew for such a great experience, ending in the bar of course.

A super great place. Very nice restaurant. And the knight's hall is also very beautiful. And the food is great. And you get enough to eat, even for hard workers. And it's just really cozy, no matter which part of the restaurant or hall you are in. I'm completely thrilled.

I had the class reunion in this restaurant on Saturday November 12th, 2022 and I can only recommend it. The food was great (portions a bit too big for me but I'm not a big eater) the staff was super friendly and very prompt. And the location is simply great. Great go on.

Very nice, rustic restaurant with its own brewery in Oberarth. Beautiful wooden interior and large, beautiful outdoor area with sturdy tables. The food was very good and the portions were just right. There are plenty of parking spaces available and the prices are absolutely fair and reasonable. We would love to come by again.

I'll start with the positive: The location is attractive, the service is super nice. 🙂 The negative thing that made me give it 2 stars is the following: The portions are way too small. (Thai curry chicken, spare ribs, chicken breasts etc...) And I would take the spare ribs off the menu as quickly as possible. I wouldn't even feed something like that to my cat. No real marinade, therefore zero taste. 2-3 vegetable things with fries on top. Unfortunately I expected much more here and was really disappointed.

One of the few restaurants in Switzerland that is absolutely convincing. The food is very good. The staff is very friendly and always makes you feel like you are always there without seeming intrusive. The events are also worth attending. It's worth visiting the homepage every now and then. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right.
