Bachmann in Luzern

Bachmann started very small and is now a large bakery... Very good cakes in a huge selection for every taste.

You clearly and clearly order 2 x hot chocolates in German from the bar for 9.40CHF, and you pay 11.80CHF for the hot chocolate etc in English.. and this HotChocolate is only on small flyers. and you can't leave a tip when paying by card... What a shame...

My favorite place for all kinds of baked goods, excellent quality and very friendly staff. Recommended!

A beautiful bakery with a wide variety of breads and especially breads with a long dough rest! I bought the braid with a long dough rest, it was still very good and fresh after 3 days! And the rye sourdough bread is also very, very tasty. I can only recommend this bakery 👌

Went to the Lucerne carnival and stopped by the Bachmann as a Basel resident! It was great that I could use the toilet without having to pay anything.

I don't really recommend the chocolate in the first photo. I bought it because it was cute, but it just tastes like Ferrero Rocher. This restaurant is a delicious macaron restaurant. I was surprised that it was so small compared to regular macarons, but it was really delicious. Any flavor is delicious. I bought 4 macarons to share with a friend, but he recommended we sample each macaron. Europe, which is generous in tasting, is too small haha. The staff are all busy but friendly. I think it's unfortunate that the unfriendly reviews were due to staff by staff. I also purchased Lindt chocolate, but the price is only in 100 gram units. You can also purchase less than 100 grams. Since I bought about 6, I ended up with 9 grams, which is less than 100 grams, so keep that in mind!

As a member of a tour group, we came to this store for shopping after being introduced by the tour guide. We had selected many products and went to the checkout with high expectations. However, a staff member was extremely impatient. For example, at first, a customer next to me was still there. When considering how to check out, the staff kept using language that the other party did not understand and rolled his eyes, hoping to quickly let the customer pay by credit card. Delicious gelato flavors and what a variety to choose from! Loved the pistachio one 😍. Yummy cakes, bakery items and chocolates! Must try!

I always choose the same sandwich: Parisette with clay mousse. It's hands down the best sandwich in the world. I can highly recommend the chocolate without milk. (pure, liquid chocolate) The cozy restaurant offers a wide selection of delicacies, from chocolates to donuts. Although the waitress was overwhelmed, she was friendly. Only criticism: Confiserie Bachmann: have you ever heard of the “The Nice Toilet” campaign?

Patisserie and café are very fine. Staff was very friendly.

If you are in Lucerne and have some time to spare, a visit to Confiserie Bachmann on Schwanenplatz is just right. Here you will be treated to all sorts of delicacies in the tea room.

Visited in 2019 I entered the store right after it opened. I was surprised to see chocolate flowing all over the wall! I received a cake at the eat-in space at the back of the store. I'm very satisfied!

Bachmann is a great Bakery. Best Vermicelles by far and great Ice Cream too🤩 The Cupcakes are also pretty decent. Schutzengeli, best Chocolate on the planet. 🤝

Great coffee & home of "Best Hot Chocolate" in Switzerland.

It was a great gelato and chocolate restaurant. I recommend Hazelnut Gelato. There were a lot of people and many people came to receive souvenirs. As a souvenir, you can get a Lucerne tourist guidebook at the information desk next to the Lucerne train station, which contains a souvenir coupon you can receive at Bachmann.

We purchased a couple of panninis for takeaway here and a bag of chocolates to boot. Service was good as were the sandwiches.

Catastrophe! The toilet facility is totally dirty and full of feces, and you still charge 1 franc for that. Food was good. Not recommended

Super fine sandwiches, salads and sweets. Unfortunately, the staff at Schwanenplatz are often not that friendly. Stressed, in a bad mood or not good with customers. Very unfortunate. Branches at Lucerne train station both have much friendlier staff.

Their products are good, not the best we found. They do have good gift items which we boughts a few of.

We came to the coffee shop on Tuesday, November 21st, 2023 at 6:10 p.m. and ordered a light bowl and a hot chocolate. We weren't asked to take it away or drink it here, she made it in a paper cup for 4.70 Fr. That's a disgrace and since I still have it I hadn't eaten anything all day, so I bought the last two sandwiches. We weren't asked to eat there or to take away. I reacted and got them on two plates. That would still work, but the curry chicken roll was 6.50 Fr. and the clay roll was 5.40 Fr . were probably in the display all day because the edges were crumbling and the tomatoes were completely shriveled up and that too without a price reduction that I as a saleswoman would have seen and made the customer aware of it. I worked in production at Bachmann for 10 years and I have to say that there is no service in this restaurant and it's not the first time this has happened to me there

Excellent place to enjoy a coffee or a pastry. However expect quite a lot of people which can be slightly more stressful then the usual calm swiss coffee shop ambiance.

Got free box of lindt chocolate when you show them the advertisement from the Lucerne guide book. Quite busy during the afternoon, but lots of chocolate and baked goods to buy.

After walking around the stores to do some shopping, we stopped at this bakery to grab something to eat. A warm welcome to the very spacious, bright and clearly designed bakery. We bought almost all the flavors of macarons to try out. The crust is crispy on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside, and the filling in the middle is moderately sweet and a little fatty. The price is reasonable and it's worth a try.

Cons: prices are above average, extremely small premises, although from the outside it seems the opposite. The salads are not very good, a lot of leaves and little else. Very good place to buy chocolates and eat a quick dinner. We had pizza and coffee. The ambience is beautiful. Well laid out. The location is right in front of popular tourist bus pickup points. Place seems to very cheaper than the ones the tour guides point you to! This is right next to the big Rolex shop and other watches' street in Lucerne.

Sorry for the subterranean Switzerland, of course everyone wants to call it a day then they just close the door 5 minutes before the end of opening hours, but clearing away the ice cream flavors in front of the waiting customer is outrageous. Sorry, this was the last time I left money there.

I always go to this place when in Luzern. They serve the best hot chocolate, pastries and have fresh bread. Also have a nice collection of chocolates, gift packs. Staff is friendly and service is fast.

I recently ordered a photo cake from Bachmann and was absolutely thrilled when it was handed over to your store... At the beginning I was looking for a HP where I could actually use my photo straight away, without the lengthy email correspondence that other providers of photo cakes deal with. You can quickly find your way around the Bachmann cake page. The variety of photo editing features on the website allowed me to select, edit and customize the perfect image for my cake. The interface was user-friendly and intuitive, which made the process even more enjoyable. Editing the photo on the Bachmann homepage made it possible to seamlessly integrate the image into the design of the cake. The resolution and color quality of the photo were transmitted brilliantly, and the end result looked as if the image had been printed directly onto the cake. The cake became an impressive eye-catcher at my event and delighted all the guests. The cake itself was a true masterpiece – both in terms of taste and appearance. The taste (chocolate mousse) was simply amazing. The texture was incredible, which made the cake a real treat. Overall, my experience with the Bachmann homepage and the photo cake I ordered was exceptionally positive. The combination of the diverse photo editing functions, the exquisite taste and the flawless visual implementation completely convinced me. Ice cream and chocolate are delicious!

I have nothing but praise for the products of this establishment. Stepping inside is like entering a paradise of gustatory and visual sensations. The products stand out for their incredible quality and freshness, and the variety of choices is genuinely impressive. However, I'd like to address an issue that did not fully satisfy me. The service from the staff could be more friendly and accommodating. It's crucial to approach customers with politeness and patience, something I unfortunately did not fully experience during my visit. Nonetheless, the store is worth preferring due to its wonderful products.

Best place to get chocolate and visit when in the heart of Lucerne. Best place for chocolate, desserts, souvenirs and ice cream. Stumbled upon this place when my best friend and I came to Lucerne for a stop over before our train into the middle of Switzerland. Was looking to try the famous Swiss chocolate! The staff there is very helpful and will speak to you in English if need be. This shop is on a hot spot of within walking distance to all the stores and river bank of Lucerne. So it’s always crowded here with people coming to check it out. Recommendations: Lindt chocolate and any of the artisan chocolate available

Fine things that you are used to from Bachmann, but in a tourist location and therefore a bit overcrowded. It's not a shopping experience, there are other branches to experience that. We don't have our own parking spaces, but we do too, in the city. There are parking garages nearby.

There is an excellent variety of baked goods, and there is coffee, pizza, and pasta Croissant with chocolate is another thing, as is danish with cream There are delicious sandwiches and reasonable prices

We are Spanish and we have had breakfast every day at La Vie, behind our hotel. Excellent pastries and bread but above all excellent treatment from the room staff. Friendly, helpful, informing about the best options. Thank you for such an excellent experience.

Good place to eat well without having to leave your salary and the best thing is, the girls in the interior restaurant speak Spanish, they help you with whatever you need, they also have a little bit of everything to eat from pizzas to pasta and sandwiches, a good place to recharge your batteries and about the chocolate and they marked it, I don't even say anything about all the colors and flavors, and about the wall of chocolate who could put their hands on it or a cake 😅😅

Today, for the fourth time, I received a caffeine-free light bowl that had - if any - at most a few drops of coffee in it. Actually just watery milk. I reported this back to the store a few weeks ago. Still doesn't seem to be working.

Bachmann is a Lucerne-born Swiss chocolate brand with a long history dating back 120 years. There are apparently 8 stores in Lucerne alone. This time I went to the store here on Schwanenplatz. The inside of the store is quite large, and there is a space in the back where you can sit for eat-in. I ordered cake and coffee, but the hot chocolate looked delicious. I regret it a little.

Hopelessly overrun with tourists. The staff is stressed but tries to be friendly. The baked goods are good but I personally don't see a big difference to other bakeries

Visited several times over our 3 days stay. I was able to get a cup of English Breakfast tea here to go with my breakfast pastry. Highly recommend the apple pastry. The round vanilla cream cakes are divine too, as is the red velvet cup cake. I can also recommend the vegetarian cream cheese triangle wrapped in the fridge and the tuna roll. We just done get bakeries like this in UK and Ireland

These miniature macarons were the best! I also tried some of the chocolate truffles which were delicious, but they reached my mouth before I could take a pic 😁.
