Cozy bakery with a wide selection - not just for breakfast. The bakery offers seating in the restaurant and also on the terrace. We had a small breakfast there, which was very good. In addition to baked goods, there are also smoothies and some savory and sweet hot and cold dishes as well as coffee, tea and various cold, including alcoholic, drinks. The service was very friendly and quick.

We made a quick stop for coffee and breakfast snack to go. Service was quick as expected. The Bäcker Hot Dog (pastry wrapped hot dog) tasted good. The Berliner (powdered baked doughnut, this one with jelly inside) was okay, not great, not bad.

Pieces are simply far too expensive. There are other bakeries with normal prices. Too bad😏

The crepes were okay and pricey!

The sauce served with the strudel is really not good, it's sad that they don't even know how to prepare a vanilla sauce. The strudel and blueberry pie were ok. Service not friendly at all.

Really great baked goods. The employees were very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately it's a little tight inside. When the weather is nice, the terrace is recommended.

Had two pastries and two hot chocolates and were happy with our order. The staff were very nice as well.

My favourite cafe ‘ and bakery in town. Stopped here everyday for a lovely cappuccino ( i am Italian and picky about it) and amazing cakes and snack. My afternoon treating place in Zermatt !

It's been a long time since I was so happy with a breakfast! The coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and the schnitzel sandwich were excellent. We were very satisfied, thank you 👍

Lovely roadside seating with a good view of the gornergrat train passing by. Good location off the main street and nearby hotels making it nice and quiet.

Had breakfast there twice and evening desert once while on holiday in zermatt. Nice food and drinks. The only reason for not 5 star is a couple of the staff were abit unfriendly, though most of them were very nice

Food was alright. Pity about the service though. @Bäckerei Bistro Fuchs team It seemed that the staff serving at the counter got upset with us because we were queueing at the counter to order food for dining in. There was a whole line of tourists (us included) that had no clue that we should have just seated ourselves and waited to have our orders taken at the table. She might have just been frustrated with something else, or was just in a hurry, but that was the first time I experienced having our plates almost tossed onto our table.

horrible! we got a cake (genepi), it was too old! as if it was for a week ago or so. extremely sweet. And when we told them, they were so unfriendly and un polite 😒

I don't know if it's very delicious, but there are breads that are friendly and worth eating. I think it’s okay to go.

We stood in line and waited to order and once it was our turn to order they asked us if we would like to take it to go or sit and eat. We asked to stay to eat. They suggested we were making it hard for them and we should just sit down and order afterwards. We sat down and looked around at the customers sitting in the cafe and realized that nobody had food yet, even though it's a bakery where everything is already made. The other customers had already been seated before we stood in line several minutes earlier. We didn't have a lot of time in Zermatt and so we decided to just order to go. We asked if we ordered to go if we could sit down outside to eat our food and were told we were not allowed. We had to stand back in line and wait again. They asked if we wanted our Bromellete warm, and we confirmed we did want it warm, they gave it to us cold, they did not give us a spoon with the 8.70 yogurt that I ordered and acted annoyed when I asked. When given my order total I presented a credit card and they responded with a one word demand, "Cash!" I apologized and offered 20 Francs and they repeated, "Cash!" I waved the cash closer and they took it. When we left we ate cold Bromellete and felt like they were put out to sell us our food. We've had more hospitable starts to our mornings in Switzerland. Choose another spot so you can start your morning right.The food was okay, but the service was less than acceptable.

The food was good, but it gave my husband food poisoning. We got a quiche with eggs and bacon. We immediately ate it, so it didn’t sit out on our end. Not sure what happened, but we’re sure it’s a lovely place otherwise!

Very good tea room a little outside the center. There's plenty of room inside, which is quite nice. Then, the Apple Strudel with custard was really delicious and generously served. I recommend this address.

I've been buying baked goods here for years and coming to drink my cappuccino in the morning. The mountain guide bread is a popular gift, and friends from abroad are always particularly happy about it. We always buy the delicious sandwiches for breaks when we go skiing or hiking. The coffee has several locations in Zermatt, I like to sit on the terrace next to Gornergratbahn and watch the trains. You can also order small meals here.

Lovely sitting area with an outstanding service. Food and coffee was good. My husband order red berries smoothies was very good (forget to take picture) I ordered vanilla ice cream crepes was very nice. Service was excellent.

came here for 3 consecutive days. 1st day bought a beef sandwich, it was good. 2nd day came here for brunch, ordered ham, cheese and tomato crepe, curry coconut soup, sausage pastry, coffee and banana split. liked everything except banana split, ice cream could be better. 3rd day bought a ham sandwich, like it. Staff were friendly.

This place is right right near the train station in downtown Zermatt. Right out the gate, The place had a lot of charm and the service was fantastic. We had lots of laughs with the gal at the front counter while putting in our order. I got the apple streusel which was a mind-blowing experience. I've had apple streusel before in the United States, but obviously it doesn't compare. It was served warm with some kind of a putting-like sauce over the top of it which just knocked it out of the park. I also had a croissant which redefined what a croissant should be in my mind. It was nicely crispy and flaky on the outside, and very soft in the middle. Just the right amount of sweetness and didn't require anything else on it. Now I understand all the hubbub about European pastries.

EXTREMELY overpriced. You can eat a same quality sandwich at coop/migros conveniences stores by 1/3 of the price. Is a trap!

As we couldn't speak their language and their english wasn't good, they had no patience and talk to us very rude instead of trying to help. Food was good but she ruined my appetite

A lovely bakery on the way to the cable car to Sunnegga (locally known as Sunnegga). There is also a bus stop nearby for connections to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. We bought bread and cakes here and had lunch at the top of Rothorn. Chocolate looks delicious too. It would be nice to relax on the terrace seat here on your way home from a hike.

Before our trip to the Sunnegga we bought the finest Valais bread here, which we were kindly allowed to leave until we returned in the afternoon. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, thank you very much.

This Roma tea and bakery is very pretty and well arranged. The bread is good and the pieces are attractive and good. The service is very good but there was a little lack of smiles, perhaps due to stress because I arrived at the opening. To have breakfast or a coffee, this is a good place. There is a lovely terrace to enjoy the sun.

I actually wanted to go to my cafe next to this bakery, but unfortunately this cafe is closed. Nice service, the outside area looks dingy with this carelessly assembled garden furniture, as if you weren't in Zermatt. Espresso was a disappointment, the crepes stuck to the plate. 3 crepes and 4 drinks for 54 CHF. Price/performance 0 points. I still don't understand the concept, if there is one.

After seeing the Matterhorn, we enjoyed delicious coffee and cake. Highly recommended, also outside on the terrace. After this, I regained the energy to continue walking in the area. Friendly staff who gave us some tips to further explore the area.

No price announcement in accordance with federal law (UWG; SR 241) and Price Disclosure Ordinance (PBV; SR 942.211). I had to ask the price for each pastry individually. The justification was with takeaway and on-site prices - all other bakeries write two prices on the sign Fox nothing. This is somewhat disturbing. Quality ok.

I asked what the “V” on the signs stood for and the employee said the baked goods were vegan. I was very happy about that. The next day I went again and discovered by chance that vegan has a different label and the V stands for vegetarian. An employee was able to confirm this. The taste was good, but I would recommend that the bakery have a clearly visible legend so that you are not dependent on the employees for labeling.

What's that supposed to mean?!? Birds (sparrows) fly around the shop, sit on the bread, sweet pastries in the display and peck at the pastries. Cleaning their beaks on the bread rack. The saleswoman comes and shoos them away. As soon as they leave, these critters fly back through the open door and carry on. In other cantons, the bakery would be closed immediately because of the communicable diseases caused by birds (mites, ornithosis, etc.). Here you rub your hand over the bread and the product is clean and you sell it. Revise your hygiene concept as quickly as possible! Then furthermore, soup in bread was ordered (goulash soup). The soup was warmed to the level of canned soup. The bread in which the soup was served had seen the oven two days ago. So freshness is different. I can't recommend this branch this time. Keep running if you want to stay healthy.

Great little spot open all day for a snack/light meal. It was one of the only spots open when we first arrived in Zermatt and many were closed until dinner hours. Warm comforting soup bread bowls, quiches, and cakes. You can also get the food to go.

Bahnhofstrasse in the small town of Zermatt is a street that tourists must visit. In addition to being full of Swiss style, the windows of the Bäckerei Fuchs Zermatt store on the street are even more eye-catching. There are all kinds of breads and desserts in the windows. , salty and sweet pies, cookies, etc., my feet suddenly felt a little weak, and I walked in unconsciously! The service is very friendly, you can't fault it. In my opinion the price ratio is not right at all. 12 francs for a coup Denmark (3 small scoops of ice cream with cream, two small rolled waffles and chocolate sauce, which was most likely mixed with water, was very watery, no decoration) Meringue with cream Vanilla ice cream and strawberry ice cream: Meringue was very rubbery and the ice cream had Crystals. It's a shame because after a long hike we wanted a good portion of ice cream. But we'd love to come back to see if anything has changed in a positive way. There is nothing wrong with the ambience and cleanliness.
