Even though it was already 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and the shop would have been closed, we were still served! The Berliner was also great!

If unfriendliness has a name, it is 100% the staff at the Bode bakery and pastry shop in Uitikon. Shortly before closing time we wanted to buy a few sandwiches. We were already shouted at because we were closed. My watch showed 12:54 p.m. according to the information on the door it is closed from 1:00 p.m. Actually, I wouldn't even give it 1 star. Thank you never again.

Delicious sweets with coffee or lunch in a cool ambience

When the bakeries in Zurich are closed again on Sunday, I like to come here. Not far from Altstetten by car.

Always found, bought and enjoyed great bread and delicious sandwiches. I'm always happy to come back.

The items I purchased were delicious. However as a visitor from England I was absolutely astonished at the amount of packaging around everything.

We were there for the first time and will definitely come back. Nice service and delicious selection 👍🏻.

We ordered a Swedish cake for a football birthday party. We got a Swedish cake with a rose and leaves on it. Since my husband didn't know that I had specifically ordered a green cake, no goodwill was shown when I got in touch 15 minutes later. Some legal statements were argued. Absolutely not solution-oriented (we didn't want to clarify the problem until after the weekend, because then the employee who took the order would be back. Doesn't help if you need the cake on Saturday...) and unfriendly. It's a shame - we were good customers and shopped from them several times a week. But unfortunately not like that again...

So far so good… Summit grade 4.5, Latte Macciato grade 4.0, Cappuccino grade 3.5. Coffee is just not fine, stale taste, watery... a shame ☹️

By far the best roasted beef sandwiches!!! The service was always very friendly - unfortunately I have moved and am no longer there often. But definitely recommended.

One star because zero is not possible. I purchased a personalized birthday cake. So I went into the store and was shown the catalogue. So far everything is fine. Upon collection, the cake was delivered to me in a carton without any upper protection. The only thing I was given was a sheet of paper which got stuck on top of the cake decoration and ruined it!!! Delicious cake but decorations completely ruined!!! It could have been solved by providing me, the customer, with cardboard that would protect the cake at 360 degrees!!! The joke comes later!!! I write an e-mail to ask for explanations and to warn them of what happened. Email that has not yet received a response. I would have expected an email of apology, of understanding, even of justification! But never silence. So after this catastrophic experience I will never go to one of their stores again.

The raspberry slice was very good.

I lived in Uitikon for two years without knowing that the best nut peaks in the lowlands are here. Popped in 100 times, ordered the wrong thing 100 times. I hope this post helps others not to miss out on life.

The cake in the shape of a toilet roll. It was totally greasy. You feel like you're eating butter. Bad overall. Also in taste. Not to try!

Good, close and always nice service

When it comes to the bakery, I have to say that some of the products are very good, but some of the bread and croissants are certainly fresher at the gas station. I have to say that the staff in Uitikon are sometimes very arrogant. But this has certainly rubbed off on the customers. Customers would prefer to come by three times a day, each time to show them what kind of prestigious car they can afford.

Good but unfriendly and way too expensive... seems stingy. For what you get it is really very expensive!

Mega Feini sandwich and bread,... but, do not accept card payments under 20.-. 21st century? It's a shame, that's why I rarely shop there, I just don't want coins.

I'm actually a regular guest. But dealing with cards is very difficult. I couldn't pay 9.80 with a card. And this at a time when competitors are paying small amounts electronically.

Wonderful bread, especially very crispy croissants with lots of butter. The Bodebäckerei knows its craft. Bode Uitikon is also open on Sundays. I like 👍

I often go to the Bode bakery. Some of the sweets are great (snail - the best I know, Tyrolean cake, chocolate cake, etc). I love St. Gallen bread. But I don't buy the Weggli here anymore. Some of them are dry and so airy that you don't get the impression that butter was used. The boss can be very moody, especially towards female customers. Some of them are served very snippily. I have experienced live several times what even bothered me as a man. I also once observed how bread was handed out with bare hands and then put back again when the customer changed his mind. Hygiene should be given higher priority.

It is a pleasure to shop here. Very good products (e.g. cream slices) and very nice service. Lovely again. This is in contrast to the branch in Stallikon. I was there again just today (March 18, 2019). I wasn't greeted, the staff talked among themselves, there was no eye contact.

A Klaus bag, the contents of which unfortunately cannot be seen, turned out to be the cheapest mass-produced product when unpacked (mostly peanuts, cheap chocolates and sweets). I had to be embarrassed when giving gifts! For just under Fr. 20.00 I would have expected something special. That's why I came to you and didn't go to the co-op next door!

Delicious, right in the heart of Uitikon, a place to sit, but it is intended either to read there or to chat with the neighbor. Otherwise, the neighbor will inevitably overhear. Definitely not a bad choice for a coffee on Sunday.

Ask about the egg croissants. They are sensationally delicious and are made especially with love upon request. Danger! the boss is usually irritable. (in 2 out of 3 encounters) It is therefore advisable to keep a certain distance when ordering.

Excellent croissants and a large selection of breads, patisserie, pastries, sandwiches and cannapés. All of this at very moderate prices. You can also have an excellent breakfast here. I usually come here on weekends to either have breakfast or buy bread. Actually I shouldn't write it here - otherwise the prices will go up ;-) but you can't have breakfast this good, nice and cheap anywhere else. When it comes to breads, in addition to the croissants already mentioned, I especially recommend the root breads, which are available in white, fragrant or fragrant with grains. When it comes to pastries, you should try the almond bar made from puff pastry. The cannapés are all very rich and cheap for this size. I don't have a favorite when it comes to patisserie, just try it out.

The staff is very unfriendly, irritable and impatient. Respond to questions unprofessionally. It was like that every time I wanted to buy something in this branch. I won't shop there again, even though the baked goods are good.

The very last! Whether at gas stations, in kiosks, in supermarkets - Maestro/EC card payments are accepted everywhere in Switzerland these days with no(!) minimum spend. But at the Bode bakery they are too arrogant for that and demand a minimum purchase of CHF 20 when buying breakfast. Unfortunately today I only got CHF 15.80 and was then sent away cold as ice with my Maestro card. Something like this is not only unacceptable from the customer's perspective, it is also economically nonsense. Because it was certainly only a losing deal for Bode because it was rejected. Think about it!
