Bakery Schwyter in St. Gallen

I ONLY shop in this branch at the train station and if possible only when Vilbona (don't know the name exactly) serves me. She is very, very friendly and always has a smile at work. Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience at the store in town, very unfriendly service!

The products are wonderful but the saleswoman (blond hair and very, very slim) is underground!!!! I haven't been treated so badly in a really long time. At first I thought ok, maybe she's having a bad day. But after about 3 months now I find it really unbearable. Unfortunately, with employees like these who present your company to the outside world, you are shooting yourself in the foot. I will avoid this branch in the future.

I come by your place 3-4 times a week and buy a little something. This morning, however, the employee took the liberty of not giving me change because she couldn't add it up correctly🙄 I kindly pointed out to her that I was waiting for my change and she said that I gave it correctly😤😡 Such impudence, unfriendliness and giving me as a paying customer the feeling that I am a "liar" is not really customer-oriented. I have never witnessed anything like this. I will buy my rolls somewhere else in the future.

I really enjoy going to get my coffee from Schwyter. A big compliment to Ms. Valbone, she is soooo friendly and always has a warm, warm smile on her face. You should have employees like that everywhere☺️

I like to go to Schwyter. The staff is simply fantastic. I would advise the company to be closed on Sundays. 6 days are enough and they are open until 9 o'clock in the evening. We are in 2023, you could ask for a bit of a better quality of life. I think this is exploitation of employees.

Very unfriendly lady, never go there again. I asked for a lid for the café to go and was rudely turned away. The family who bought at least 8 products before me was handed a bag upon request with a wanted to run away.

Watch out, old roast beef sandwich! Salad was brown and meat was completely dried out and had gone bad on the sides. Schwyter is no longer what he used to be. Pity!

Quality products but unfortunately the staff is unfriendly and in bad faith which gives a very, very bad image of the city as French. Really the downside of Switzerland, zero smiles, always being angry even in the morning, come to France damn it, you will see what friendliness and kindness are! Price-wise, we are in Switzerland, it is very expensive for us French but reasonable for Switzerland.

Buy today's bread tomorrow! Only go there if there really is no alternative. If I receive dry rolls at 7.30 (the pretzel plait is definitely not fresh from today!), something in the organization doesn't seem to be working. I have nothing against bread from the day before, but it has to be communicated that way, asking for the full price is cheeky. It wasn't the first time like that. And no matter whether it's a weekend or a Tuesday morning, there doesn't seem to be anything fresh there. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Friendly staff and above all quite snappy. I like to go by there when I have to get on the train. The Berliners and donuts are amazing!

Very unfriendly staff. I bought 10 croissants and instead of saying thank you, people make fun of you. At the same time, I wonder whether the management wants it that way or whether the employees are given too much freedom.

Very convenient - but slow service. In the morning there is sometimes a long queue. Until about six months ago, a lady worked here who processed 20 customers at the same time and even knew the orders of the morning “regular customers” by heart. THAT was a top service. Where has she gone?

Unfortunately the prices are a bit high. In my opinion, over 3 CHF for a small roll (not topped) is rather (too) much. Another point of criticism is the motivation and friendliness of the employees there. Unfortunately, they don't radiate motivation at all and have a 'shitty' facial expression that you don't necessarily want to see first thing in the morning. :) But the quality of the baked goods is good.

I ordered a hot chocolate to go... The milk was nice and hot, but there was far too little chocolate powder and wasn't mixed properly. It's a shame, I'm a bit disappointed - I expected something different for 4.10fr.

Very nice egg lye braids, but unfortunately all the other sandwiches are with meat. They didn't even have a cheese sandwich to choose from. That's not possible in my opinion. Edit: improved by one star because vegan sandwiches are now actually offered, which are also very tasty. I just don't understand how they can be more expensive than meat.

Delicious, fresh baked goods! Coffee doesn't taste like anything, but there's simply no good coffee anywhere near the train station in SG (except maybe Starbucks). Still one of the best bakeries, and interestingly also one of the cheaper ones.

Unfortunately, the Berliner we got here was bone dry after just one day and unfortunately no longer edible, not even with a cup of milk. It's a shame, that really shouldn't be the case.
