Lovely food, tender, and fresh taste, it can get a little busy so do reserve.

The Thai ladies are friendly. The older lady at the desk is not very friendly and does not act as a host as you expect. She did not give a welcome feeling. Food was ok but not special at all, there are better Thai places in Zurich and also much cheaper like LaLup

The best Thai in Zürich, the food is delicious, the service is very nice and the location is perfect. Everytime I have visit from my country, I bring them here and they loved it.

There we were, hungry as ever, 2 minutes away from Ban Song Thai. It was a spontaneous decision. As you step into the restaurant, you’re greeted with a big smile and a lovely atmosphere. The service is impressive and the food is drool-worthy! We always try the coconut soup if it’s in the menu, it was, so we ordered it. Yum! Everyone we tried was delicious. 5 Stars

I like eating there because it's delicious, because you have peace and quiet to eat alone and the service is quick.

No vegan buffet options for lunch - a la carte waiting around 30‘

Small, busy restaurant, offers a very affordable buffet by weight with a limited choice, to eat in or take away.

Food is good, quite traditional Thai (I visited with a Thai friend that confirmed this). At lunch time on weekdays they offer a buffet and you can choose from all the dishes available. You pay per weight (about 23 chf for a full plate) or unlimited (ca. 32 chf)

Excellent meal - some of the tastiest Thai food I’ve had outside Thailand and - particularly by Zürich standards - at a very reasonable price. The service was really excellent and super friendly. For sure we’ll be back.

Friendly and familiar Thai restaurant. Pleasant and attentive service, the food is fresh and tasty.

Used to be a great Thai guy with super attentive staff. Unfortunately, this is untrained and speaks poor German. The food was very authentic, creamy, spicy curry, a good portion. Now it was lukewarm and there was little sauce and the taste was bland. What has increased is the price. What a shame!

Great place for a relaxed and casual dinner. Go for the restaurant’s weekly or seasonal recommendations. We did and the curry was one of the best ever. Friendly and attentive service.

In my opinion one of the best Thai restaurants in Zurich. At lunch there is a large all-you-can-eat buffet. The food was very tasty and authentic.

Have eaten at this restaurant a few times. I can absolutely recommend it. They cook without glutamate, use organic meat, etc.

The woman in the counter who is on duty today is very rude. I respectfully asked if she could try again to swipe my card because it did not push thru the first time due to my local bank in PH is requiring for a PIN, but it seems she did not welcome the idea of doing it again for me. She took the card machine and rudely did it in front of me. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The food was amazing but the service is not of a Michelin Star.

Highly recommend if you want your day ruined by the amazingly rude staff Food was slightly better than the average Thai chains in Zürich, so I give it 2 stars. Everything else went downhill from there. We were just in the mood to snack, so ordered one dish to share. But the greedy Swiss waiter yelled at us about ordering too little AFTER I paid the bill. Very smart, because I would’ve walked away if he showed his true colors right when we sat down.

New owner, but still the best and most original thai in town !! Top Papaya salad and an marvelous red curry. Absolutely reccomended.

Top restaurant in Zurich's old town for all friends of good taste. As an experienced Thailand traveler, the cuisine is very authentic and of excellent quality. The restaurant has many regular customers and welcomes new guests every day. A buffet is offered at lunchtime and an à la carte service in the evening. Portions are more than sufficient and there is something for every taste. The staff is always friendly and very attentive, I always feel very welcome here. Many thanks to the whole team

Extremely rude elderly lady. Think she is the owner. I came there with my elderly parents and they were waiting for the food to provided - take away (75 euros) and my parents were waiting at these empty tables.. tired ..She kept telling them to get up. Unbelievable!! Where is the decency and basic courtesy. I told her they will get away once someone arrives. I don’t bout the food .. but basic humanity is basic..

Really beautiful food , so delicious. Our young waitress was amazing and did such a fantastic job accommodating us and making sure we were taken care of( I regret not getting her name but she was the youngest women working there). The manager seemed awful! Treated her staff with such disrespect and made the atmosphere so uncomfortable! She gave out to our waitress in front of costumers and made the whole experience uncomfortable . My heart goes out to her staff.

Very tasty Thai food. Possibility to eat inside, on the alley or for take away. Employees are friendly and quick. I had the Pad Thai with chicken and it was really excellent (meat fresh, tender and tasty).

Food would be good, service miserable!!! The three of us were moved from a table for four to a table for two, which was blowing the kitchen ventilation under the table into our faces. There were 2 people sitting at “our” table for 4 people. Service staff had no understanding for the criticism! Won't go there anymore

Extremely pathetic restaurant and bad customer service. Very pricey. Food taste was average and quantity was extremely less. They overcharged me and I am glad I went over the bill. They charged me for the tap water and they didn’t even inform me beforehand, very shady tactics.

Food is expensive but extremely good. The Thai servers were super nice, but the other lady wasn’t very nice to us. If it wasn’t for her, we would come back, but she was rude about us having a water bottle and also sitting at a specific table even though it was empty. The Tom gha and pad Thai were amazing. Keep in mind each dish is $25-30 so it’s a lot.

We had an enjoyable meal of pad thai and vegetarian spring rolls. The dishes and drinks were well presented and looked appetizing. The taste is authentically Asian. We were seated alfresco at the side of the road, but it was ok since we did not have any booking.

The best Thai restaurant in Zurich. The proprietress and staff are also from Thailand. This is a valuable restaurant in a city where Asian cuisine is extremely rare. It's an authentic Thai taste, and you'll feel nostalgic like you've been to Thailand. Served with Swiss rosé wine.

The Thai restaurant's food is beautifully decorated and very fine. The service staff is very attentive, but I don't think it's a good thing if you make a special reservation and then have to leave at 8 p.m. because of new customers. Otherwise I can only recommend it.R.R

I went to Ban Song Thai for a buffet lunch. Great selection, there is something for everyone. Was positively impressed by the vegetarian dish. And the coconut soup was really good. As has already been mentioned several times, the staff is very friendly. I will definitely come back *****

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Ban Song Thai and I was very impressed with the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. As for the food, I really loved the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail put into each dish. The dishes were rich in flavors and spices. Overall, I would recommend Ban Song Thai to anyone looking for authentic Thai cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere. A great choice for a relaxing evening with friends or family. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Good self-service restaurant for lunch. You choose from 3 main courses yourself and then pay according to the weight of the goods you have prepared. Unfortunately, 2 out of 3 dishes are marked “spicy”. If you're not a fan of spicy things, there isn't much to choose from.

The Ban Song Thai is a small Asian restaurant that offers a small but delicious buffet at lunchtime. The service and ambience are just okay, but the food from the buffet is delicious and the big advantage of the buffet, which is charged by weight: I only pay for what I want! ...and therefore, always happy!

Super delicious food, good and suitable wine selection, very cozy restaurant with friendly service, centrally located in Niederdöfrli. Starters, main courses and desserts tasted authentic and everything was fresh. OK, the portions are typically small in Zurich, meaning you definitely need three courses to fill you up. But since all three taste good, that's okay. again any time !

Small Thai restaurant in Niederdorf. Delicious food and fair prices. We have been here several times and are generally satisfied, but unfortunately we were disappointed on our last visit. We ate dinner relatively late and were not informed about a final round. Instead of informing us about the opening times early on, the chairs were already put up and we were literally thrown out. Very unfortunate!

Really good food and they are informed about dietary restrictions. I can almost always find something glutenfree in there and they prices are very fair. They have a buffet for lunch. Recommended!

Unfriendly service at the counter, mediocre food. (Coconut soup tasted mainly of the basic ingredient in its unprocessed state: coconut milk, lukewarm). Price/performance excessive for smaller appetites. Attention: There is a minimum consumption amount, which you will only be informed about when the invoice is issued.

For me it's still one of the best Thai restaurants in Zurich! There are always seasonal specialties that provide a bit of variety and you can never go wrong with the curries.

We went all the way to this place at 1:45 But they already closed It’s written that they will close by 2 But I think they start to close by 1:30 itself .

We had an absolutely outstanding dinner here, the owner managed to fit us in even though we hadn't booked, and it was very busy by 6.30pm. Best Phad Thai I've probably had in Europe. My partner's Thai Green Curry was also very tasty. Friendly efficient service, and great food, so will definitely return when back in Zurich!

Our favorite Thai for many years. Unfortunately, the curries no longer taste the same as they used to - the last time I ordered a medium hot green curry, they simply added more chilies (my companion ordered a milder (1 chili) green curry, so I could compare) and I was told That's normal (also in Thailand). I've never had it in this restaurant before, nor in any other Thai restaurant and never in Thailand, where I've been on holiday many times. It's a shame - that's why only 4 stars, otherwise the Ban Song Thai is still super fine.

The duck green curry is definitely the best green curry in zurich. The sauce is thick, the flavor is bold, delicious! I also ordered tom yum kung and stir fry beef basil. Super nice! Well done

Virtually no vegetables on the lunch buffet. We were also rather shocked as they rounded up the price for every plate to 15 Bucks even though the scale showed 6.70, then added the soup and drink prices and totalled everything to amount much above the minimum of 15 per person. All without hesitation, compensation, or a word of excuse. Just happily charged us for what we did not have... Never seen anything like this before...

I'm sorry 😞 but was very expensive for ehat I get 25 CH for a dish of rice with chicken Thailand costs 1CH 24 times more it's absolutely unfair price..better go to the Chinese restaurant a get big dihs eith fair price of 17CH but huge delicious plate of rice if u like Asian food I will not choose this restaurant...sorry..
