Pleasant smell of coffee upon entering the room, bright atmosphere. The Moka roasted coffee is excellent.

Not tourist friendly and lack of hygiene ISSUE 1: Despite being located in the centre of Old Town, they do not speak english at all so as a tourist it was hard to communicate with them. Not recommended for tourists. ISSUE 2: At the counter area I ordered a sandwich. The lady (whom I assume is the owner) picked it up with a tong then accidentally dropped the sandwich on the countertop (same area which they accept payment ie cash). The lady USED HER OWN HAND to pick up the sandwich without even offering getting another one for me. She had a tong on one hand and still did not bother to use the tong to pick it up. In addition, she did not even offer a plate for my sandwich, not sure how she would expect me to take a sandwich to dine in (that is not wrapped or anything) without any plate. I had to REQUEST a plate which she eventually gave, but she gave me a plate which was smaller than the size of the sandwich. What in the world!! Due to my french level I could not communicate this discontent to her at the time however I would expect HYGIENE from a food safety standard and a plate for food at any restaurant/coffee shop. Coffee was ok, sandwich was basic, would not come back and would not recommend given hygiene concerns.

I really like this bar with its warm atmosphere.

It is a calm setting in which you can sit down to study, read and work. We are welcomed there and the teas are artisanal like the coffee.

Looked like a nice place with nice coffee but didn’t get to order after sitting for a while and asking if we can order. Was told that “someone will come by the table” but ended up waiting forever until we left. 4 employees were constantly looking at the register trying to figure something out while clients are waiting…

A pleasant place to have breakfast

I like to have coffee there which is wonderfully good. They serve their own coffee. This establishment is one of the oldest in Neuchâtel.

Very well located, opposite the town hall. Very popular, obviously a popular meeting place to discuss. We are close to the other customers, it is difficult to miss their discussions. I didn't taste the coffee, I had a chocolate (powder sachet).

Very well received, very good service where it is easy to leave a tip for my part, plus in good weather, the terrace is very pleasant. And 5 crosses thanks to the kindness and service of the sommeliers.

Came here on the recommendation of a friend. I ask the seller for advice. So far, so good. I then ask for a taste, impossible... On the other hand, you can pay for your espresso! Very well I pay. 3.60.- except that I don't like it at all. I ask for another more "full-bodied" one and once again it's IMPOSSIBLE even if I pay... I explain that I'm not going to pay for a whole packet of 250g or 500g without having tasted it. Well, no, I can't. Either, I decide to pay and leave, and there MANDATORY cash payment... frankly I don't understand...(Covid) Time left in the café ==>2min30 top time And then, are we talking about it in the haughty tone of the saleswoman? Coffee lovers, run away my friends, run away!

You will find a wide range of coffee, such as Italiano, Moka, the house coffee as well as its decaffeinated. This coffee is an excellent Italian family business, it is roasted in Chaux-de-Fonds. It is of very high quality and will delight your taste buds, no longer buy coffee in supermarkets or industrial stores, buy Au Moka coffee in Neuchâtel. Greate place to drink a good coffee accompagne by a croissant or have a nice croque monsieur

The coffee is bad (crazy for coffee pros), expensive, you have to pay for children's syrup (uncommon in other bars) and you can't pay by card. All these reasons lead me to no longer set foot in this place.

The mocha is a truly traditional bar for drinking good coffee. The roasting is done by the owner, something you don't see anymore, I recommend.

Always a pleasure for teas and coffees. .. the cupcakes are also very good. Small sandwiches, not numerous or plentiful I liked the change of decor which was in an old style much more. Renovating and decorating modernly took away the intimacy and the “cozy” impression.
