I didn't like his face either, but I still answered properly. ______________________________________________________________ I had the "pleasure" of visiting your club and I must say it was truly a unique experience. The staff seemed more interested in exchanging insults than serving drinks. Mayhem? Well, that was probably the special of the evening. Your definition of entertainment is probably very different from mine. In the future I'll save the money and the bad vibes and party somewhere else.

Pls go to the toilet, you’ll be amazed by the views while ‘u know’… :)… the cocktails are fresh and beautifully presented, the staff is kind and very professional… just make sure to book a table in advance, and the experience will be perfect…

The view from the 30th and 31st floors is impressive. The service staff and the security team are very friendly and professional. I have read the negative reviews regarding the security and cannot agree because I have only had positive experiences so far. I was at Bar Rouge last night and unfortunately had a bad experience for the first time with a guest who was very pushy the whole evening. I told one of the security guys this. Since the guest ended up getting far too close to me, security reacted very quickly. Yesterday I thanked Semko or Stanko (I don't remember his name) from security for his commitment and help. I am glad that quick action is taken in such situations. Thanks to the security team for keeping you safe.

The birthday packages are a joke. Extremely overpriced. You can save the money. 12 people are registered and what do we get a lounge for 4 people. Just a joke.

A fantastic place with breathtaking views. The cocktails are awesome. Super friendly staff, from the entrance, checkout, to security and waiters (which surprised me because of some negative reviews. I had completely wrong expectations and went to the bar with prejudices, now I have to admit, I'm glad I visited the bar and I can't agree with the negative comments, my experience was the absolute opposite, everything was PERFECT.

Great place to be! Friendly staff, especially the ladies at the cloakroom and at the entrance as well as security staff are always friendly and competent despite difficult situations/guests. Top ambitious 👍🏽 keep it up!!!

Celebrated my 30th with you. If I had known what I would receive from you for 600 Stutz, I would never have agreed to it. Apart from the view, I was disappointed by the rest and especially your musical performances. Other rooftops can do much better... ^^

Without question, the view is of course amazing. Truly impressive both day and night. Unfortunately, that was all the positive things I can say. The service was very expandable. I've never had to wait 20 minutes for two mojitos. Everything took forever. Some of the furniture seemed quite worn and there was a musty smell where we were sitting. The toilets were incredibly dirty and the space itself was very cramped. The music didn't suit my taste at all and the tonic water that was served to me with my gin tasted very strange. I expected more and was unfortunately disappointed.

New - February 7th, 2024: Please stop always responding with your standard answers. Before you accuse and insult others, consider whether the fault might not be yours. Instead of just concentrating on cashing in and ripping off money, you should care more about your guests. But it seems you don't plan to change anything. And stop insulting and hurting guests just because they have a different skin color or are foreigners. Unfortunately I have to share my disappointment with my recent experience at the Barrouge Club. Not only did the bald man indulge in insulting remarks, but there was also an unfortunate incident of physical assault. The atmosphere was anything but pleasant and I am shocked at the unacceptable behavior on the part of this employee. Such incidents should not be tolerated in an established club. I hope that management takes appropriate steps to prevent such incidents and ensure the safety and respect of guests.

As a tourist in Basel I visited yours club. Primarily I want to praise club, beautiful ambience, great staff,excellent cocktails and a view. Also everything praise for security which is very professional -inspires confidence.

Beautiful view of the city, even from the WC! Very nice assortment of gins. In the immediate vicinity of the convention center and open until 2 a.m. on weekdays.

Bar, view, DJ, cocktails, ambience and the very committed, very friendly staff in service and at the bar: Five stars. I would love to come back there! Unfortunately, I was an involuntary witness to the incident mentioned below - as an almost bystander - and no one was warned or danced in the case. When we asked objective questions (I'm German), we were also insulted, although we weren't thrown out (but we left afterwards). Very ugly, aggressive and scary behavior from the bouncers/security. I hope something changes in the future!

Good place, great view. Unfortunately, the entrance is a bit difficult to find. We had to place the order twice because it was forgotten the first time.

We had cocktails in this impressive place on the 31st floor, on top of Basel! The virgin cocktails were acceptable, but the view, atmosphere and mostly the view from the bathroom made the place a Must visit when in Basel!

The service, the drinks, the DJ and the view were super cool and the DJ played exactly my favorite music. Unfortunately I will never go to this bar again as the security/bouncers are rude, disrespectful, rude and aggressive and ruined our evening. I'm outraged at how people are treated here just because they don't like their faces.

If you're interested in: If you have racist and aggressive behavior from the bouncers, especially towards a dark-skinned colleague, then you have come to the right place in the Bar Rouge. Once and never again!

I was there on Thursday January 18th. with work colleagues there during Swissbau 2024. We arrived at around 8:30 p.m. Since all tables were reserved, the service tried to give us a table anyway! A little later the DJ arrived - really good music from the 70s/80s, well mixed. The mood among the other guests was good and we were pretty much the first ones on the dance floor :-). The bar and the dance floor were very full around 11 p.m. I got on the seat and danced - shortly afterwards security came and asked me to get down, which I did immediately. At around 11:30 p.m. I noticed that my work colleague was further ahead and several people were looking for something on the floor. At around 12:45 p.m. I saw two work colleagues being taken away by force! Completely calmly, I followed the security and my work colleagues to the elevator and got in with them. I saw my work colleague being taken away by the police and calmly asked the security (with a black beard) several times what had happened - he said threatening me that I shouldn't ask any more questions.... Then we got downstairs and my two work colleagues were then forcibly thrown out the door. My remaining colleagues and I then left the club. It later turned out that my work colleague made a video and was taken away by the police without any verbal request or information. The cell phone fell to the ground and he couldn't find it anymore. My work colleague just wanted to "protect" him and was also taken away. I have never experienced such violence, it is incomprehensible and unacceptable that guests should be treated in this violent way without verbal request. My colleagues had pain and marks on their arms!

If someone wants to be thrown out of an after-work party with blue-purple spots on their arm and crying in pain, then I definitely recommend Bar Rouge in Basel. You rarely see such racist, aggressive bouncers. Mentally they are still in a war zone and they have to exercise their “power” somewhere. But I would prefer if they hadn't practiced with me - I'm a woman and weigh 55 kg... Incident: we were exhibitors at Swissbau – we were decent, not drunk, we wanted to have a bit of fun. Our colleague, a dark-skinned man, was unexpectedly pulled to the floor by the bouncers (also foreigners) - without warning, without a word, and insulted him as a foreigner etc. - no matter how many times he tried to ask them what he was doing became more and more aggressive. Since he also lost his cell phone, I tried to help him look for it - and as a woman, I stood between the bouncers and him. Talking or asking what her problem was was impossible. I have never experienced such hatred in my 42 years, I was pushed out like a criminal, pushed through the crowd (there were my customers and also exhibitors), and then thrown out the emergency exit, like in a nightmare, like in a fake movie – I was treated like a felon. If I hadn't stood between my work colleagues and these guys, they would have probably beaten him even more without witnesses. It's very sad that something like this is allowed to happen.

We went there but there weren't any tables left so they opened up the floor below, which had way fewer vibes. The food was way too much and very salty. The guacamole chips we ordered were mostly crushed to bits, so we couldn't even eat them properly. In order to hide it, they put a few intact chips on top. We had 3 times as many olives as we needed: it was a full bowl of Olives. We are asking ourselfs what will happen to the olives we didn’t eat, will they be sent to the next table? The same applies to the fries. We did say that to the staff but they refused to give us even the slightest discount. The only good things were the view and the drinks with way too much ice in them.

The Bar Rouge is always worth a visit and has been for years.

Great place with a view of Basel

Outside of a nice view from above, there isn't much else, music system quality like cell phone speakers. Prices too high, interior, hm, could be much nicer, touristic sight value for sure and that's it

Salsa - bachata evening: almost no salsa, bad DJ Francisco music too loud, poor quality, no bass, no dancers and all that for 10CHF, it's really not worth it. Comforting response from the establishment (good after-sales service): + 2⭐

The bar is very nice and has a super good view, but the staff can be annoying when there are plenty of reservations for other people after you.

The place is cute but the waiters are really slow and don’t know how to serve a proper cocktail, I took a sex on the beach (vanille) and it was only water and juice for 17chf. I told the waiter who didn’t do anything. Really bad service I don’t recommend this place at all.

The securities are very rude and unfriendly, so as the cashier. I've never experienced such rude maners in Switzerland. It feels like they are a gang waiting for someone to attack. The top view is nice and decent music, apart from the unprofessional reception you're likely to experience at the entrance.

Tamara served very attentively. Every 15min. Shotrundi lets her hold everything. Bouncer at the top of the club not friendly at all. Don't understand German. Bouncer in front of the door was great. Friendly and helpful.

Spectacular place in general. Good cocktail menu. Visiting the baths is an unforgettable experience.

If you pay 20 francs for entry and then two francs for the cloakroom, you'd better put a tip box there for entry. You could have at least one small free drink. I would leave the 20 francs at the bar and consume a little more, but still have a wonderful view Mood

The place itself would definitely be very cool. However, when we were there (Saturday night around 1 - 4 a.m.), we had to stand in the cold for 30 minutes, then another 15 minutes until we got to the top. It was super loud, dirty and cramped there. I don't know if the toilets will ever be stocked with paper and soap. I've heard from colleagues that it was better on other occasions. However, I don't have to go back any time soon.

Place for coffe with panorama over Basel, if that not enough then stay longer and join night club . Litlee expense but worth

There are no words strong enough to express how delighted I am to have been there and to see that there are still places that play real music! I really missed being able to hear Michael Jackson, Queen, Elvis, Shakira, Rihanna, Katy Perry and so on in the evening. Thank you for this evening, the young girls who took care of us were adorable. I really had a great time, it was perfect.

The view of the city of Basel and the surrounding area is impressive, it's worth a visit for this view! If the toilets weren't in such disrepair, they would definitely be the main attraction! The bar selection is acceptable and the drinks are fine. Unfortunately, the interior design of the bar gives a cheap and worn-out impression. At least the employees are friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the bouncers; they seem unprofessional and seem to be playing strange games with the guests. That was quite embarrassing and unpleasant to watch. I would only recommend Bar Rouge before 10pm due to its regular clientele. Other places in Basel may have better service, a more pleasant atmosphere and higher quality drinks.

Unprofessional cloakroom staff (bearded men). With a small number of guests (bar was more than half empty) we were unable to hand out the correct jacket. Number lost. Despite precise description & view!!! The jacket caused a huge fuss when it was returned.

A place with a very beautiful view. At the same time, it has a pleasant atmosphere because it has a different concept every week. Especially since it is two-storey, they offer different music concepts on the lower floor and different music concepts on the upper floor, so you can move to the section you want according to your mood. Their cocktails are amazing. I definitely recommend it. :)

made a reservation for a Saturday table for a birthday party for 8 people. Sue called and made a reservation through Amon. We received a response to pay the high price. My request was for the 31st floor. which we have told since booking Because the bottom floor of the bar uncomfortable and inconvenient But we were given seats on the ground floor. Which we are very dissatisfied with, feel bad and the conversation is not as good as Servid's should be. and the chaos of the people who come to visit Bring sweaters to put on our seats and their bags. I feel very depressed.

The organization/planning by the event manager, Kan Pruksa, went smoothly. When it came to renting out the lounge, she responded to all of our requests. Everything went well during the evening too. Kan responded to all of our requests, as did Vanessa, who was responsible for the drinks/bottles for us. Thanks to the entire Bar Rouge team! It was a very successful Halloween party!

Well done, friendly staff, great view of Basel, unfortunately you have to take your time until you get a drink although there are actually enough staff there, a little more attentiveness would be advisable.

Today we were in the Bar Rouge as a group (12 people) and had a gin seminar with bar manager Hakan. The guy is great, as a bartender with 30 years of professional experience he has the necessary expertise and is always ready with a little story. The view over the entire city tops off the experience. I can really only recommend it!

This bar/club not only offers breathtaking views of the city, but also great drinks and great pizza! A perfect place to enjoy the evening.

Service a little long, but the view is breathtaking. The cocktails are also quite expensive (16 to 21 Swiss francs/cocktail) I recommend going to see the view and the cocktails are very very good! 😃

I had an online reservation that gave me tel. and confirmed by email. That day my friends and I stood in front of the closed door. Nobody worked there and I wasn't canceled in any way. The next working day, when I inquired, I was told that GL had spontaneously decided not to open, they couldn't give me a reason and why it hadn't been cancelled, as well. As a small "compensation" they send me a voucher that hasn't arrived yet. Totally a no go! Unprofessional behavior!

Magnificent place with a beautiful view of Basel. The service is top notch. The cocktails are incredible (big + for the red tonic) and the fries are killer (once again big + for the banana curry sauce, a treat) Very nice experience, thank you.

A great bar and a super friendly gin tasting with Hakan!

I reserved a lounge for 600.-. This included 2 vodka bottles and energy drinks were served as mixed drinks. Even though we booked a lounge for 8 people, we only received 9 energy drinks - that's one drink per person and then we still had a bottle of vodka left and had to buy more energy drinks. The fruit plate is disappointing considering the price. When I asked about decorations because I wanted to celebrate my birthday in the bar lounge, they promised me balloon decorations and streamers. However, only 3 balloons with the Bar Rouge logo were hung and there was only one streamer on the table. So overall very disappointing. I will not be making another lounge reservation at Bar Rouge.

Beautiful ambience! However, the guests/visitors are very special, arrogant and bother you. Maybe you should be more careful about who you let in. The drinks are good very expensive!

Barrouge bouncer didn't let me in even though I'm a regular customer, the woman and the man downstairs they change this staff very badly Already 2 times ok he just wants the new customers I'll rate them or you change staff so badly

Our company had the cocktail workshop with Vanessa last night - simply great! The atmosphere in the bar is great. It was a very entertaining, exciting and informative workshop - I don't even want to start talking about the fun factor!! Simply great!! And especially Vanessa behind the bar, who rocked the workshop in English!

Bar and club-disco in the evening, located on the 31st floor of one of the highest buildings in Basel and offering an incredible view of the entire city and its surroundings. The emphasis is on drinks, that's why I didn't rate the food, because I don't even know what's on offer, but that's why they have a good selection of cocktails. Apart from the beautiful view and the helpful staff, the atmosphere itself is too youthful, quite noisy even though it was relatively early, so I recommend it depending on the age and the desire for that kind of entertainment.

For an after-work drink, it was super cool, especially because of the view. Service was very friendly. I can't judge what it looks like later at night. Not cheap.
