Centrally located restaurant serving Japanese food with a focus on sushi. Excellent quality of products and visually appealing presentation with beautiful plates. The large bar menu also impresses with numerous original creations. Big praise to our waitress Patricia, who was able to provide expert information and exuded a high level of presence. Conclusion: Highly recommended.

We waited 40 minutes for 6 drinks and then they brought us the wrong ones. The one waiter (older lady) was not happy that we wanted to put 2 tables together and she just stood there and did not offer any help. The sushi is good, but a bit overpriced (lost his touch). Same for the drinks. Maybe the Barkeeper is new.

Four of us shared the Godzilla platter and we were not disappointed. Really good serving size that fed us all And the food was really enjoyable with a good variety on the platter. The cocktails we had were very tasty too.

Really unexpectedly good food. Surprised the rating is 4.3, as this was some of the best food we’ve had in Switzerland.

I absolutely ❤️ this place. My friend’s poke bowl was super fresh and tasty, as were my avocado & raw tuna salad and the tiger shrimp tempura with mayo rolls. The atmosphere is intimate in a nicely decorated setting, and the charming waitress gave us the best table in the house: a high table in the open window, allowing us to practically sit outdoors while still being protected from the rain. Service was incredibly attentive and genuinely kind. Only top marks, even from a somewhat difficult and demanding foodie such as myself 😁 cannot wait to come back!

In the evening there are shady spots outside with a view of Hirschenplatz. The starters whet your appetite for more, the sushi is good and the platter portions are big enough ;-)

Cocktails were really good. Service was lovely. Sushi was unimpressive. Soggy rice and less than fresh/crisp tasting fish.

Food-wise it's actually great, but I also expect a reasonable selection of sake from a sushi place. Unfortunately, you won't be able to find it here...

The food itself wasn't bad, but we didn't get what we wanted. We had to send the plate back four times and in the end it still didn't have what we ordered on it. The service was poor and the management was unaccommodating.

Very tasty rolls. Nice ambiance to this restaurant. It’s right on a major pedestrian area and very vibrant. The Sunset rolls were absolutely delicious and a mix e variation to traditional sushi. Staff was very pleasant and prompt. Highly recommend.

My favorite sushi place in Zurich. The quality and creativity from Maki to Uromaki is top notch. I also accept the somewhat high price for this. The fish soup is absolutely amazing!

I was thrilled by the large selection of excellent drinks in the Barfüsser Bar in Zurich's Niederdörfli. The location is simply beautiful and invites you to linger. Unfortunately it was a bit quiet and there wasn't a real bar atmosphere, but I can still definitely recommend the bar. A great experience with 4 stars.

Great sushi. We had the Godzilla Chefs Choice version, which offered an incredible selection of delicious sushi. The drinks were also refreshing. Very central location and super nice staff. Highly recommended for a delicious dinner with wonderful drinks!

We were very positively surprised. We will be back. The service staff was extremely friendly and was always available for us despite the high number of people in the restaurant.

A very nice and friendly service with vegetarian and vegan options. The food itself was nice, but the sushi could be better and/or cheaper. Some of the decisions for variations like adding beetroots and cheese didn't fit very well in my mind.

Opening times until 11:30 p.m. - at 10:20 p.m. Door closed and after asking for a cocktail (after I had taken the hotel entrance), the answer came: We have already settled. 11:30 p.m. is 11:30 p.m., it's not possible to close more than an hour before.

The veggie samurai has a wide variety of different types of sushi with many funky combinations such as the inside out roll with pink beetroot rice. As for fish sushi we shared the chefs choice which was delicious but rather pricey. Personally I think any of the fish options would have been great.

To drink the espresso martini wasn’t a great experience at all.

Today was the Dörflifest in Zurich, where we spent a few hours at Hirschplatz. When we got to the restaurant, which was empty inside and out, we were offered 2 tables right in front of the door. We sat down and ordered 2 cocktails. When the order was taken, we were asked if we wanted to eat too. We said: "A little later..." The waitress seemed confused and went in briefly. When she came back she said that as long as we didn't eat, we weren't allowed to sit outside, those were the rules. We should leave the table. We found the interaction very rude. We won't be visiting the restaurant again... We decided to have something to eat at the restaurant opposite.

Visited the restaurant after its moving and reopening with friends, we only wanted to have drinks, so we stayed at the bar. However, we changed our mind and decided to have some sushi and dessert as well. The waiter was very kind and helpful, he was letting us order at the bar. Food was delicious and very fresh. Great cocktails, just like before in Platzhirsch times. :) Wonderful service, great food and selection of cocktails. Highly recommended!

The legendary "Barfüsser", the oldest gay bar in Europe, was since 1956 located at Spitalgasse 14 not Spitalgasse 3 where it is now. This Sushi place has nothing to do with it.

Since I'm a vegetarian and therefore not much of a sushi fan, I tried it again... and I really enjoyed it! Super nice atmosphere and great staff!

Came here for a quick bite. The service was so slow, that even the cooks started bringing out dishes to everyone's tables. Payment was fast. Sushi tasted average. Cocktails were average. Wasabi was excellent. Prices are above average for what you get, compared to other sushi places in Zürich.

Amazing quality! After one of the items was wrongly delivered, Barfüsser immediately delivered the correct sushi for free with doubled portion size.

Nicely located, possibility of parking just a minute away, enough space to avoid shoulder to shoulder contacts, modern and cozy interior, spacious terrace, kind and polite staff, reasonable prices on a variety of choices, fast reactions and prompted service, everything was fine in general. They seriously want to do business. The only thing unartistic was classic (or traditional) Asian uniform of kitchen staff was unharmonized with modern Italian interior. However, who really cares about it as long as we can eat with no stress.
