Excellent cuisine, excellent staff and services.

Villa Barone is located right next to a bus stop near the center of Bassersdorf. The pizzeria is inviting and friendly and has a large and beautiful terrace. The menu offers a large selection. The pizzas are good and recommended. The restaurant is very child-friendly and the staff is friendly, helpful and humorous. Will definitely come back.

The ambience and food were good, the price was surprising: 1 salad, 2 pizzas and 2 soft drinks 71.-.

Thanks to my employer at Top Alliance, I was always able to have lunch at this good Italian restaurant during an event..it's not just the food that's a pleasure..the courtesy and friendliness of the staff is also a joy..viva la dolce vita!!

Chatty pizza cheese, service unfriendly stressed & expensive! Bruschetta & pasta were absolutely delicious. Main course came during starters.

We come to Barone regularly and the food is great and the staff is outstanding. Our son fell asleep and the boss brought us three chairs so he could sleep on them including blankets. What service - we'll be happy to come back.

Food and conditions were very good. The red chairs should be replaced again, they are very uncomfortable!

I went to dinner with my mother today. Unfortunately, our pasta was overcooked and not seasoned enough. In addition, the salmon was fried in old oil and had an unpleasant taste. Salad had too much vinegar and instant sauce in it. Service is a bit slow but polite. Atmosphere is nice in the garden and clean. Unfortunately it wasn't a good experience because of the bad food.

Average impression. Service so intense that sometimes 3 employees questioned 5 people at the table at the same time, often the same thing. It was tedious that Italian was always spoken, even though everyone answered in German. Price/performance below average.

Friendly staff! A huge selection of pizzas. But also a menu adapted to the season. Extremely inexpensive menus! And it doesn't always have to be pizza. The Italian menu is also very extensive and always promises a culinary delight The wine list is also impressive! And on warm summer days, the large covered garden terrace is another plus point of the “Barone” in the center of Bassersdorf.

There were 6 of us and everyone gave the pizza an average of 5 out of 10. The calamari only gets 5 out of 10 points. We also agreed on the service; we found it rather unfriendly.

Overall it was great, I also liked the fact that a shot (and an espresso) was offered at the end. However, greater attention should be paid to ensuring that everyone who is offered a nightcap is of legal age.

The service was very friendly, even had the chance to play on the grang piano since we are both pianists. The seafood was tasty and the coffee perfect. Highly recommendable

We celebrated a birthday. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is very nice. The terrace is spacious. We were even offered coffee after dinner. Super satisfied, gladly again! Thanks to the Barone team!

The pizza is definitely worth highlighting, the dough definitely had a long resting time, the toppings and the taste were very good. Unfortunately the Aperol Spritz was a bit small for the price and too warm despite having ice cream. Conclusion: it's worth visiting the restaurant, but it's definitely not cheap

Real Italian restaurant, the waiters wear white shirts with black trousers. The food is wonderfully delicious. Grappa and espresso are often served on the house.

Friendly staff. The food as well as the prices were good. You could distribute the ingredients on the pizza a little better than throwing everything in a pile. The drinks came wrong. We had ordered two waters and a Coke Zero and a water came. At the end you got amaretto or a grappa with a coffee for free if you wanted. Very obliging!

Attention allergy sufferers! The restaurant does offer gluten-free pizza and pasta - which is generally great - but the staff (including the boss!) are not interested or attentive enough to ensure that the right person has the gluten-free dish on their plate! We ordered 1x normal pizza and 1x gluten-free pasta and received the two plates after a long wait (35 minutes!). In the meantime we were very hungry and found out that we were given 1x gluten-free pizza and 1x normal pasta. Very annoying, but luckily it wasn't dangerous for me as I only have an intolerance and not celiac disease...still hardly an excuse! And by the way, generally unfriendly and disinterested service...and some of the staff don't speak German - a shame, because the food would generally be very tasty, but under these circumstances we no longer visit the restaurant and don't recommend it!

It's lovely to sit outside in the summer. The service is friendly and quick. The pizza is extremely good. I had a calzone which was excellent quality and size. 4 instead of 5 stars because it is quite expensive. Well, if you're traveling from Germany, Switzerland is always more expensive, but 25 francs for a pizza or 45 for a veal schnitzel is crazy.

When we went out to eat there in the evening on June 28th, 2022, everything was perfect, service was top and the food was awesome. Highly recommended. Keep it up🙌🙌

We sat down at a table that unfortunately hadn't been cleared yet. Then she swore in Italian (they think they're Italian anyway) and was something rude and derogatory. Even though I asked her to speak German, she continued to swear in front of us and was so condescending that we left the restaurant. I would like to take this opportunity to officially apologize for occupying a table that had not yet been cleared. Likewise, I will never visit you again in my life. I liked your portions, but you are still fake Italians, and your fake “buona sera” doesn’t help.

Simply great and you have to visit. Viva Italy. Great food, great staff, atmosphere like in Italy and the prices are right. Parking available but narrow. Otherwise, park on the street in front of the house. I always come back and at the end there is an espresso and grappa. Thank you.
