Very nice restaurant with a cool beer garden!

Price performance does not match. Shrimp were raw on the rice. 5dl mineral 6.50, so expensive.

The food is very fine and creative. We had braised veal cheeks and duck breast on flaméed fruit. The latter was very well coordinated and special. We recommend. The service was good and very quick. There were no waiting times and we received friendly service.

My visit to the Beaulieu restaurant was an entirely pleasant experience. The ambience was inviting and the food was deliciously prepared. I was particularly impressed by the top service from the staff, who were always attentive and friendly. I can definitely recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit.

Unfriendly service, side dishes are not included, which is very easy to ignore (food is correspondingly expensive), meat is tough.

The meal in the restaurant was a real pleasure, a great compliment to the kitchen. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. Despite the friendliness of the staff, there was a lack of wine and food expertise and basic service standards were not met. Training staff could greatly improve the experience.

The menu offers something for every taste but is manageable (to be understood as a positive). The homemade pasta was excellent and the service was prompt and friendly.

The burger was beautifully designed and lovingly prepared. Unfortunately, the burger was too salty even for someone who likes to eat very salty food. overglutamatized. The fact that side dishes are charged extra in a restaurant like this was pretty surprising, especially given the high price of the burger. My chair was broken and had a wobbly leg, apparently no one cares about the condition of the furniture. For me, a visit is no longer an option; I liked the restaurant more when it was closer to the neighborhood and tried less to be aloof. Unfortunately, the concept doesn't quite work yet, even with the high prices and the somewhat forced service. Direct customer feedback is not addressed.

Excellent service. The food is pretty good, especially the Cordon Bleu. Highly recommended if you visit Bern.

The food was really very tasty. Unfortunately the portions are a bit too small in relation to the price. In our opinion, the service was very unfriendly. Examples include that we had to set the table for our group ourselves, that part of our group was ignored for an order, that their eyes were rolled while the order was being placed... It's understandable to me that you have a bad day at work, but it's incomprehensible that this mood is left out on the customers. As is our annual tradition, we will no longer visit this restaurant.

The food is very good. However, the restaurant is very noisy and the service is a bit inattentive.

Friendly service, generally good food. Unfortunately no beer from the region. Frozen burger bread not fresh enough. The top layer of the bun is crumbling...meat could be more tender and fresh cucumbers have no place in a burger. Cool coleslaw with it, good sauce, good Bernese fries.

The price for the meal portion is pride. I lacked recognition value... It was way too loud. We could barely converse at the table of four.

Eight of us were there for dinner. Unfortunately it didn't convince us. These are the reasons. A Nüssler salad as a starter for a whopping 19.—is massively (!) overpriced. For almost all dishes, the side dishes must be ordered separately AND are charged additionally. For example, with a venison schnitzel for 39.-, the side dish in the form of “Spätzli” must be ordered as an extra and costs an additional 6.--Incidentally, this is the case with all game dishes - and all other meat dishes too - each side dish is sold separately order and will be charged additionally... Some of the blackheads chose veal liver. These were served in an overly sour, brown gravy. Even a non-gourmet will notice: veal liver in a dark gravy; doesn't fit and doesn't work (white meat in dark sauce)! Overall, all eight blackheads were unconvinced about this restaurant visit - to say the least. Even if the venison schnitzel was good, overall the price/performance ratio is simply not right here.

Big garden Fast service, large, tasty portions. Unfortunately, the main guest room is often very loud.

The staff is obviously stretched to some extent, but the food is a safe value. We really liked the quiet back dining room.

Cozy and lively. Cool furnishings. Service very average: those bringing food have no knowledge of the order. Wine recommendation was so-so: the Rioja has a beautiful color (oh really...?!?!) Wild boar too well-rounded and very well-rounded and not warm enough. Rest of the side dishes okay but cold. Dessert very fine.

Saturday afternoon 11:30. Restaurant almost empty and still very long waiting times. almost 1 hour until the main course. The Italian dressing on the starter salad was far too oily. Maybe you forgot the vinegar or didn't stir the sauce before serving. Main course: veal liver with rösti. A huge disappointment!! The liver was marinated in vinegar, or sour wine, and tasted extremely sour... the sauce was almost not salted at all, too light in color and very thick, strange consistency, I could only eat half of it and then had to give up. Unfortunately it wasn't edible...

Extremely hyped, but it didn't convince me. The service was slow, the waiters didn't remember who got what, and to be on the safe side we didn't even ask for a wine recommendation. The boss is great, but he can't be everywhere. The white wine was too warm, the red wine was too cold and the meat in the burger had the consistency of a bowling ball. No, it doesn't have to happen again.

Sorry, but the Côte de beouf was very difficult to eat. Lots of tendons. Price-performance wasn't right at all. Maybe I was just unlucky. It's a place to stay. The ambience inside and especially outside is an oasis in Bern.

The staff is extremely unfriendly. You notice this especially if you have been there for a long time or are a regular guest. No appreciation for customers

We came for lunch with our work colleagues. We ordered à la carte as the lunch menu didn't particularly appeal to us. If you like slightly oversaturated rösti and spicy sausages, this is the right place for you.

I was at Beaulieu for the first time today. We sat in the shady garden. It was very pleasant and the food was very good. What more could you want.

So far everything has always been great

They have a garden patio you can sit on when the weather is nice. I got the prosciutto e melone (pictured) and the Züri Geschnätzeltes with rösti. They didn’t have an English menu so I was just stabbing in the dark but do not regret any dish I had. Food was excellent.

Well established and very cozy restaurant. Especially recommendable in summertime as they have a very nice garden. We were there when it was busy, but after a drink outside we were seated at an excellent place in the garden. We only had drinks and a few snacks to share, but everything was excellent. Given that it was busy, service was loaded, and we had to occasionally signal to place an order for another round of drinks. All in all very friendly staff. Even more recommendable for visitors with little time on their hand as it is very close to the train station but you can still escape the hectic of the city.

French flair is noticeable. High quality. Good value for money. Friendly staff, family atmosphere.

I went there with my team for lunch and what can I say other than WoW. Very tasty food, top service and the location with a “beer garden” under chestnut trees 😊. Ah, the Cordon Bleu is highly recommended 😁

The food is good and high quality. Unfortunately, the waiting time is very, very long and the staff seems to be in a bad mood and stressed. A pity.

Service was ok, but fatty fish cakes with some salad (which is charged additionally), a loveless burger with fries (which are also charged separately) and two cokes for a whopping 81chf. An impudence!

Good food, friendly staff, but measly portions: I thought the business lunch for CHF 33 (photo) was just an appetizer. At least there was a little more gratin when asked.

All wrong We won't be coming back Unfortunately you can't give 0 stars... Pretty much everything that could go wrong went wrong. We always come to Bern and this time we decided to eat near the hotel. The restaurant looked very good and the reception was friendly. Unfortunately, the starter that was brought to us (vegi plate for 2) only contained half of what was on the menu. When I asked the waitress about it, she had to look at the menu herself and said she didn't know everything the restaurant served by heart... Great sign... Afterwards, as an apology, we were brought a second plate that was on the house instead of just the missing items . There were also things on the plate that were on the menu and didn't look very appetizing. The main course continued and we had to complain again. Rösti as a side dish was soggy and warmed up, my veggie burger only tasted of salt, market vegetables as a side dish were not at all what I was told I would get. At the end we were brought two glasses of limoncello with the bill even though we said three times during the evening that we didn't drink alcohol and only ordered non-alcoholic beer. And all the fun cost us over 120.- Never again.

The service at Fumoir is not always attentive and is striking in its absence. The service in the restaurant is attentive and friendly, even if not everyone speaks or understands German. One of the people in charge even listens to our comments and takes them into account. The meal beforehand, the cordon bleu, was tasteless, despite the promise of raclette, cheese was bland, ham was bad, after a short time water, i.e. juice, ran out of the part. Probably from pork which is not declared as cordon bleu. A published meat declaration is also missing (an objection on our part in this regard was appropriate but probably not taken seriously). The vegetable decoration on the plate is identical to the vegetable side dish, which is therefore not very innovative. 3/4 of the plate goes back after the service woman didn't ask very carefully whether the guest liked it. The Beaulieu Rösti only impresses with the “homemade” sausage, which is a little too strongly seasoned for my taste but tastes excellent. The round Rösti, on the other hand, is not crispy and the round shape suggests that it is a convenience product, which hopefully it is not. In my opinion, a small gravy boat full of Tomi mustard per guest would not be necessary and would hopefully be disposed of after it was cleared away... The only one that stood up, after we objected to the food, one of the people in charge brought us a sample plate of their specialties, which tasted excellent. Veal cheeks! For me as a restaurateur, this name only makes sense if there are veal ass cheeks and not just veal head cheeks on the menu, otherwise there should be veal head and veal cheeks on the plate. My question about the composition of this dish was not understood by someone responsible. Maybe I have too high expectations. The bill was also disappointing. Not because of the total amount, which seemed absolutely correct, but that no accommodation was made regarding the returned Cordon Bleu. The payment also only became understandable after a lot of calculation. We were in Beaulieu for the last time in December 2021 and actually wanted to choose it as one of our regular restaurants. Nice atmosphere, but food was better in the past, different owners. No appealing vegetarian option.

I've eaten at Beaulieu several times and it's always been very good. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is friendly and very flexible.

Terrible experience. Don't recommend in a group. We pre-ordered for about 15 people. Everything felt like pre-cooked and heated - including the meat! It took 1.5 hours to serve us, not all together, and part of the order was wrong. The food in general was not great: overwhelming spices in the pumpking soup, the deer was chewy, the ice cream felt very industrial.

The best Codon Bleu in Bern, it is 400g and it is huge with a lot of cheese. I recommend ordering it with Rosti. The dishes are very abundant and rich. I didn't like the glass of Valis white wine. Very good service, price on Bleu cord Ca 30Fr

A well known Restaurant near Bern Station. Reasonably priced daily Menu and also à la carte. Reservations recommended. Good food and wine.

I can only comment on the garden restaurant on a not so very sunny evening. Our group of 10 was not made to feel very welcome. It felt more that we were considered a nuisance.

SEK 250 for a fried sausage and rösti? SEK 300 for a Veg hamburger! It's expensive to be a tourist in Switzerland, yes I know... But somewhere there is a limit to how much certain dishes cost, I think 😅

Nice restaurant with a home-style menu and friendly staff. When the weather is nice and warm, a table outside on the terrace under the trees is highly recommended. Ideal for eating with friends and having a quiet chat. I always enjoy coming here. It's only about 5 minutes from the main train station and is therefore pretty central.

I've been there a few times now for lunch and recently also for dinner. The food was always very good, reasonable portions and great value for money. The staff was always friendly, served well and despite everything, they were never intrusive.

Not for big eaters or athletes.

The place is cozy. The food was delicious and the prices were okay too. What didn't work was that we were sitting at a table with strangers despite having a reservation! And because it was so tight there, every time we wanted to go to the toilet, the strangers next to us had to excuse themselves so we could pass. It didn't just annoy us, but also the others!

It's a good restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. I was a little torn about the offers. On the one hand, the food is rather expensive and the portions are very small (pasta for 29CHF) and on the other hand, it is inexpensive and large (Cordon Bleu 400g also for 29CHF)

Very tasty dishes (I had superb saddle of venison) and reasonable (for Swiss standards) prices. However, if you are a big group (we were nine persons) prepare for long waiting.

We booked for a dinner at 9 pm. When we arrived at the restaurant, they say that kitchen was closed. All the people were watching us like we were aliens but we were only respecting our reservation. Pay attention when you book!

The menu is seasonal, which I liked. The offer is not particularly attractive for vegetarians/vegans. Unfortunately, I was served a meat burger with cheese instead of a veggie burger without cheese. I found the price of around 32.- very high for it. Other than that, the service wasn't bad, but not particularly good either.

Unfortunately we have to look for a new one: - Poor, inattentive service - Dishes weren't delivered at the same time, one was even forgotten and then you were lied to - Food: small portions, little taste, big price - Jassen seems to be neither known nor wanted by the new owners It's a shame that things have developed this way with the new owners. It used to be an absolute top pub where you felt comfortable. But probably a lot of other people were already scared away, it was half empty on a Friday evening. Never again....

The entrecote was well prepared and the meat was good quality but the risotto was bland and lacked taste. The accompaniment was paid and it lacked garnish. The waitress seemed like a beginner but did pretty well.

Ugh. Large useless plates since they are 3/4 empty! Look for the meat! We fill you 6 dishes with the quantity of 3 but the bill is 6. The taste is good, a little salty and fatty.
