Beef in Genève

Excellent restaurant with high quality dishes in terms of products and taste. Never had such a good meal for a substantial but reasonable budget (~110.-), an experience to be repeated with great pleasure.

Waiters went above and beyond for us to have a perfect evening. They know their products. Excellent meet and wines. The atmosphere was really quiet and peaceful.

Service is always outstanding there. Meats are exceptional (Uruguayan for instance) and worth paying a bit more, selection has been thought through and this research should be appreciated. Wine list and rare chartreuse available. Tarte tatin and ice creams are delicious.

Exceptional meats and service!!

The focus is all on the meat, it s very nice. But appetizers, side dishes are pricey and not very good. Poor choice of local wines and, unless you're prepared to pay 400 to 800 CHF a bottle, not worth the drinking. Staff is professional and competent but we waited 50 minutes to get the starters : took the special Waygu, caviar Monarq, 38 chf for no taste.

Meal with colleagues, correct and relatively quick service. The dishes were good but nothing really exceptional for a fairly (too?) high price.

I went there for a long time because at the time it was the only place to find certain truly exceptional breeds of beef. Unfortunately the meat often arrives cold, the owner is extremely pretentious, the prices are extreme and I have never had even a free coffee even though I was used to the place and spent a lot of CHF there :/ I don't go there anymore, there are now better places in Geneva and much nicer for honest prices.

I recently visited Beef and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the friendly staff made me feel right at home. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the presentation was beautiful. The drinks menu was also impressive, with a great selection of wines and cocktails to choose from. I highly recommend trying their signature cocktail, Beef. What really stood out to me about Beef was the exceptional service. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, making great recommendations and ensuring that we had a fantastic dining experience. The ambiance of Beef is also worth noting. In my opinion, the best meat restaurant in Geneva! . The managers and waiters are very professional and know their job and what they sell very well. Exceptional meats that can only be found here. Highly recommended for your next Business Lunch or for a dinner in good company, the only negative point is that the glass of wine is expensive and you have to say the price per glass of wine. I advise you to clearly indicate the price of the wine by the glass.

Well, I just spent an exquisite evening in the company of friends at a good table, finally!!! We chose the beef fillet (black 200) a treat for the taste buds, in terms of meat quality, cooking flavor...hmmm we want more!!! Everything was served and supervised by a professional team in the presentation of the high-end product, not without being marred by a very pleasant touch of humor......it was perfect.......well done and compliments to the kitchen !!! So how can we not remember this address or rather recommend it to you......you will not be disappointed!! High quality meats (the Aberdeen Angus is incredible), perfect cooking and great service (don't hesitate to get advice). You have to pay the price but it’s a safe bet, a must for any meat lover!

My son and I went there with high expectations. Maybe it was a mistake. The prime rib is not presented to the customer. It arrives on the cut plate. The cooking was not fair (not at all) and despite my request they were unable to recook it. The ones next to it are basic but good quality. If you want a good rib of beef in Geneva, go to Restaurant La Potinière, it will be presented and cooked correctly.

Not being a big fan of meat, I highly recommend the BEEF, the quality is excellent, the meats and accompaniments delicious. The waiters and waitresses provide very good advice and are very welcoming. The leftover cheese plate is a little expensive for the quantity offered.

Restaurant is nice with indoor and outdoor tables. Staff is very welcoming and well prepared. The quality of the meat is excellent. For sure one of the best meat Restaurant in Geneva. And it is not only about meat. The list of wines has many choices. They have also very good desserts. I was very satisfied at the end of the dinner.

Mixed meal in this restaurant. The meat is quite good but the prices are exorbitant, from cheese to meat you have to leave a lingot. The quantities are not significant for the prices. In addition, each time I came, the bill amounted to between 300 and 900 francs and not once did we have a free digestive, even on a birthday... Save and go elsewhere

Its rare to find members of staff so passionate about their products. The meat was particularly good and although I was at first dissapointed, I was nonetheless happy that they did not serve fries so that I could try the polenta. A good experience but again, perhaps slightly too pricey.

Très bien par rapport à ma première expérience.Burger Aberdeen Angus PARFAIT (1ère fois que j'utilise ce mot pour décrire un burger) ! Viande parfaitement cuite et très goûteuse, cheddar de compétition et le bun était vraiement parfait lui aussi, ce qui est rare ! Un peu cher, mais vaut la peine quand on veut se faire plaisir !

J'ai commandé via Smood le burger "Black Angus Rangers Valley" avec supplément Cheddar maturé (31chf sans frites).On voit que la viande est de très bonne qualité, malheureusement, le pattie n'a pas du tout été assez saisi/grillé, ce qui est dramatique pour un burger. Du coup, il manque ce fameux goût obtenu grâce à la réaction de Maillard.Par ailleurs, les garnitures sont bonnes mais masquent un peu trop le goût de la viande.Globalement décevant. En effet, pour le prix, le burger devrait être presque parfait.

Moment absolument incroyable dans ce petit bistrot de viande, de loin le meilleur endroit pour moi où j'ai dégusté des viandes d'un autre monde. Super accueil sympa, viandes gouteuses, rares et super tendres. les accompagnements sont succulents également, jusqu'au dessert avec une ile flottante très originale. Nourriture pas mauvaise mais rien de spécial et hors de prix pour ce que c’est. Cadre sympathique mais encore une fois rien de fou. Serveur monstrueusement a cheval sur port du masque lorsque vous voulez vous déplacer pour aller fumer par exemple; il a raison. De la a nous agresser car nous avons oublié le masque c’est dommage. Ils ont raison mais si ils considèrent les règles de protections comme si importantes, pourquoi n’ont ils a aucun moment pris nos coordonnées pour traçage? Ni pour nous, nous piur les autres tables. La manière dont nous avons été traités par ce serveur (je pense que c’était le proprio) est complètement scandaleuse. Ce monsieur n’a rien a faire dans cet industrie. La serveuse elle a été très aimable et a un peut rattraper le coche mais encore une fois ce restaurant n’a strictement rien de spécial.

Quand je vois les commentaires précédents je me dis que certaines personnes n’ont pas compris la conjoncture actuelle. Certes tout n’es pas parfait mais ça ils perdent déjà assez d’argent pour les pointés du doigt à cause d’une erreur de communication.2eme venu dans ce restaurant, en février et août.J’ai mangé un bœuf provenance De Pologne d’une maturation incroyable. Le service était bien...C’était calme... on a passé un bon moment on reviendra.

J'ai réservé une table sur la terrasse de ce restaurant. La serveuse a demandé si on ne préfèrait pas à l'intérieur, parce que dehors la viande risquait de devenir froide. J'ai dit préférer dehors quand même, qu'elle pouvait réserver comme ça, que j'appellerais si jamais on changeait d'avis et voudrions aller à l'intérieur, et que si je n'appelais pas c'était bon sur la terrasse. A notre arrivée, ils nous disent qu'ils ne serviront pas dehors et qu'ils nous l'ont dit au téléphone. Or, c'est faux, ils ne l'ont pas dit. Ils ont simplement demandé si on ne préférait pas à l'intérieur plutôt que dehors. Ils ont été très arrogants et le patron autant que la serveuse capables d'insister sur leur mensonge. Au temps du COVID c'est quand même absurde qu'un restaurant ferme sa terrasse alors qu'il fait chaud dehors, en n'annonçant pas clairement au téléphone que c'était fermé. Nous sommes partis. De toute façon nous étions déjà venus ici une fois avant et trouvions que le rapport qualité-prix était mauvais.

Un accueil très jovial et chaleureux pour les pigeons que nous sommes; ambiance et carte pour les m'as-tu-vus; prix digne des boutiques Hermes, sans la qualité qui va avec. Un restaurant pour pigeons qui aiment se faire voir uniquement. mal assis, cher de manière insultante. service ok, sourires ok, viande mal préparée et non conforme à notre commande: Dieu sait si nous ne sommes pas des carnivores bien rodés du méchoui jusqu'au Chuleton, de l'Angus jusqu'à la Galice, Mais ni la qualité et certainement pas les prix ne méritent que l'on y retourne.

Wir gingen für 2 auf die Top Cote de Buf des Tages.Das Fleisch war zu mittel statt selten zu gekocht und das Fleisch kaum kaubar. 120 für diese Hauptleitung für 2.Das Personal war in Ordnung.Nicht empfohlen. In Genf gibt es bessere Orte für Steaks.

So, the meat was fantastic. Unfortunately that's not the whole story.We ordered the 220g Australian bavette (sensational) and the 300g Australian entrecote (didn't seem to be 300g and was lacking in flavour) I doubted whether the meat was in fact cooked on their josper oven as there were no bar marks nor the distinctive charcoal flavour. The lack of caramlisation on the exterior of the steak was the real giveaway. I am quite sure that the meat is simply seared in a dry pan and then left to rest briefly in a cold josper, not really the point of having such a fantastic piece of equipment. I tried to peak into the kitchen to see if my thoughts were correct but couldn't get a close enough look to be 100% sure. As for the sides? Well the polenta was OK, the pomme puree was pretty shocking, potatoes clearly overly boiled resulting in a watery taste with a glue like consistency, plus a little seasoning wouldn't have hurt.Whilst I can't fault the quality of the raw produce, the meat was fantastic, everything else leaves a lot it to be desired. I wouldn't normally be so critical but when you charge these prices you leave yourself wide open to such critique.The service was attentive without being fussy and we never had to wait too long for anything.Just for reference I have over 5 years experience of working in as a professional chef and extensive experience of using a josper oven. Would I go back? No. Would I use their butcher? Definitely
