Dario's in Genève

Very mixed experience... The place is nice, but a little cold. The service was friendly until the bill was paid... payment only by card! No cash accepted even though it's not listed anywhere... for food, we started with a sharing dish of excellent fried squid. This is spoiled on carbonara pasta! The dish was extremely salty and mushy...not great...

We had a wonderful time, the crew is nice and friendly, and, as an Italian, the food is quite good :) very good selection of wine and champagne . Recommended!

The staff and surroundings were absolutely charming. Luigi took very good care of us. The food is exceptionally delicious. We are impressed with Chef Davide. We ordered arancini, sautéed squid, tagliatelle Bolognese, spaghetti carbonara, sea bass fillet, veal escalope with lemon, Sicilian cannoli and tiramisu and everything was wonderful. A very big thank you and see you soon. You gained two new fans!

The restaurant either has an issue with sanitation or poor ventilation, because the entire venue smelt like fish. The quality of the food was average at best, the service was poor, and they wouldn’t honor the fork discount code we had booked with. Overall a poor experience and would not go back, there are many options for delicious Italian restaurants in Geneva that have better quality food and a better customer service experience.

I do not recommend this restaurant. Perhaps there was a problem that evening because apart from the service and the very friendly atmosphere, the food was mediocre: sand in the seafood and the dish too salty or uninteresting. We ordered 3 dishes each (starter, 1st and 2nd courses). I can't comment on dessert because we didn't dare and didn't want to. I am sorry to post such a comment and having worked in restaurants (my husband and I) I cannot imagine other couples thinking of eating in a good restaurant, if they find themselves disappointed. I do not recommend this restaurant. You will waste your money and the evening will be poor in taste.

Disastrous meal in the establishment for a birthday. I got the wrong dish and yet he still charged it, I am outraged because the waiter was very nervous, the atmosphere is incredible because of the birthday but the management is uncompromising, sincerely disappointed with this restaurant chain however well known throughout Geneva. I do not recommend at all the portions are too small for the price. I recommend Molino for an Italian restaurant

When you leave a bill of more than 2000.— and the digestive is not offered it is not very commercial. In addition, the dishes are too expensive for what is on the plate. I won't go back there at all. Damage.

Dish served cold, we ask to reheat them, the dish comes back almost with nothing. Price for 2 pieces of meat and some fries for 47.- it's just exorbitant. Unpleasant staff who speak almost no French and who don't understand when you speak to them, order the wrong thing, bring the dishes at the same time as the starter, not a commercial gesture for all these mistakes, a small glass of cold tea 6 .- even though they had promised another drink because they don't do the dishes and didn't have another glass, the dishes were all too salty, they called us liars for the fact that we were unhappy with the dishes that come back empty, in short a CATASTROPHE and way too expensive for what it is! The truffle pasta dish with 4 pastas in it be prepared to be hungry when you leave the restaurant!

My experience at this restaurant was disappointing on many levels. The value for money was not up to par, the spaghetti carbonara was ruined by an excessive amount of salt, and the truffle pasta seemed to be in limited number on the plate (5 Tortellini). The dishes served cold were sent back to the kitchen but came back half empty, when we pointed this out to the staff, we were insulted as liars. Errors in the order, dishes and starters served simultaneously. Additionally, the promise of a second glass of cold tea was never kept, and we were charged for something we never received (6.- a glass of cold tea). Overall, a poor experience with no attempt at rectification from the restaurant. NEVER AGAIN!

As a starter, the burrata was very average, the truffle fagottini must have been affected by inflation given the number on my plate (5) and the price of them. First time that the dishes were brought to me at the same time as the starters without forgetting the unacceptable way of expressing themselves from the staff. However, the ambient sound playlist was cool.

I had lunch at this place in the center of Geneva. Very elegant place and very kind staff. Excellent for eating Italian cuisine thanks to the top quality products that make the dishes delicious. I hope to return soon.

Very expensive considering the quantity. Even though the dishes were very good, we were left hungry. Pleasant setting, service a little long even though the restaurant was not very busy.

We had a very nice meal there. Carbonara was very authentic and flavorful. The calamari frites very tasty not greasy and fresh. The waiters were nice and thoughtful. Tiramisu also really classic.

We would like to extend a massive thank you to the team for their service and expert attention to detail (inc. offering to prepare translations of our dinner menu) that they extended to us and our guests at our wedding reception dinner. The Sicilian food, the service, and the ambiance was superb, everyone was impressed. The manager was consistently warm and hardworking. The barman was happy to experiment with cocktails - to the glee of our guests! Everybody was relaxed. They were impressed by the interior, which was very classy, but welcoming nonetheless. Thank you for making our evening so special and we would recommend anyone to dine at this excellent establishment.

The food is ok, but nothing was remarkable, except the fritto misto, the other dishes we ordered were just standard average of what you can have in two dozen italian restaurants within 1km radius. We were on the terrasse, which is fresher in a hot evening, but really not fancy: just on the sidewalk, while pedestrians move through. There are many Italian eateries in Genèva - but few that truly stand out. The menu has a slight Sicilian flair and the waiter made great recommendations of dishes to try. The carbonara was great with the guanciale - my husband had a risotto which tasted fabulous.

Sublime restaurant. The boss Dario is really great. Listens to his customers and comes to greet them in person. The cuisine, what can I say.... EXCELLENT!!! It's beautiful, colorful and delicious. It smells like the Mediterranean and Southern Italy! I highly recommend going there.

I took my partner this February 17, 2023 and I was surprised in a good way, even very good. Very warm welcome and the table that I had chosen a few days before us was well reserved. The waitress who advised us and served us was very professional and her colleague who was there to support us for this evening was also very good. The Service and advice were all perfect and thanks to the kitchen, everything was impeccable. The only small thing is about the tiramisu that I had for dessert, I found (and this is personal) that it lacked a bit of the taste of mascarpone, but it was very good too. Thank you to your entire team and we can't wait to come and taste other dishes from your menu.

This little Italian restaurant is a true marvel. Everything is homemade and no need to ask the staff: You can feel it in every bite! We had a great time there and the value for money is very appreciable. A sophisticated decor with a pleasant subdued atmosphere which makes the place magical. The servers are also extremely attentive. A big thank you to everyone for this great time spent with my partner for the New Year. A very happy new year 2023 to all staff.

An unusual restaurant. Soft lighting and elegant decor: an ideal place for those seeking discretion and tranquility. The map is very interesting. We had a few starters and fish dishes. Everything was excellent. The quality of the products and the presentation of the dishes leave no room for criticism. The bread and focaccia were extremely tasty. Excellent Sicilian cannoli. The service was fast and precise. We will definitely come back to this restaurant to try new dishes. Congratulations to the whole team!

The prices are standard for Geneva but the quality is amazing. Definitely one of the best Italians around for pasta and altri classici (arancini, tiramisu).

Yesterday evening, 3 hours after eating the FAGOTTINI AL TARTUFO, fries and gourmet coffee at DARIOS GENÈVE (and nothing else before or after), my husband vomited due to food poisoning. When the dish arrived, there was a suspicious smell of rotten eggs but he didn't dare say it was my fault. This is a shame and unacceptable. Know that the manager dared to ask me for a medical certificate instead of apologizing. Courage to future customers.

Some of the best Italian food I have ever eaten, way better than in Italy. Service from Alessandro was impressive and the food they served stunning. We enjoyed some Spaghetti carbonara, ravioli al tartuffo and ended with a delicious tiramisú. It is a must in Geneva 12/10. Keep up the amazing job!!
