Berger – de Faletans in Genève

I had the chance 😍 to discover this place dedicated to delicacies, a long time ago (17 years already) with my daughter and the story repeats itself now because I happily return there with my youngest 👧👦

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the bakery shop / tea room Berger de Faletans. Very good French pastries done the classic way. The inside tables are unassuming but this dors the job. Nice welcomjng staff. A tiny bit expensive. CHF 14.50 for two pastries.

Everything is so good! Incredible scones, wonderful milk and chocolate breads, extraordinary pastries and chocolates, the quality is priceless. I've been going there for years and I haven't found anything better yet, yet I'm looking!

Very good pastry shop. The sweets are delicious, kind of classical with a modern twist. The savory options have that distinct sweet pastry chef bias. They have a seating area that is pleasant but can get really crowded on Saturdays. Service is efficient (considering how unpractival the serving area is) and staff doesn't change over the years which is usually a good sign.

The products are delicious, fine and the presentation is colorful and neat. The cafe inside is very pleasant (even if places are rare on weekends). Our favorite pastry-bakery in Geneva.

We specifically ordered a frozen Christmas log with certain flavors. We checked with the seller in store when collecting the order. And finally, we end up with another scent. Disappointing, especially the price of the log…

It's the best chocolate in Geneva, in Switzerland, perhaps in the world! Their scones are delicious. Everything is tasteful and of superior quality. And the service is very friendly. Absolutely recommended.

Elegant and tasty pastries await you in this small shop which holds pleasant surprises, such as apricot and pistachio bread, and other sweets (jams, shortbread, etc.). I will come back to taste it better

Best Chocolate and pastries ive ever had.

I had the pleasure of discovering the Berger - De Faletens Pâtisserie-chocolaterie and I can say that it is, without a doubt, one of the best in Geneva. The welcome is warm and friendly, with a small relaxing terrace at the back of the shop. The products are as much a pleasure for the eyes as they are for the taste buds. I'll let you judge for yourself by looking at the photos. In short, I highly recommend this place :-)

One of the best confectionery, pastry and bakery artisans. The prices are certainly expensive but the quality is always there.

rare art of pastry, held with love and far from fashion. all with great humility and simplicity. as a bonus: the courtyard and its majestic ivy. The only downside for my taste: the coffee.

In my opinion, the best bakery/patisserie in town ! And definitely in my top 5, EVER... Croissants are to die for, and I'm not even going to mention the pastry.

Very good pastries where inventiveness and lightness come together in a single cake. The immense cloud which serves as decoration is imposing and does not add much to the place except the suspicion of finding dust on our plates. However, a very good place for tea time! Modification: I must say that since I posted this announcement, repair work has been carried out, which shows.....

Everything is good there. Absolutely everything. And the small backyard gives a pleasant breath of fresh air to the narrowness of the place. Decent service. And everything is too expensive.

The pastry is really delicious. No hesitation to pay 7 francs for a slice of caramelized apple pie, which is very hearty, nor 6.80 for a 70% chocolate éclair that you could dream of at night. Everything is good, but in my opinion the pastry deserves the prize...

Tea room with refined pastry! Friendly setting. Several choices of teas possible. Pleasant staff. Only small downside: toilets in corridor outside the tea room.

A confectioner where the pastries are of quality and the quiches and other omelettes are good. The dishes and desserts are elaborate and elegant in addition to being good. The service is fast and friendly without being intrusive or pushy. A beautiful address in Plainpalais!

I go there twice a week, excellent sandwiches, their pastries are just exceptional, and I love their chocolates, especially the dark ones which I buy by weight by bringing my own box to fill (to avoid wasting packaging) . The staff is very friendly and gives good advice.

Irish Brownbread and scones available - amazing! This Bakery is great - the cakes are delishous and the coffee is good. there is also a nice Little garden out the back. The homemade Irish Brown bread is delish! and the scones are also good too (butter and jam are not included however), apparently the own has irish roots and makes the bread from his traditional Family recipie

One of the best bakeries in Geneva

So far I have only tasted the chocolate mouse and the raspberry macaron but they are excellent! I have already planned to try their hot chocolate and all the other products little by little. In general the sweets are 6fr, they are quite small, but I would say they are not too expensive compared to other places. Later edit: homemade hot chocolate is a MUST, it is divine, real melted chocolate, not quickly prepared powders like most places. To try!

I regularly buy their chocolate cake. It is simply excellent. Their croissants are also among the best I've eaten in Geneva. The little chocolates are very good, don't hesitate The mille-feuille is very good Less positive: the snail (the pastries) is not good at all the cake is very expensive, around twice as expensive as something similar from the competition (well, I haven't studied the entire pastry market, but I'll give you an idea).
