After a day of skiing we stopped at this magnificent chalet in Blatten. They immediately found us accommodation. Impeccable roasts and fondue. The children liked it. Keep it up

It's a shame, the cheese slice was very dry, it would have been better not to toast the bread so hard (which you can't do with old bread) and if you did, a little more white wine on it would certainly not have hurt. We definitely come to Blatten for lunch once or twice a year, but this time we didn't like it.

A special class restaurant on the valley run to Zermatt. A corn cream soup that, according to the taste, used real corn on the cob, Älpler macaroons that tasted great and the apple strudel for dessert was a delight, as was the house coffee. Big recommendation, we'll come by again this week!

Fantastic food with large portions and good service. The mushroom soup with puff pastry is maybe the best soup I’ve ever had. Restaurant also has great views from the deck and you can watch skiers come down the piste. Highly recommend after a long day of skiing.

Blatten is always worth a stop. Good fondue with bread, potatoes and cauliflower. The mulled wine is as it should be. The service was always courteous despite the “Full House”. The prices are reasonable. Blatten a hut experience.

Best location in Zermatt! A must on every visit to Zermatt!

The restaurant is located on the slopes and hiking trail. Unfortunately we were informed that a reservation was required in high season. The only seats available were outside and occupied. So we couldn't eat. The atmosphere is rustic.

Outstanding hidden gem as you wander near the ski gondola lift station. Our group stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and it was an amazing meal we had. Can’t remember the name of the dishes but everything our group ate was Michelin star quality. We all wished we had more time to come back for another meal.

Amazing scenery and great service and food. Def worth a visit. They are veggie friendly, had a great Rose and service aspect was great. We were late for our reservation time and yet they still had our table waiting for us, very much appreciated. Would def visit again during our next visit.

Easily accessible on foot, right on the slopes in winter. Also easily accessible by gondola and 15' on foot. Well eaten, great mountain scenery, friendly and attentive staff. We will be back.

Like this restaurant very much. The food was very good, although option are somewhat limited. You can sit on the terrace with a nice view of the swiss alps, where you are contantly greeted by small birds and the lovely clinging of cow bells.

It's a shame that you can only get a place with a reservation, the app is good.

Perfect for a rest on the hike. The service is super friendly and accommodating. The view & ambience are excellent. In our opinion, price and performance are more than fair. Tip: Chocolate cake is a must for snacking.

Beautiful terrace and excellent service

The cozy restaurant can only be reached on foot in summer. The shortest route from the middle station down to the valley is about 20 minutes long. It takes about 40 minutes up the mountain from the center of Zermatt. In winter it is right on the slopes. Very friendly staff and fine food. Gladly again.

Easily reachable after 20 minutes from Furi or first visit the Gornerschlucht and stop off as a reward. Staff very friendly, booking in advance is relaxed, but spontaneous visits also work if you have the opportunity. Food is very good, apricot tart is a must! After dinner, we quickly visit Ricola herbal garden and take a leisurely stroll to Zermatt. Only to recommend. 😉

This place was unbelievable!! By far our favorite restaurant we’ve been to on the mountain. The food was amazing, the service was excellent (mushroom soup!!) and the atmosphere was just perfect. We travel with a small family of two children and a dog, and the playground on-site was ideal. The kids played around for an hour or two, while we just listened to music and stared at the mountain. We walked down from Furi and it took us about 15min. We then walked all the way back to town which took another 40min or so. Noted, we stopped at the Gorner Gorge.

Stopped for a wine and beer on the way back to Zermatt. Excellent

Very great restaurant with a great but manageable selection of dishes. The food was very good and the portions were more than OK. After a good 4 hour hike we were all full 🙃 However, if you are a larger group you should reserve in advance. The staff is very friendly and the owners kept apologizing that it was taking a little longer today, but it wasn't a problem. The waiting time was perfectly fine for a Sunday.

I stopped by by chance on my way back from Gorner Valley. A nice cafe restaurant in a very small village. It was quiet and comfortable, and the Alpine macaroni I ate was very delicious. Also, the toilet is super cute. You could even see the Matterhorn from the window of the women's restroom.

Amazing chalet ! I come every year with the Uni of Geneva and the food and the "GuiliGuili" still taste awesome !

Amazing location, great views. In my opinion, they lasted too let us know that we could chose our seats, and then lasted too long to take our orders.

I simply adore Blatten! Hands down my favourite apres ski spot during winter, and a lovely coffee/lunch place in the summer. On the way down from Furi, or a short hike away from Zermatt. Been there on several occasions and both food and service were always outstanding. The only real problem I have there is: Bombardino oder Gili-Gili? :))

It's always nice to be here... we walked up from the village and you're there in 20 minutes. But it's also easy to reach on skis because it's on the slopes. We ordered raclette and rösti with bratwurst. Was super tasty. The Valais wine was a perfect match.

Great spot to grab a drink and relax in the sun after a day of skiing. Drinks were good and prices acceptable. The view is amazing:)

We had lunch at Bergrestaurant Blatten last summer. I made a reservation online for our party of 13 well in advance. This was my second time in Zermatt and the first time for the other two families. Our family had stopped by for drinks outside a couple years prior. I’ve been wanting to come back for a meal and am glad we were able to experience it with our friends. We hiked the Gorner Gorge from where we were staying in town and were ready for lunch when we arrived at the restaurant. The setting is beautiful and unreal. Service was excellent and we enjoyed our selections. Definitely made great memories with our friends in Blatten.

Restaurant located on track n.50 going down from Furi to Zermatt. Very very friendly welcome, smiling people. We ate inside, the place is small but not cramped. It's still pleasant to eat there, especially since the atmosphere is adorable and even romantic with a small candle on the table for a midday meal. The cheese mountain dishes were a treat and I recommend the apple fritters for dessert!

Had a lovely walk to the restaurant keeping to the high hiking trail rather than the piste route suggested by Google maps. Food and drink were excellent and the staff friendly and didn't hurry us. Lovely view up the piste to the Matterhorn from the terrace

The food is still excellent, but since Leandro passed on to the next generation, the restaurant has somehow been missing heart and soul.

This was a perfect spot to enjoy a delicious apfelstrudel on the deck after doing the Gorner Schlucht and before hiking back to town. Gorgeous scenery, great food and wonderful service. Loved it.

This mountain restaurant has turned out to be a gem. The last time I was here was 28 years ago. The place is crumbling and empty. Now I can only strongly recommend every hiker to stop here.

Great view, cold service. Ginger beer on the menu card was indicated as 3 cl, but they only served 2 cl. We only had drinks, but the food looked good. If you believe this review is useful, then please 'like' it.

The best cinnamon ice cream I've ever had!!

Had a good experience with a big crowd of 60 pluss guests in our party. The staff was kind, friendly and welcoming. Did lack some experience in taking multiple orders from each table. Had to wait some time between the different orders. Food was good, salad for starters, lambmeat for main and apfel strudel with cinnamon ice cream.

Exceptional food and view, well worth the small hike from the city center. The mushroom soup is a must try and the fondue was perfect for those who don't enjoy the bitterness from the alcohol because the alcohol is quite mild in this one.

The place was crowded on a Sunday, but the waitresses were quick yet friendly. The rosti was fantastic, and the lemon tart was delicious. The menu had English as well.

Chilled place for a drink and fine food with a magnificent view of the Horn.

Great restaurant and bar on the way down to Matterhorn express. If you are not skiing you can hike up to the restaurant as well. If you want to eat at the restaurant reserve a table in advance for lunch as it gets very busy, especially if the weather is nice the outdoor tables get reserved. There is also a lovely area with lounge chairs next to the bar where you can relax and have drinks. They do a great house ice tea! Lovely stuff, baby friendly! The toilet is in a separate area and there is not changing facilities but the manager/owner is lovely and you can easily change a nappy on the benches inside. The food is lovely, the apfelstrudel was a little too cinamony for our tastes :) Strongly recommend!
