The Omnia in Zermatt

This was the far best stay we ever had in our lives, and trust me we've stayed in well-know 5 star hotels all around the world. Let me start with the exceptional staff, from their greeting till end our journey they were so helpful, caring and attentive. I've never experienced a service this wonderful and felt care towards their customers. Not to mention they helped us with all our reservations, picked us up from the train station. Rooms are exceptional, beds are comfy and appealing to the eye. Before visiting, we weren't sure if the hotel design was what we were looking for, after entering our room, we realized that it has its own aura captivating the visitor. Something I can't really explain but need to be experienced. Might be considered as a small gesture but the bourbon in the room was exceptional and we had a glass or two every day after skiing. Made us relax even more and enjoy our time. Breakfast was fantastic, I was looking towards it everyday. My favorite was the avocado egg dish. Yet again, the staff was wonderful. Spa can get crowded but everyone is respectful and makes the experience smooth. Two sauna options with a stream room and an amazing hot tub looking at Matterhorn. Go as early as you can to see the mountain :) Location is fairly easy and in the middle of the city, you can walk to ski lifts and restaurants within 5-10 minutes. Being above everything else makes it a bit more special with an unforgettable view and calm good night sleep. Can't wait to go back. Hopefully Omnia will be our yearly stop. Very very nice hotel to stay with . Enjoy so much of almost everything. The service is very good , breakfast selection not a lot but all did well and exquisitely well presentation. I like the balcony the best to overseeing Matterhorn and the village. The spa is nice too. There are flower steam bath , herbal steam bath and bio sauna too. The unique design of the hotel make u feel like staying in a cave and yet the design so modern and flashy. They surprised me with balloons and cake for my bday really nice and thoughtful of them. Will definitely come back again if given a chance . Location is good too surrounded by eatery places and grocery shopping too. Only 10 mins walk to the station to take the train to Matterhorn alps.

Excellent service, unforgettable stay It was just fantastic. What made this stay truly memorable was the outstanding service we experienced from the entire team. From the moment we were picked up from the train station we felt like very valued guests. The front desk staff was extremely professional and accommodating. They made our stay unforgettable and I can fully recommend OMNIA.

Absolutely worth every dollar!!!! My girlfriend and I booked for 1 night at the end of our ski trip to Zermatt and we had the most restful time. From the shuttle pickup and baggage assistance, to the hospitable staff, to the welcome drinks on the patio, the luxurious spa and pool, speedy room service, the comfortable beds, and the delicious restaurant….every moment was A+. We have both stayed at many luxury hotels in the US and internationally, and The Omnia ranks towards the top in terms of views and vibes. I especially love the size of the hotel; with only 20some rooms, every space (gym, restaurant, patio, spa / pool) was nearly empty and never too busy. Thank you so much to Marcel, Cedric, Anna, and the entire staff for making our stay so luxurious, fun, and memorable. We will be back!!!

This hotel is a real experience from the unique entrance which leads through a tunnel to the elevator that takes you to the unique reception where one of the nicest staff I have ever seen is waiting for you! The hotel is exceptional in every respect, but what stands out most of all is the exceptional service. The restaurant is also outstanding and we ate there great things of the highest standard. This hotel deserves more than 5 stars :) Living there is a real "experience"

What truly sets this hotel apart is its unparalleled service. The staff are not only friendly and welcoming but also incredibly accommodating. No request is too big or too small - they go above and beyond to ensure comfort and satisfaction throughout your stay. Whether it was arranging transportation, recommending local attactions, arranging ski passes, board waxing, or fulfilling any special requests, they always responded with a resounding 'yes.' Without a doubt, this hotel has set the bar high for hospitality in Zermatt. I cannot recommend it enough to anyone seeking an exceptional experience in this beautiful destination.

Rating the restaurant. This is our third trip to Zermatt and we have eaten at most all of the restaurants by this point, it’s safe to say. We ate at the Omnia for dinner twice because we liked it so much the first time! Hands down our favorite restaurant in Zermatt. It’s definitely not a casual restaurant — our beautiful dinners were ~three hours long, multiple courses, wine pairings, etc. So if you’re looking for fast and easy, prioritize another spot. But if you want a special evening, or just a really good dinner with great service, this is the place! (We had the vegetarian tasting menu — excellent.) Note to the hotel: THANK YOU for putting the restaurant on OpenTable. This is so convenient and we really appreciate your doing this.

ATEMBERAUBEND! Ich durfte ein unvergessliches Wochenende in THE OMNIA geniessen. Mein Partner machte mir einen Heiratsantrag und wurde von dem ganzen Team mit ganzem Herzen unterstützt. Es rührte mich zu Tränen, wie sich die ganze Belegschaft zusammen mit mir/uns gefreut hat. So authentisch und herzlich fühlten wir uns noch nie in einem Hotel aufgehoben. Ein besonderes Lob gilt dem jungen Sommelier. Seine Weinauswahl, wie die amüsanten Geschichen zu den Weinen war eine richtige Bereicherung. Wir bedanken uns für ein Wochenende voller Überraschungen. Wir haben eine Woche Ende März im The Omnia verbracht. Der Aufenthalt war vom Abholservice bis Check-out einwandfrei, einfach fantastisch. Übertrifft alle Träume! Man wird mit dem hoteleigenen E-Shuttle abgeholt, währenddessen das Team informiert wird, welche Gäste bald anreisen werden. Bis man antrifft, ist schon alles vorbereitet zum Check-in. Herr Eckert, der Hoteldirektor, stellt sich persönlich vor und lebt eine "open Office Philosophie" - seine Bürotür ist immer offen für alle. Die Rezeption Mitarbeiter machen das Check-in zum Erlebnis, wobei man in der Lobby gesetzt wird und mit Champagner und kleinen Snacks verwöhnt wird. Danach wird ein Hotelrundgang gemacht, alles wird gezeigt und erklärt. Das Hotel mit 30 Zimmern hat die perfekte, familiäre Grösse. Man wird ab dem ersten Tag überall mit Namen begrüsst und alles wird gemerkt - wenn man z.B. den Aperol Spritz mit Röhrli trinkt, oder man stilles Wasser trinkt, usw. Die Village Suite ist sehr geräumig (72 qm) mit Ankleidebereich und 2 Badezimmer. Das minimalistische Stil setzt sich überall durch, viele Holz- und Steinelemente sind zu finden. Der Blick ist wundervoll 40m über Zermatt an die ganze Stadt. Die Sonne scheint vormittags auf den Balkon. Als Überraschung: Hotelbesitzer Herr Schärer ist Whiskey-Fan, das Bourbon ist daher inkludiert und wird immer vom Housekeeping aufgefüllt. Das Frühstück wurde wegen Corona genial gelöst: man muss am Abend davor am Zettel ankreuzen, um welche Uhrzeit man hingeht und was man sich an kalten Sachen wünscht. So werden Wartezeiten vermieden. Beim Tisch kann man dann warme Speisen und Kaffee/Tee bestellen, und natürlich auch die kalte Sachen neubestellen, wenn gewünscht. Das Essen vom 16 Punkten Restaurant war stets frisch, geschmacksvoll, gute Portionen und sehr schön auf dem Teller hergerichtet. Das Konzept beim Dinner ist auf vegetarischem Basis, man kann aber zu allen Gerichten Fisch oder Fleisch bestellen. Die Preise im Restaurant sind ziemlich gesalzen, es ist aber Wert und ist einfach nur empfehlenswert. Schnitzel und Zwiebelsuppe unbedingt probieren! Der Spa Bereich ist dem Hotel entsprechend klein, aber vollkommen ausreichend und perfekt ausgestattet. Der absolute Hit ist der outdoor Whirlpool mit Matterhorn Sicht. Man kann auch Getränke zum Pool bestellen und einfach geniessen. Skikarten kann man sich ganz gemütlich an der Rezeption besorgen (ausser Halbtageskarten), mit vielen Insider Tipps von den stets freundlichen und professionellen Mitarbeiter. Zum Skilift muss man den Bus oder Taxi nehmen. Als Abschluss möchte ich noch einmal die schon lange nicht mehr erlebte Freundlichkeit von allen Mitarbeitern erwähnen. Der Service, was vom jungen Team geleistet wird, ist erstklassig. Deswegen möchte ich keine spezifische Namen hervorheben, da alle Angestellte im Hotel exzellent sind. Ein grosses Lob an das gesamte Team - und auf ein hoffentlich baldiges Wiedersehen!

An experience close to my heart I will never forget! The friendly, generous and attentive Team second to none, the jaw dropping culinary journey offered by the awarded restaurant Chef and his very knowledgable crew, the unique and exceptional location towering the picturesque town of Zermatt, and the majestic views of the Matterhorn and surrounding snow capped mountains enjoyable from the beautifully designed room, balcony, terrace or SPA: my top reasons to look forward to my next stay in The Omnia in Zermatt. Once more my personal thank you and gratitude to everyone to have allowed me to enjoy a little parenthesis during this global pandemic. Wish you all the best until we see each other again :)

I stayed two nights at the Omnia this week. I chose it because of the great reviews... and I must say the hotel lives up to them all. It is a truly exceptional place with impeccable service, the most friendly and professional staff, outstanding food, accommodation and attention to detail that doesn’t compare to anything else. From the genuinely warm welcome to the equally personal farewell my stay was nothing but a delight. I truly enjoyed the atmosphere, the amazing spa experience ( the hot tub with a Matterhorn view especially) and a great massage (even reasonably priced for Switzerland). Enjoy the fine welcome bourbon (I didn’t even know I’d like bourbon until now), the extraordinary location (central yet up on the rock) with a great view over Zermatt and enjoy the feeling of being special while staying there, because that is what this Hotel is able to accomplish. A one of a kind experience and definitely more than one reason to return. I can only give five stars but it deserves an extra star to truly rate it. A.

Definitely one of our favorite hotels in the world. A truly special place for countless reasons including unparalleled service from the moment you check-in with a glass of champagne on the terrace overlooking Matterhorn until checkout via “golf cart taxi” escort. I will never forget our phenomenal, spacious room with direct Matterhorn views & incredible balcony where I found myself sketching the breathtaking scene with the room’s crayons - just one of the unique and inspiring amenities offered - while noshing on the most delicious room service. I still dream about the magical indoor/outdoor pool & spa setting, and the exquisite daily breakfast buffet. Thank you to The Omnia for the most memorable introduction to Switzerland; we can’t wait to return & highly recommend everyone experience this absolutely spectacular hotel.

A pesar que no he estado en otros hoteles en Zermatt, me atrevería a decir que es el mejor hotel del pueblo. Soy una persona muy exigente que siempre encuentra algún fallo y en este caso no puedo encontrar nada que no me haga feliz. El hotel está situado en el centro del pueblo, las vistas que tiene tanto de Zermatt como de Matterhorn son preciosas, el personal del hotel es encantador, se nota que le ponen mucho amor en todo lo que hacen, el trato es inmejorable. El hotel además tiene Spa (con vistas) y Gimnasio. Recomiendo si reservas Suite desayunar en la habitación pues aunque bajes al restaurante el desayuno es a la carta, así que hacerlo en la habitación cómodamente con vistas es un + También recomiendo almenos un día de la estancia cenar en el restaurante y probar el menú sorpresa, es delicioso y se hace muy divertido, déjate sorprender, vale muchísimo la pena, la carta de vinos y de champagne es también una experiencia inolvidable. Si eres fan del Wiskey, siéntate una tarde en la biblioteca del Hotel a probar las variedades que ofrecen. En la habitación puedes disfrutar también de un delicioso Bourbon hecho especialmente para el hotel. El precio del hotel incluye también que te vengan a recojer cómodamente a la estación con un coche eléctrico, si hace buen tiempo recomiendo pedir que te vengan a recoger las cosas y dar un paseo hasta el hotel. Alojarse en The Omnia es una experiencia que recomiendo almenos una vez en la vida y si te lo puedes permitir simplemente cada vez que visites Zermatt. Último consejo: Si te parece caro este alojamiento, en temporada baja las habitaciones están casi a mitad de precio y además hay menos gente en el hotel así que puedes disfrutar del Spa casi para ti solo. Estoy deseando volver a Zermatt y volver a alojarme en este fantástico hotel. The Omnia, nos vemos en verano❤️

We have been to many hotels, but never have we received such a warm and attentive welcome. After a tour of the grounds, hand-written welcome and birthday cards awaited us in our hygiene-sealed room. Snacks, bourbon, bathrobes and quality slippers in our clothes and shoe sizes were complimentary to our stay while a member of the kitchen staff delivered a birthday cake in person. The spa facilities were exceptional while we could describe our dining experience solely as incredible. The Jerusalem artichoke amuse bouche and the dinkel-pear bread were simply divine. The on-ground chef is a craftsman. Our stay was made so memorable with the help of the reception and waiting staff who were all knowledgeable, friendly and anticipated our every need.

Ich war mit meiner Freundin dieses Wochenende im Omnia. Ich habe noch nie so einen Super Service von A bis Z erlebt. Von der Begrüssung bis hin zur Verabschiedung wurden wir so herzhaft und persönlich behandelt. Esse, Zimmer, Lage und Aussicht genial! Kann ich allen nur empfehlen und würde sofort wieder buchen.

Nous avons eu le bonheur de séjourner trois nuits et quatre jours à l’Omnia. Une immersion dans un cadre inoubliable car tout y est moderne, rigoureux et convivial. Loin du cérémonial compassé d’un cinq étoiles figé dans ses traditions, l’Omnia offre une expérience renouvelée de confort, à la hauteur du cadre merveilleux de Zermatt. Avec le Cervin majestueux en ligne de mire, on atteint des sommets en matière d’expérience hôtelière. Ce n’est donc pas pour rien que l’Omnia domine la station, perché sur son rocher. Il domine notre classement des meilleurs hôtels jamais visités. Nous tombons sous le charme des lieux, dont l’agencement vous immerge dans un chez soi idéal au coin d’un feu. Partout, le design s’affiche avec cohérence entre la chaleur du bois-refuge et l’élégance froide du granit-immémorial. Un tour dans les rayonnages de la bibliothèque du lobby, avec son choix d’ouvrages d’art, suffit à vous convaincre de la sincérité de la démarche et de son exigence. En harmonie avec ce cadre d’exception, le personnel attentif, discret et souriant veille à ce que nos moindres attentes soient comblées. Parmi d’autres points forts, ne manquez pas le SPA avec piscine intérieure avec bassin extérieur, le jacuzzi et sa vue sur la station et sur LA montagne! Après vous être -trop- attardés dans le bassin extérieur, retrouvez vos esprits dans les hammams et le sauna, qui vous réchaufferont de l’intérieur. Mention spéciale pour le restaurant et son menu expérience, avec un choix de vins raffinés et inédits (et de jus exceptionnels pour l’option sans alcool) accordés parfaitement aux plats inventifs et délicieux. Et si vous avez le privilège de tester la suite Omnia, ce n’est rien de moins que le paradis sur terre, qui vous attend. Et le paradis, c’est au-delà des mots et forcément un arrachement de le quitter. Si bien qu’on se promet d’y retourner.

Exceptionnel séjour! Un hôtel qui mérite ces étoiles avec un service sur-mesure. Tout ceci dans une ambiance chaleureuse, inspirante, et design avec possibilité de profiter du spa et de la vue sur le Cervin. Une vrais expérience!

Eine 5 Sterne Rezension entspricht gem. Google einer "sehr guten" Bewertung. Für das Omnia schlichtweg unfair. Vom ersten Telefonkontakt, hin zur Anreise, zur Begrüssung, zum Essen, ins Zimmer, über das Personal - ich wüsste schlichtweg nicht, wie man die Messlatte noch höher setzen könnte. Was das Team (und hier ist bedingungslos jedes einzelne Teammitglied gemeint) von Herrn Eckert hier abliefert, ist absolute Spitzenklasse. Um bei Kunden "Wow-Effekte" zu erzielen benötigt es besondere Anstrengungen. Das Team im Omnia erzielt genau diese mit einer Leichtigkeit und Selbstverständlichkeit, dass man sich regelmässig baff, schmunzelnd und mit etwas Gänsehaut fragt, wie so was geht. Mein Beileid an die Konkurrenz aber meine Messlatte liegt von nun an höher. Liebe Omnia-Crew - wir ziehen unseren Hut!

Der Erste Eindruck ist der, der zählt...diese Worte kamen mir spontan nach der ersten Kontaktaufnahme mit dem The Omnia in den Sinn. Ein Spruch der alten Schule, welcher aber in der heutigen Hotellerie mehr denn je gewichtet. Im The Omnia: Schlicht weg perfekt! Von der Reservation über die Anfahrt alles sehr angenehm. Besonders zu erwähnen ist auch der äusserst unkomplizierte und freundliche Fahrer vom hoteleigenen Auto. Die Ankunft nach dem Skitag warmherzig und aufmerksam. Das Gepäck schon auf dem Zimmer und die vielen Details liebevoll ins Szene gesetzt. "Für mich sind Emphatie, Demut und die Liebe zu Menschen die höchsten Werte" dies die Worte des Direktors Christian Eckert. Kein Wunder also, dass The Omnia nicht nur ein Hotel ist, sondern viel mehr ein Spirit welcher im ganzen Team spürbar ist. Dezenter Luxus. Unaufdringlich, herzlich und äusserst professionell. Das Frühstück lässt trotz Corona keine Wünsche offen und die Bestellung war fehlerfrei und in bester Qualität. Mein erster Eindruck hat sich also durch den ganzen Aufenthalt hindurch bestätigt - nein, sogar übertroffen. Unser Aufenthalt war vergänglich, doch die vielen schönen Erinnerungen bleiben für immer. Mein erster Aufenthalt in Zermatt war unvergesslich und dies nicht nur wegen der spektakulären Aussicht auf das Matterhorn, welches man aus fast aus jedem Winkel des Omnias geniesst! Nach einem herzlichen Empfang konnten wir die Sonne und das Bergpanorama bei einem Glas Champagner auf der Terrasse zelebrieren und der Stadtstress war innert Minuten vergessen. Unser Aufenthalt im The Omnia war Entspannung pur. Das junge Team war nicht nur äusserst professionell, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit (so wie man es in einem 5-Sternen Hotel erwartet), sondern auch sehr sympathisch und freundlich. Kein Wunsch blieb offen und der hochklassige Service hat uns durchs Band begeistert. Ich möchte hier speziell Marcel Schäfer und sein Team im Restaurant erwähnen, welche uns vom Frühstück bis zum Dinner kulinarisch verwöhnt haben und keine Mühen gescheut haben, um uns den perfekten Tag zu bescheren. Wir haben sogar zwei Mal im Restaurant zu Abend gegessen, so toll war es! :-) Wenn wir das nächste mal nach Zermatt kommen, dann bestimmt wieder ins The Omnia. Herzliche Dank!

In diesem Hotel wird einfach alles grossgeschrieben. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, man wird begrüsst und behandelt als ob man bereits seit Jahren Stammgast ist. Die Zimmer sind grosszügig und sehr schön eingerichtet. Dass es sauber war muss ich kaum erwähnen, dies ist einem bereits beim betretten des Hotels bewusst. Und auch das Essen, Abend wie auf Frühstück, war äusserst lecker und ebenfalls ein Erlebniss da die Küche genau weiss was sie macht und sehr auf Regionale Produkte geachtet wird. Alles in allem waren wir nicht das letzte mal da und ich kann es nur von ganzem Herzen weiterempfehlen.

Der Aufenthalt im Omnia war nicht nur Ferien für mich es war Ferien für meine Seele Von der Ankunft bis hin zur Abreise war alles Perfekt. Wenn du ins Zimmer kommst warten frische Muffins auf dich😍. Im Zimmer löuft zu beginn klassische Musik. Im Restaurant wird dir die Serviette beim verlassen des Tisches ersetzt. Türen werden offen gehalten, Jacken angezogen etc. Diese kleinen Dinge begeistern. Chapeau!

Eté comme automne nous avons passé de superbes séjours au calme dans ce nid d’aigle à l’equart de la rue principal qui est pourtant à 2 minutes juste en dessous. Du spa au restaurant en passant par les chambres et la disponibilité sans faille du Team de Christian Eckert tous les ingrédients étaient réunis pour que nous prolongions même notre séjour. A trés bientot l’idéal pour se ressourcer loin des foules en cette periode chamboulée

Swiss hospitality at its best. Our long weekend at The Omnia has been made an incredible and memorable experience thanks to all the employees - from staff to hotel manager himself - who treated us with the utmost consideration. Hotel amenities are incredible, rooms are spick and span, spacious and very comfortable. The hotel benefits from an incredible location in the heart of Zermatt with astonishing views. The restaurant was also an incredible gourmet experience. I highly recommend !
