Great restaurant for beer and burger fans. The service was friendly and quick. We didn't have to wait long for our food either. However, it is recommended to reserve a table as the restaurant is usually busy.

It took a long time before we could order the first beer and the stout seemed to have been drafted with CO2, so it didn't have the typical, creamy foam.

Great selection of different beers! I would like you to serve the Berrylicious to the song Fergalicious by Fergie. That would take the drinking experience to a new level!

A very cozy restaurant. The staff is polite and friendly. It's just a shame, even though the restaurant is open until 12:30 a.m., the staff cleans up and puts up the chairs from 12:00 a.m. onwards.

Lovely pub with an amazing location. You can find one of the best burgers in the city here. Besides, the most diverse beer menu is also here. The team is quiet friendly.

The beer selection (also non-alcoholic) was great. However, the burgers were very disappointing for the price - they were too high to eat properly with your hands (or at all). The taste is also rather bland and disappointing. For over 25.00 per burger I expect more.

Ended up here spontaneously. Five people with hunger and thirst from meat to vegetarian and vegan. Every need was met here in the best possible way. Great beer selection, great burgers available in many variations, very nice and courteous service. Uncomplicated seat selection/allocation despite the advanced hour. Will definitely come back. We recommend.

Very nice beer and pub food place. They offer good food like burger and nachos. Over 10 beers on tap, all local or at least from smaller Swiss breweries. Also a nice bottle and can selection. Service is fast and very friendly.

Brilliant find just alongside the Chapel Bridge! Came in from the freezing cold to enjoy hot drinks, beer AND cider and all we're great! The service was excellent, warm and friendly and very helpful! We had the Swiss cheese and meat sharing platter with a side of paprika chips and it was delicious, but the burgers coming out look absolutely fantastic and everyone was raving about them! Highly recommended, very reasonably priced and well worth spending some time in here!

Great atmosphere but the food was mediocre and the service was extremely slow. They were busy and not staffed right, one person for all of upstairs leaves you waiting for a long time to order. Once you did order, the food and drinks came quick.

Disastrous organization! Table reserved for dining 1.5 month earlier...table was not available. I had specially ordered/reserved a gift, but unfortunately I forgot it. A lovely birthday has turned into a nightmare!

Good place for (craft) beer. I was a bit disappointed because they had a lot of beer from bigger breweries on, e.g. Locher. I was hoping for more beer from nano breweries and was also hoping for a more diverse selection of beer styles. But all in all still a good place and maybe on another visit they have a different selection on tap!

A nice place with great beer. The burgers were top class and fairly priced. When it came to beer, it was mixed: although there are really good beers on the menu, for up to 9.50 per beer it should be 5dl and not just 4dl. Overall, a great restaurant in a great location.

A nice little hidden gem! Bierliebe is a small, friendly bar just next to Chapel Bridge. They have a huge range of craft beers to try. Nice to be somewhere where they're not just selling a load of IPAs! We had some really good fruit wheat beers.

The three of us ate three different bugs. All three were completely over salted, especially the pulled pork burger. All three felt unwell for hours. We also had to wait almost an hour for the burgers.

Nice place. Unfortunately, join in with the current fashion of forcing customers to pay tips. Tipping has been included in Switzerland for almost 50 years and employers are encouraged to pay reasonable wages.

Burger is recommended but just don't take take-away if you have to go somewhere.. >30min and staff want to discuss why it's taking so long (no one is interested if the last train is about to leave).. but still polite

A great restaurant with an excellent selection of beers located directly on the Reuss. The Classic Hotdog was excellent. Unfortunately, the waitress mixed up the beers we were served and we didn't know which beer we were drinking.

Great service and atmosphere! The servers were always checking on us. Great all around vibes upstairs. We only had beer which was okay but the food looked great! They have outdoor seating and an accessible bathroom on the first floor.

Food good, but price too high. Paid 120 CHF for three people (each citizen and 1 beer). As a non-Swiss person, this is of course steep. Sat upstairs and it was extremely hot in the room.

Bought the "friends burger" which ended up being the worst hamburger of my life. A soggy mishmash of flavors and ingredients that don't work together, and somehow undercooked but not quite raw. As an American I've had a lot of hamburgers and I can say this was terribly disappointing given the other reviews here, and especially because it was around 26 CHF. They also want 5 CHF for tap water, which is ridiculous. Staff was unfriendly and slow (15 minutes to take my order) which seems par for the course in Switzerland so far. I'm only giving 2 stars because the sweet potato fries were actually quite good.

What an amazing restaurant! The staff was great, they were so friendly and joyful it really was contagious. The atmosphere is great, directly by the river outside with an inviting inside. The amount of different beer you can try is very good, if you want to go through all of them then you have to order the 1dl. The food is great, the burgers are juicy and flavourful

Food and beer was fantastic! Service was kind of slow at times as it seemed they may have been understaffed, but all the servers we're extremely nice. The cheeseburger was great!

The view, the food, and the beers are great. You can tell they are short staffed but the customer service is friendly and as quick as they can be. The nachos, bbq hot dog, and burger were great!

Basically always happy to come to this restaurant. The food is good and so is (surprise) the beer selection. Even if there are mainly tourists on the Reuss, the visit is worth it. There is a deduction because of the (usually) very long waiting times for food, beer and even the bill. The staff also brought us the wrong ones 🍺 several times. Often rather unprofessional but the staff is still friendly. There is also a deduction because of the invoice. A large beer is (only) 0.4 DL, which is very on the limit given the prices charged. Even if they are specialty beers, it's hard to see what I'm still willing to pay.

Food great. When it comes ;-) Location of the restaurant is great Price performance is okay Staff keep forgetting to bring the order. But the staff is friendly and in a good mood. The wrong drinks were delivered twice on the same evening. We just had to wait a long time for the beer. If you have a subsequent appointment, it is best to ask for the invoice immediately. We waited the longest for this one I asked 4 times, the restaurant wasn't full and there was nothing going on outside due to bad weather.

This evening, I have had the pleasure of visiting the establishment known as "Bierliebe & Friends" and I must say, it was quite the experience. The coffee was simply divine and the atmosphere was nothing short of delightful. The ambiance was quite charming and the decor was tastefully done. The staff was quite hospitable and made me feel right at home. I was quite impressed with the level of attention to detail that was put into every aspect of the establishment. It is no surprise that "Bierliebe & Friends" has earned quite the reputation for being one of the finest coffee shops in the land. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who is looking for a cozy and inviting place to enjoy a cup of coffee.

This is my favorite place in Lucern to grab a drink or a tasty bite. Head up stairs to snag a seat overlooking the river and the Kappellenbrücke. The selection of beer is great and the burgers and hot dogs hit the spot. I showed up in the middle of the afternoon and was able to order food.

It was really great! The staff was very friendly and the food was incredibly tasty. I'll be back

Nice place by the river. We had the vegetarian versions of the burger and the hotdog. The burger was a really dry chick pea patty, but the rest of the ingredients were tasty; the hotdog was much better. The beers were really nice; but the food took 40min to arrive... Bit of a mixed experience.

Beer bar with Swiss brewing art...service okay...very loud inside when there are a lot of people...prices are high for the city (you pay for the location...)...we made reservations for dinner and still 1 hour!!! Waited for our burgers with fries!!! No apology, nothing... When paying, the waitress asks: "Was everything good?"... I replied: "Food good, but waiting an hour is not possible!"... The waitress's answer: "Yes, we have a lot to do"...I'll give my answer like this....

Best place in Lucerne to drink local beers from microbreweries. The burgers are also great and the view from the upper sock of the lake and the city center is simply fantastic.

A staff member comes out and takes your order. Have a hot dog!

Great beer and greaaaat burgers. I got the burger of the month which was the Nacho burger. So so good! Lovely staff and a great atmosphere. The tables by the front windows upstairs make for a wonderful view while enjoying great food and beers!

Very tasty burgers and beer. A lot of people, so it's a bit long to wait for food. But it's worth it. Dark beer will remind Ukrainians of the famous White Night, I highly recommend it.
