The restaurant has a more classically subtle atmosphere. Restrained decor, narrow seating, short reservation times. Expensive but the best Japanese Restaurant in Zurich

The place is welcoming. Unlucky for the parking but given the location it is also obvious. The welcome is professional. The service is quick and everyone has a smile. It offers a wide range of gastronomic dishes with excellent quality ingredients. All courses, hot and cold, were very good and well presented. Definitely worth a visit and even more than one. Price/quality within the norm, certainly not exaggerated.

The staff is friendly, but not attentive at all; I observed that several times through out the years. E.g. they do not pass by to ask if you would like to order any drinks, you need to wait quite long or even ask several times for the bill. Small things which should be given for the price you pay in this restaurant. Unfortunately, the food is very good and fresh, which is why I still visited the restaurant - otherwise, I would definitely skip.

This was a dinner at the highest level of enjoyment. Definitely the best sushi I've ever eaten. I tried real, fresh wasabi for the first time and it's actually a world of difference from the product we know. The starters, gyoza and squid with yuzu-wasabi sauce were just to die for. The service was very attentive and friendly. Be sure to reserve in advance, the restaurant is full every evening, and rightly so.

The very best Sushi I have had in Switzerland! Bimi is decorated in a refreshingly down to earth way. The focus is on the food. I have been a regular patron for over 15 years, and it has gotten progressively better. I like being surprised by new ideas that are steeped in tradition. Eat here, you will not be disappointed. (Make sure to book in advance. This place is no longer a secret)

This is the best Japanese restaurant I have found in Zürich. The sushi is fresh and perfectly cut and presented. Gyoza are tasty and the service is always friendly. My only issue is remembering to book. They are always full :(

For a place that serves seafood in zurich, this place is definitely worth mentioning. We mentioned to the waiter that we didn't have a lot of time and the food came quite quickly. This place is probably one of the best sushi-fixes you can get here in Zurich.

One of the best Japanese places in Zurich. Their Sushi set is amazing. We do take out and dine-in all the time. You need to make reservations as it gets very crowded for both lunch and dinner time. Our favorite is Ebisu sushi set take out :)

The best Japanese restaurant in Zurich, hands down. Authentic and fresh, the food is unreal. We had the sushi platter and the Sukiyaki was unreal. It is evident that the owners and staff have a deep appreciation for Japan and the quality synonymous with it.

The atmosphere is great and the taste is authentic and superb! We enjoyed every dishes that we ordered. Ginza Sushi Selections have a great varieties of amazing sushi’s combination, definitely worth trying! The dessert with fried mochi and ice cream is the best ending of the night you can have! But there are rooms of improvements ( for example the uncooked shrimp is not super fresh)

Easily the best and most authentic Japanese restaurant in the whole of Zurich. The fish quality is very good. They also offer dishes you cannot find in other Japanese restaurants in Switzerland. The service is always incredibly friendly. Overall one of my favourite restaurants.

The food is more or less authentic, but the tables are to small for two people eating shabu shabu, the salad sauce was strange and the service was just ok for the price.

The sashimi for the starter tasted good. Likewise the hot pot with seafood and chicken. Instead of rice, which is added to the hot pot at the end, we used udon. All in all, a successful dinner with friends.

Very well eaten! Super nice and competent service, nice atmosphere, not too many tables! No disturbing music. Price-performance ratio is right, large portions! The only thing we didn't like was the avocado-salmon salad (a lot! leaf lettuce with an indefinable, bland sauce, parmesan on top, which didn't really fit in with the rest, but hardly any avocado or salmon in it! Not recommended!) and ATTENTION for all Gfrörlis: There's a draft at the window. Otherwise nothing to complain about, we'll be happy to come back.

Extremely disappointing! Not as it used to be years ago 👎 1. Menu has been reduced significantly. On their website they list the old menu, with far more options, but once you arrive, you’re up for a surprise. 2. Food quality and taste far below standards. Sushi rice less than optimal, with an unpleasant consistency, nori around the sushi came like a sheet of paper instead of being moisture.

They serve highqualitiy food but they lack in the organisational aspect and the empolyee seems to hide behind the staff. How so? Other than many restaurants bimi doesnt offer online reservation which in my opinion is a big leap away from phonereservations, cmon we‘re in the 21th century. Also their website seems to not have updated in recent years, it gives me an html-opensourced-yahoo-2010-vibe. The latter I experienced in email exchange. They responded quite fast, which I really appreciated but it was so inpersonal. They (I say they cuz I dont know who in the world I wrote to) ended the mail with greetings from the bimi team. It felt like talking to a unknown matter. Other than that Bimi used to be me goto restaurant for japanese food. It‘s still great but please change this attitude of not taking individual responsibility which occurs quite often in japanese working culture. (Trust me, I have experience)

We had a good time here. The chicken and the kingfish cheeks for our kids were good. But the Sushi und especially the tuna sashimi were amazing. The tuna was of outstanding quality and at perfect temperature. The one thing the could improve is the rice. As well the service was friendly and helpful. Also the price to quality ratio seem very reasonable to me.

It was booked early for the evening. When we arrived with 5 people, they said we hadn't booked. So we were only allowed to stay for 1 hour. The food was ok, only for an expensive authentic Japanese restaurant you don't expect disposable chopsticks like take a way. Out of 3 sushi the last one came last 15 minutes and with a pot dish for 5 people there wasn't a spoon to eat the bouillon. When drinks were ordered with 2 water, 1 beer and 1 glass of wine, the 2 cola ordered were only given afterwards even though everything was together before the menu was ordered. No Asian service available. Where is the authenticity and creates the flair. Conclusion: there are better Nippon restaurants

Amazing! I lived several years in Japan and think that this is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Zurich. Highly recommendable. Reservation should be made before-hand.

We came here as a big group, so we pre-ordered our food. Everything came smoothly from the starters to main dish. The quality of the sushi was excellent! I usually don't like tuna, but when i tried the tuna here in Bimi, Wooow that was really gooood. I also had the unagi special as a starter, i was skeptic at first, i tried it anyway and good thing i did. The Unagi tasted so authentic! Highly recommended.

Best sushi you will find in all of Zurich! Very authentic and the fish is always extremly fresh. They have a wide variety of Fish and delicious specials. I recommend the grilled eel as a starter and then a wide variety of sushi. The drinks are all great too and as a dessert I can recommend the sweet potatoe puree!

🙏🏻 Always a real pleasure! Japanese food lovers are right here being served with traditional, delicious meals as also more commonly known Japanese dishes. A must visit especially during these times as windows are wide open and you can even sit outside if you wish.

Great service and more importantly sushi! everything is gorgeously presented and tastes wonderful which is worth the price. Id recommend making a reservation as it is quite popular and walk ins could be turned down. For a less expensive trip the udon noodle soup bowls are very filling and delicious alternative too handmade sushi rolls which can be a little bit more pricey.

You can enjoy authentic Japanese food. The a la carte dishes, sukiyaki, shabu-shabu, and sushi were all authentic and delicious. For alcohol, I often order Kirin beer and sake.

These days, visits to restaurants are rather rare due to the pandemic and lunch out was special for that reason alone. The food at Bimi was a real highlight. We ordered the Bento Box Special and we got surprised with a variety of dishes of excellent quality. The restaurant is close to the opera and Bellevue and the interior is kept very minimal. I would love to come back here to enjoy a high-quality Japanese cuisine.

Pricy, but quality is great. Ambiente is modern, however personally, I'd prefer a bit more japanese flair in the place.

Das Sushi und die heissen japanische Gerichte sind wundervoll. Gute Portionen. Ich nehme immer die Sushi/Sashimi Platte die hat so viel verschiedenes, und man schmeckt es weist eine höhere Qualität wie andere Sushi Orten, besonders die Ketten (obwohl ich die auch sehr mag) Der Fisch schmeckt besser und ist wunderbar zart, fast wie Butter in der Konsistenz. Ser eingelegte Ingwer ist mild und schmeckt sehr frisch. Eine Vorspeise mit Schweinebauch war auch besonders lecker, extrem zart. Tolle Glace Sorten. Grosse Sake auswahl, kenne mich hier zwar nicht aus und frage immer nach eine Empfehlung vom Kellner
