The lovely trilingual Serena was the lovely waitress that accompanied us through the best lunch we have had in a long time. The creative food, top notch quality, beautiful lakeside sitting and great ambiance made the whole thing a dream. We will back!

A relaxed star restaurant with a successful sharing concept: you order many (mainly vegetarian) tapas-like dishes, with meat or fish as an option. The service was excellent, we felt completely comfortable.

Yesterday I was at Birdy's with a colleague. Our expectations were more than exceeded. We had the “BIRDY’S CHOICE ‘Sharing is Love’” without meat or fish. Starting with the service, to the drinks, to the food. Everything was sensational. I can only recommend the restaurant. Give it a try too😉

We had a great surprise menu to share. Countless courses with very tasty snacks. Simply great :-) Very attentive service - always at the right time. We really enjoyed the visit and would love to come back.

Been here for NYE 2024. Everything was excellent food, music, service, and the wine pairing was absolutely outstanding - I honestly do not understand the 4.4 review score as this place is far above most establishments in Switzerland. My compliments and will certainly return!

An incredible taste experience in a wonderfully stylish atmosphere with super friendly service. In daylight you have a wonderful view of Lake Lucerne. All 10 courses were a culinary highlight; the portions could have been a little more generous. Also very unusual and delicious mocktail! Happy to come back ♡

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Birdy's, a fine dining establishment that left a mixed impression. While the food was certainly enjoyable, it didn't quite reach the heights of culinary ecstasy I was hoping for. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was artful, yet there was a certain lack of something that left me wanting more. Don't get me wrong; the dishes were prepared with skill and precision, but they didn't quite achieve that "wow" factor I've experienced at other places. What truly set this experience apart, however, was the outstanding service. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted warmly and made to feel like an esteemed guest. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, and their knowledge of the menu was commendable. I appreciate the effort they put into making our lunch special. Interestingly, we were the only guests during lunch service, which made for a remarkably intimate and quiet atmosphere. It almost felt like a private dining experience. This solitude allowed us to engage in conversations without any distractions, something that's increasingly rare in today's bustling restaurant scene. In summary, while the food at Birdy's was undeniably good, it didn't quite exceed my expectations. However, the exceptional service and the unique experience of being the sole patrons at lunch certainly left a positive mark. If you value attentive service and a peaceful dining setting, this restaurant is worth a visit.

Delicious fine dining experience from start to finish! Loved the Homage to Texas Brisket! Maybe could change lounge music to jazz and change utensils in between courses at least? Thanks for a wonderful high end experience!

Great experience. Superbly prepared meals. Everyone can order 2-3 dishes and everyone takes a little bit of everything from the table. Tapas style.

Don't like the place paid 40 fr for 4 sushi and this veggy soup . 5 smaaaall pieces of fish like "tartar" 7 fr.😳 not delicious but extra expensive

I wrote this review on tripadvisor as well. We visited the restaurant on a sunday afternoon in the end of may. It is nicely located near the water with an incredible view. The waitress was really nice and took the time to explain the dishes and how much we should order as we decided to share the dishes to be able to try more of the menu. The food was incredible. Everything tasted so good. The salad ”lattichsalat caesar style” we ordered first was absolutely magical and also the dessert ”dunkles bier”. I would recommend everyone this place even though it is quite expensive. I am a vegetarian but it was no problem for me to eat the food here. :) Would love to visit again.

I once read the bad reviews (which every customer does) and I think they should be treated more respectfully. Even if a slicer of truffles doesn't taste good, you should report this directly to the service staff, only such people have a strong character! You can also correct the error immediately, if there is one. Everything was fine for us and we recommend Birdy's to those looking for new tastes... Really a few surprising moments! Cheers! Very nice menu compositions, great wine selection with a good selection for individual tasting glasses, very friendly, uncomplicated and personable service staff. Thank you for this location - it's nice that there are offers like this in our area.

Great service and creative food.

Was at Birdy's for the second time last Friday. A successful evening from A-Z. We recommend the surprise menu with accompanying drinks. Super delicious food and great drinks that are served with it. Absolutely reasonable price for this quality. We'd love to come back

The menu contains many fine surprises. Simply great. the Ribera del Duiro is very tasty. The attentive service and the beautiful ambience round everything off perfectly. We were there for the sixth time and have never been disappointed.

An impressive kitchen. A true experience.

Birdy's is the first offshoot restaurant from star chef Jeroen Achtien. The menu consists of several sharing plates placed in the middle. In general, the very varied menu is vegetarian, but can also be supplemented with meat and fish. Unfortunately there was no wine accompaniment, but the selection of open wines is very extensive and there is something for every taste. The atmosphere is very cozy and casual. The service was set up, but could still use some training in terms of knowledge of the products and the style of the courses.

Phenomenal ! 5 * food, ambiance, location and staff. Sarina was a brilliant hostess!

Very fine and attentive employees

Very warm staff who know how to do things and are very friendly. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and you immediately feel welcome, it is not that bright - which is quite pleasant. The food is super tasty, a menu that is promising and you won't be disappointed. Price-performance ratio is definitely right for me and you should definitely experience it for yourself. Thank you

Six of us ate here last night 👱‍♀️. It was just fantastically delicious. The menu is simply perfect and surprises with unique flavors. The service was attentive, friendly and personable. The atmosphere is urban, young and relaxed. Price-performance for this level and craftsmanship is more than fair. We'd love to come back. The people, the food, the restaurant, the view - we felt very comfortable here and would love to come back and let Birdy's Choice surprise us.

The four of us had a wonderful meal (more than in the photos, at some point we forgot) with first-class service and fine wine. Everything was excellent, although we found favorites that were even better for us. In our opinion, the combinations with fish or meat can be eaten even better separately, as both vegetarian/vegan and meat taste almost better on their own. Nice concept, try it out with courage and discover your favorite dishes. A real added value in the valley basin

There were three of us at Birdy's. Conclusion: Absolutely recommended! Great concept, unusual food, taste explosions in every course, something for everyone, great location, beautiful decor, great music and atmosphere. An enrichment for fountains. Be sure to stop by, test it out and be amazed :) We'll definitely be happy to come back.

A real added value for fountains. We went to Birdy's by Achtien for lunch and the four of us ordered the entire menu. The food was excellent and the employees were very friendly. You can tell that there is a lot of heart and passion behind the concept. Bravo! We will be back!

We enjoyed a very nice experience at Birdy's! The modern and relaxed concept and the high-quality food are simply fun. It was our first visit, shortly after the restaurant opened and we ordered the menu. We were all thrilled! We will definitely come back and are really looking forward to trying the other, very promising-sounding dishes on the menu. Absolute recommendation!

Unfortunately, a few things didn't work out during our visit last Friday: - Drinks were served without a straw at our place, but at the tables next to us they were served with one (a small thing that can happen and was then corrected). - Amuse bouche was served when 3 out of 4 starters were already on the table - By looking at the next table we realized that a starter was missing. When asked, they said it would be served immediately - but that took a full 15-20 minutes. When we had eaten these, someone from the service came again and wanted to serve us the same starter again... which we then politely declined. - After the main course we were asked whether we wanted dessert immediately or whether we wanted to take a break. We chose the first option and it took around 25 minutes for the dessert to arrive (the next table, who wanted a break, got the dessert at the same time). However, it took another 5 minutes until someone handed over the right cutlery for the dessert. The food was good, not outstanding - but our impression could have been clouded by the service. Too bad or disappointing! We hope this is due to teething problems (the restaurant is still young) and that improvements will be made quickly. The location and the wine selection are impressive - but if you want to play in the desired league, you have to improve a lot. We'll wait until we visit again.

We had dinner with 5 friends last Friday evening. It was a very beautiful and wonderful experience. The reception and the rest of the evening were characterized by great hospitality. The concept of sharing the food with everyone at the table is a great idea. The food was perfect very tasty and exquisite. Everything from A to Z is unique. The decor is beautiful! We will definitely come back. It is an enrichment for the gastronomy in the Talchessel. 🤩

There you are finally! Brunnen had to wait a long time for a gourmet kitchen. The most beautiful village in the world now finally has a wonderful, top-class meeting place. I really hope it works for the village and you.

Was at Birdys for the opening and couldn't be more excited about the concept. The food was incredible and the selection really has something for everyone. I would recommend ordering all of the desserts straight away. You won't be disappointed ;). It certainly won't be my last visit.
