I went there in September 2023 and everything was very good....I'm going back tomorrow evening, so March 31, 2024, and I'm looking forward to being there....Fondue au Top.Louis Chelli

We are 3 tourist students and we were there with the goal of trying out a fondue. We asked for a fondue to share between the three of us and, in the beginning they looked down on us and only allowed us to eat in if we ordered more food. We were almost forced to order meat, which we did not want, but then we managed to order just one salad. When the bill came in, they charged us for TWO salads, which was NOT what we ordered. When we pointed that out, they put on a show and started to yell at us in front of the whole restaurant. It was absolutely indignant and out of place.

The worst restaurant I have been to and I weigh my words! I am talking to you about a most catastrophic establishment. The waitress thinks she's a diva who can't even be spoken to. She sends you to another restaurant, a real social case. The rösti, no taste, not even the taste of potatoes, so don't even think about the spices. A package from Migros, in comparison, is refined 5* gastronomy. The decoration, warm chalet type, is the only thing you can think to put into perspective before realizing that the dust covering it dates from the 1945s. But!!! Experience it, at least this way the rest of the world seems well done when you exit.

Pleasant atmosphere and setting in its "juice", friendly service, the fondue is good, the only downside is that the cheese is really salty. For dessert we opted for raspberry meringue and gruyere cream, everything was impeccably fresh, I recommend…

A typical place, a very pleasant and attentive welcome. Wise advice from non-pedantic staff (unlike other restaurants). The quality of the fondue and meats was up to par. We are so glad we were able to dine at this place. We recommend it and will return there if we return to Geneva.

TO AVOID!!! I HAVE NEVER SEEN THAT!! It's not what it used to be at all, it's changed a lot, the owners and staff are really rude, we were almost insulted because they thought we hadn't ordered enough. Go give money to these people, no thank you!!! THIS WAS MY WORST EXPERIENCE IN A RESTAURANT, IT’S A SHAME THAT THIS RESTAURANT IS STILL OPEN!!! Many other places better than this restaurant. BE CAREFUL OF FALSE COMMENTS THAT SAY IT’S GOOD BECAUSE YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!

Restaurant just incredible the owners are kind the employees let's not even talk about it they are the same kindness as the owners very nice and very friendly atmosphere their menu is just incredible I recommend this restaurant to everyone go for it with your eyes closed

STAY AWAY!!! VThe staff was extremely rude, shouting at us because we ordered 2 fondues for 4 even though we ordered many side dishes and wine as well. We felt attacked and unwelcome so we left instantly. Very shocked by the managers behavior and his wife. 1 star is too much for them. Horrible service. They should mention from the start if there is a minimum per person or table. Wouldn’t recommend this place and I see many similar reviews.

Old brasserie where you eat a fabulous half-and-half fondue in the tradition of Swiss fondue. Very friendly welcome

Please do not go there if you want a family nice dinner. We had the intention of having a nice 1st of the season family fondue, as every year in this nice traditional restaurant. I was there with my young daughter and had to listen ‘les habitués’ until we had to leave. 4 men completely drunk and loud. Couldn’t finish my dinner, of course, I was not having all this with my daughter or even as an adult. The excuse was, sorry , cr sont les habitués’… so if they are ready to stand this themselves, I asked them to warn their clients, mainly if there is a present child, they are supposed to stand for them (clients) all. With or without children, so loud we couldn’t have a proper conversation. I will not say what they were talking about… just mentioned some countries for their travel. If they wanted to do this or that hahahaaa. So horribly oughful. I’m sorry to speak like this about to one of the few and rare original bistro left on town. So please, send your habitués back home before is to late for us all.

We ate what the owner recommended and it turned out to be a good choice. Quick service, small but welcoming environment.

I give 3 stars because there are good and bad and you have to know how to remain objective. I will therefore make my comment in the form of positive/negative. + very good fondue, good taste and texture + quantity of fondue sufficient for 2 + wine by the glass at a fair price (for Geneva) + good desserts, excellent artisanal ice cream + nice interior with wood - overwhelmed and unpleasant service. The feeling of being a nuisance when you ask for something. Lots of waiting. Lack of staff ? Considering the other comments, this seems to be recurring. - wine served to the drop and often below the quantity ordered. Already counting by the dl rather than by the glass is stingy, but when I kindly point out that we have not received the quantity ordered I receive rolled eyes and an annoyed tone instead of an apology. Finally they rectified it, the Law obliges them to do so. - incentive to consume high-margin items such as overpriced cold meats, salads and wine. - although we drank wine, the pitcher of water we requested never arrived In the end, a good taste experience slightly marred by the lack of generosity of the owners. We feel that a penny is a penny.

A bowl of salad for 4 thrown on the table for 24.- The fondue is passable and the quantity is very small... An addition of more than 400.- at 7 with unpleasant service. There's much better for much less!

Really like the cheese fondue and the sliced-meat that we had as appetisers. The atmosphere is cozy and homie. The service is quite cold instead.

I simply loved everything and without no doubt, it was the best fondue I've ever tasted!

Top place for trying Swiss cheese either with a raclette or fondue at a remarkable low price for the area. Viande starter was a nice suggestion, mushroom and champagne fondues were really awesome and tasted nice, not greasy. As many potatoes and bread are provided as asked and the raclette is served as many times as you asked them. Treatment during the service was really good in a warm environment and nice local.

We are three Spaniards who didn't want to leave Geneva without trying a founde... Spectacular atmosphere, the treatment received... And of course the food!

Good place for typical swiss fondue. We ordered moitié-moitié and had apple tart for dessert. Went there with American colleagues and they liked the ambiance woody/cozy but couldn't speak much to the waitress as she didn't speak English at all.

Bon-Vin was recommended to us by friends and family in Geneva. The mushroom fondue (boletus) was delicious and of superior quality (and better price!) than the Geneva establishments frequented until then. We also ordered a cabbage sausage rösti, perfectly spiced steak tartare, and local wines. Our waitress Véronique and the owner, despite the restaurant being busy, took the time to welcome us warmly. Geneva establishment for 123 years! We will come back with pleasure.

Very good restaurant for eating fondue with fast and friendly service and a traditional atmosphere.

The restaurant is just lovely and lively mid-week and on weekends. The food is beyond delicious, truly one of the best fondues in town. The only sour point is that one of the waiters is only pleasant to French-speakers and is quite racist. The last layer of our fondue pot was getting darker and his choice of funny comment was along the lines of 'it's so dark, it's almost African.'

We got very lucky walking in at 645 and actually getting a table, but a reservation is almost definitely necessary for this little traditional restaurant. The staff was friendly, the space was quaint, and the food was delicious. We had the half and half fondue + chocolate fondue, and I think it’s safe to say both were our favourites! We’d return for dinner again tonight if we didn’t have a flight to catch. Great place, highly recommend.

We stopped to enjoy a fondue and despite the late hour, the person welcomed us warmly and seated us quickly. The truffle fondue is excellent, the owner is present and very helpful. We had a pleasant evening and a good time.

We ate there in the middle of August for my daughter's 17th birthday!! The heat of the day did not prevent us from enjoying a good fondue 😊Albert is a colorful character, with my daughters we really consider that we were lucky to meet him, he put everything in place to ensure a great birthday party for my daughter and you really don't meet people like Albert every day. A nice evening with a friend visiting town. Champagne fondue with a nice bottle of white. I am not sure why some reviews below are so poor, they seem a bit set-up, to be honest. Very similar in style. I am a local and have not had a bad experience there.

Always a pleasant moment when we eat dried meat from the Graubünden, mushroom fondue and meringes with red fruits and double Gruyere cream. Very attentive waitress, family and calm atmosphere. Fair value for money. I recommend 100%.

Cute little place at a busy crossroad. I came in at 230pm and the lovely lady here patiently explained the French menu to me. Ended up with a delicious fondue and sausage. Nice. The restaurant closes at 3pm but she told us to take our time.

We ordered a crème brûlée and it had liquid from the gun on it. We didn't eat it. They charged it to us anyway.

Most embarrassing and shameful experience in a restaurant ever. A waiter and a waitress started an argument that went so violent that police was called. Can you believe it ? Very good fondue the wine was excellent

The sign outside the restaurant advertises what they're best at: Fondue. Definitely worth it. The house speciality Champagne Fondue is really worth spending a few Francs more. Start with some cold cuts and add a crisp Valais white and you'll be very happy at the end of the meal.

1 star is too much for this place ..the front staff is a theif and rude. He over charged us and was rude about it too, didn't even say sorry. He was so pushy he want us to buy more and more...such a very bad experience..and the cafe smell stink

To eat a fondue, this little bistro on the edge of the Eaux-Vives district offers a nice stop. A unique terrace experience to enjoy next to a major boulevard in Geneva.

Friendly welcome and the server quite tolerant regarding the health pass. Fondue a little different than usual, too much white wine. One of the guests vomited later that night. Probably a passing incident, because otherwise never been disappointed since time.

Their fondue is truly exceptional, don't hesitate, you will never be disappointed! Magnificent and quality charcuterie dish. The service is warm and professional, very appreciable. Typical, charming setting.

Friend and I wanted to try some chocolate fondue on a short trip to Geneva, had found another place for cheese fondue first and this place appeared to have chocolate so we went afterwards excited for some chocolate. The man who greeted us initially seemed annoyed we didn't have a reservation even though the place was half empty, once we were seated was decent explaining the cheese options but as soon as we said we were interested in chocolate fondue he immediately shut down, just kept repeating "no" over and over, grabbed the bread he had placed on the table and basically told us to get out. I tried to ask if there wasn't any or if it was just because it wouldn't be worth the table and he just kept repeating "no" more and more rudely. When I said I planned to order more than chocolate he still said no, so I guess there's your answer, if you aren't going to shell out at least 60CHF you aren't worth their time.

Do NOT go to this restaurant for fondue!! First off, it smells terrible as soon as you walk inside and it’s hard to get used to it. The staff wasn’t friendly in the least bit and literally just stared at us while we ate our food almost the entire time. Some friends and I were traveling through Geneva for a day and decided to get some Swiss fondue. We ordered 2 for the 4 of us, and it was confusing in the beginning anyway with our waitress. We were planning to share the 2 for the 4 of us but turns out we were charged for 4 fondues even though the menu says that the minimum people that can eat it is 2, which makes no sense. Felt very scammed and was charged double what we wanted. Don’t go here!! You basically can’t share fondue and will have to pay for each person to eat. No sharing. You can probably find much better fondue anywhere else!!

My wife and I were excited to go here for dinner tonight ( Sunday). We checked the hours on their website and I even walked past in the afternoon to check the hours posted on the door, but then we showed up right at 6:30 pm and the restaurant was completely closed with not a person in sight. Tried to call their phone number and it just rings. Very disappointed that they ghost their posted hours.

So good, I had to visit twice during my stay in Geneva. The fondue is delicious, and the service excellent. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for tasty, relaxed dining in downtown Geneva.
