Small but nice! Such delicious croissants and rolls! And very friendly staff. I haven't been here in years and was pleasantly surprised. Back then we also had our wedding cake from Börner, 1A!

Started weak but slowed down a lot. Cold ambience, OK service, poor value for money, tiny selection and the quality doesn't entice you to come back for a second visit.

This bakery brings back many childhood memories! You can now pay with Twint. Cool!

Shopping is worth it, especially because of the different peaks. It is advisable to shop early - otherwise the peaks will already be taken. That's my experience. By the way: You can now also pay cashless with TWINT!

The Börner bakery is one of the oldest bakeries in Winterthur. I've known this bakery since I was a child; every time I went shopping at Migros Deutweg I had a croissant. I don't understand all these negative comments and that's why I took the time to write a review, something I never actually do. Ms. Börner always responds to customer requests and short-term orders are always welcome. There should be more bakeries like this in Winterthur. It's a shame that they're only represented in one location.

Unfreundluch and the same range for 20 years and only cash payment

A bakery that is getting old. The sales room looks very old, the sales room urgently needs a refresh. This bakery is also 30 years behind on payments. Only cash payment possible...unfortunately this is no longer possible these days. Of course the bakery doesn't have to pay any fees, but the bread is the same price as in other bakeries. The friendliness of the employees is also not great. It seems like this bakery doesn't need it. How long something like this will last is questionable. Then complain again when the customers go to the major distributors...

There was a lack of small bread on offer😬 The bread baskets were empty several times on the weekend between 9 and 10 a.m., even though the shop is still open until 4 p.m. on Saturday🙋‍♂️ It's a shame😳because the quality of the bread is actually quite good👍

Payment not possible with Twint or card. Just awkward cash. That's why I don't go there anymore, even if the rolls were okay.

Oh - what wonderful spelled braid... moist, fresh and delicate! What obviously annoys other people makes me very happy: cash payment! Thank you for actively opposing the abolition of cash.

I think the Börner is great. The pretzel croissants and canapés are super delicious. Nice service.

The lye croissants are still lye croissants.

Was there last week & the conditions are worrying! There were small insects everywhere on the wafers and when I kindly pointed this out to the boss, he said angrily “I don’t have to buy it”. I would only recommend it to people who like exotic insect casseroles or those who are buying for their breeding animals. A normal person gets sick just by looking at it. 0 stars and never again.

The people who work there are just as dry as the bread they sell!!!

The börner used to be simply legendary. Great peaks, corn rolls and butter pretzels. Unfortunately, the only thing that remains from the past is that you can only pay in cash... these days?! No thanks. The baked goods are ok, but are subject to massive fluctuations in quality. Unfortunately, the racks are often pretty empty in the afternoon. The sales staff often seem very unfriendly, especially with short-term orders. It's a shame but when you no longer need it...

Top. I know not only bakeries but also debt collection agencies from St.Gallen to Geneva... I still sometimes drive across half of Switzerland for this bakery and its pretzel croissants with salt. With lots of cash in my pocket. There's no other way I can buy them here. And I'm horrified by the low-level comments about it. There would be less debt and less suffering, which I could see in my work for years throughout Switzerland.

The Börner bakery - pastry shop is unfortunately a very rare bakery that still really understands the great old-school art of making bread. Very fine spelled braids, braids by the meter, large and crispy bread selection. Here you still shop with your eyes, and always more than you actually think. You simply can't do without the very fine pattisserie and the fresh Berliners. Also open early on Sundays. Friendly staff. Gladly again and again. R.Keller Wiesendangen

!Eternal yesterday! This is what immediately came to mind when I entered the store. I saw a crumpled up A4 piece of paper prominently placed on the counter that said; CASH ONLY payment here👎. Cash only. This in this day and age!? Either the owners are older and don't want to keep up with the times and respond to customer requests or they simply refuse to adapt to modern times!? Modernity has not found its way here! I had to leave money out somewhere just to buy something. If there had been another bakery and pastry shop nearby, I would have gone there and not to Börner! However, the pastries I bought were edible.

Actually good. But unfortunately, pretty much the last shop in Winterthur that I know of doesn't offer card payment. A no-go for me when dealing with food during Corona times.

I always take a little detour on the way to work. A varied selection of fine baked goods and friendly service await me.

Croissants and sandwiches are very tasty. Except for the small, strong saleswoman, the service is also nice. But this lady exudes displeasure, which isn't really an advantage.

The baker is very normal on the inside. Peaks are very tasty. Unfortunately the selection of cakes is not that big. And he could stay up later on Sunday :D I like shopping there.

Pâtisserie goods are delicious, but the bread and veggies I bought were not tasty at all. Both were dry and tasted industrial. I had much better things at Migros.

Price performance top. There is no better bread in the entire Winterthur region. Many types of bread made from spelled flour. ORGANIC bread with an extremely good price-performance ratio. Butter and lye peaks are the Börner. I can't get such good butter or spelled braid like Börner's anywhere else.

Excellent bread, the butter croissants and the plait are also highly recommended. Open on Sundays from 7:30 a.m.
