Bottega del Vino, menú in Locarno

We've been living half-time in Locarno for 4 years and to this day we've never been to the Bottega, a big mistake. It is undoubtedly one of the best places in town. We had goose liver, fresh salmon and Entercote Café de Paris. Maybe not for everyone. But you can't beat what we had! We'll be back soon.

The restaurant was empty, but we two German-speaking Swiss were still turned away.

I was a guest in the rooms but I couldn't appreciate the kitchen. The guest house service is clean, precise and very professional. The rooms are clean and tidy and the common kitchen is well equipped

I stayed in the adjacent guest house and the owner's welcome was very courteous. He immediately showed us the room and where the shared bathroom and kitchen were located. The room is close to Piazza Grande which can be reached in 3 minutes on foot, yet it is very quiet.

I cant give 5 stars because the bread of the burger was quite dry and heavy and there were too many sweet onions inside: as a hamburger lover i wish the burger bun to be light and fluffy, it should not take too much attention from the meat, since its there to hold all of the burger together but not take too much space and weight, its just the frame...it was more of a bread than a bun and i do think there is a difference...and as a meat lover i love the meat to be in the center, the sweet onions were a layer in the burger instead of being a little extra topping and that also took away from the meat...less is more, and surely one can taste that in other plates, when meat is served without sauce and you can fully enjoy the taste of the meat, but since until now we only had the burger, i have to give 4 stars...
