We were at Rest. Fiorentina for dinner on Feb 20, 2024. The grilled rabbit fillet was fried to perfection, extremely tender and the fried polenta balls were a proverbial surprise. There were also mixed, steamed vegetables. The service is very attentive. Tips for the right wine are a given. The restaurant, in an old building in the old town of Locarno, is bright, friendly and has a rather modern interior.

Super friendly staff. Food top and sufficient. If you eat in Locarno, then eat here.

Excellent restaurant - the dishes were imaginative and perfectly seasoned. The seasonal risotto with chestnuts, the baked polenta balls with nuts and pears and, as a starter, the polenta bruscetta with porcini mushrooms were fantastic. At the end there was a very fine tiramisu - price/performance - excellent - various vegan dishes on the menu.

Unfriendly staff look askance when you enter, plus all of them are bald and have little taste. The food is not first rate, the service is not very efficient.

After many years of Christmas lunch at home we decided to invite the whole family to the restaurant. Our choice was Fiorentina. We had a great time, excellent lunch, excellent Chinoise, delicious homemade sauces, everything perfect. A big thank you to all the staff and we will definitely be back. Good work again, happy new year everyone.

Very nice restaurant. The food was actually really good, unfortunately the starter came half frozen. However, I was served a new one without any discussion.

I went to this place a bit by chance and it was a pleasant surprise. (Reserve a table, as we were lucky in finding the last one available). Very kind and professional waiters welcomed us and served us impeccably. The food was delicious with just the right portions. The place looks good and is clean. I consider the balance between quality and price of the food very advantageous. Recommended for those who want to eat well for a reasonable price just a few steps from Piazza Grande.

I was on Sunday 10th December with a group from Verona... we had such a great time that we would definitely return, the family welcome especially from the waiter Luca from Campania... then the delicious food and also the environment, despite being small but very 'warm' and lively. We have been visiting "Fiorentina" regularly for several years. It's a safe value in Locarno! The food is always excellent. It's nice that there are also various vegetarian dishes. The ambience is also very atmospheric, both inside and outside in the beautiful courtyard. Also worth mentioning is the constant, very friendly team, always very friendly and attentive! The great overall impression could be rounded off if the whole team were introduced on the website...

Really nice restaurant, both if you're eating inside or in the outside court. Very nice ambient and atmosphere, super friendly and kind staff. Food is amazing! Risotto with pancetta and mushrooms, and tiramisu' were my favourite dishes. Very nice location, along a small road, 10 min quiet walking from the main square. 💖

We had the polenta bruschetta as a starter and then the red wine risotto with chestnuts and the gnocchi with sage and vegetables (all vegan). This was the BEST thing we have eaten in a long time!!! A real culinary delight.

Inside and outside seating. In the garden is very cozy. All pasta and gnocchi is homemade. Lasagne al rage, Gnocchi with a creamy cheesy sauce ( local cheese fromValle Maggia) and kids menu Casarecche del ragù di luganighette) were super delicious. Service was swift. Even though they have kids menu, inside is not really kid friendly. Kids chairs& cutlery avaiable.

Very friendly staff and very nice, relaxed atmosphere. The food is very tasty, colorful and fresh. The crème brûlée with rosemary is fantastic!

We were guests from German-speaking Switzerland and really enjoyed the evening in Locarno with Italian flair and excellent cuisine. The portions were generous and reasonably priced. The quality of the ingredients left nothing to be desired. In addition, the plates were beautifully presented and the service was friendly, always courteous and extremely personable. We would come here again at any time. THANKS!

What can I say, everything was excellent.

Very quiet location with outside seating in the inner courtyard. We only ordered a small amount at lunchtime, but the service was still very friendly. Espreseeso and creme brule super tasty, not too sweet!!! Good local beer.

Italian style restaurant with friendly and attentive staff.

It took me years of repeated visits to fully appreciate this place. It all started the evening when so many other restaurants were closed that Fiorentina seemed like a rescue to me - still alone. In the meantime we were already in a larger group in the beautiful, large inner courtyard and the food seemed to be getting better and better... If it weren't for this large courtyard, I probably wouldn't have commented at all out of fear that there would be no room for my needs!

Excellent restaurant in Locarno, we sat in the external courtyard which was very full. Even though the waiters were busy they were very kind and quite quick. The quality of the food was excellent: I tried a first course with scallops and prawns, then a steak with baked potatoes and vegetables; the latter really special, cooked to perfection and really tasty. Highly recommended

We stumbled across this restaurant on our first night out and about and can only say what a lucky find - we’ve just been back and can only confirm our first impression! The courtyard outside dining area is lovely, but the excellent food and service are what makes this restaurant really worth a visit. They have vegetarian and vegan offerings as well, which seem to be otherwise a little thin on the ground. Also family friendly - although we are past the stage of smaller kids we still have an eye for such things. All in all well worth a visit.

I was there for Christmas Eve dinner and we opted for the chinoise menu. Very good quality of meat and everything was very well looked after by attentive staff even though the restaurant was full.

The best restaurant in Locarno. Excellent location a few steps from Piazza Grande. Modern and simple design mixed with ancient Italian style. The food is the best we ate in Locarno. Fresh (!!), well prepared and with a beautiful presentation. Price in the mid range like most restaurants in Locarno. Wonderful and attentive service. I highly recommend it.

A good choice for everyone who values ​​quality and good, friendly service. No matter whether it's the cicchorée salad with pears, the linguine with prawns and scallops or, at the end, the burnt cream, everything is fresh and homemade every day. It goes without saying that this costs a few francs. I almost forgot the Merlot Riserva from Cantina Giubiasco. Great value for money and also openly available to drivers. Service was top, food was beautifully prepared and very good. Unfortunately the food was almost cold and the plates were not preheated. A pity! You also feel stressed and have to leave the restaurant quickly so that the table can be filled again. Started with the reservation. Slow down urgently to be able to maintain the high level! Small amenities such as greetings from the kitchen were missing...the prices are moderate.

We loved this restaurant, beautiful ambiance, friendly service and great food. Perfect for a date night or dinner with friends/family. We enjoyed every dish we ordered but the polenta bruschetta, the Zandar fillet with risotto and the panna cotta were really amazing. Definitely try out this restaurant while in Locarno/Ascona.

So great! Went with two small children and everything was great. Super nice staff. Children's menu with ice cream at the end. For the adults, very great and tasty regional dishes in a great atmosphere. The price is a little higher, but the price-performance ratio is right. A very nice evening!

We picked this spot hoping it would be quiet with a nice ambiance, which it was! Not to mention the dish we ordered - Costata di manzo, which was DELICIOUS! The servers were extremely attentive, too. Loved this spot and would definitely come back!
