Very nice service and good coffee

Clientele clearly over 65, so nice and quiet. No Albanian construction workers or pimps to be seen. Very clean suburb. Nice staff with slight communication problems. The scrambled eggs were absolutely delicious. Coffee small but good.

Great place to take an early coffee with some croissants. My business partner suggested this place for an early morning meeting and I loved it as we had some privacy without having the busy Zurich city centre crowd.

Café Ferdinand is my favorite in the city. Eating breakfast, especially during the week when there is little going on, really puts you in a good mood. But even on Sunday you can usually still find a free table for breakfast. What's on offer is more or less Swiss standard, except for the croissants, which are better than most in the city. A typical neighborhood café, people know and greet each other. And reading the newspaper is still possible...

I used GOOGLE to look for a place in Zurich that offered “brunch” and that’s why I came across Café Ferdinand. It is very easy to reach by public transport as it is right next to a tram stop. My first impression was very good. A small and very well-kept café that also has terrace seating. The map is large and clearly laid out. This means everything from small snacks to the menu is included. Homemade delicacies are also offered in the showcase and, in the summer season, homemade ice cream. The drinks menu is definitely impressive. Many different brunch variations are also offered. The prices are absolutely moderate for Zurich. The location is lovingly designed and made a very clean impression. The service was very courteous and guest-oriented. My next brunch will definitely be at Café Ferdinand and this café also invites you to linger longer.

Very good espresso and friendly service

It took a very long time until I was served, although there was probably only one employee responsible for the entire inside and outside area, but at least a sign that she saw me and was coming would have been nice. The coffee was average. I wasn't even asked about the Covid certificate. No matter what you think about it, I expect a business to comply with legal regulations.

We had breakfast here on Easter Monday, when many other places were closed. Received friendly service and good quality food. Clean and tidy. For the highest rating, the interior would have to be cozier.

Our brunch at Kafi Ferdinand was very enjoyable and we will definitely be back! It's a friendly neighborhood café with a mixed, "real" clientele. Really refreshing when you've had enough of all the trying-to-be-hip brunch spots in the city. There is a good selection of classics at fair prices here. The portions are generous, everything was well prepared, the bread selection was fresh and good. The orange juice and coffee drinks were also convincing. But the highlight was certainly the super friendly, courteous and humorous service. A perfect place to switch off and feel good. You can only be happy to have a cafe like Ferdinand in your neighborhood!

Sometimes that's exactly what you need when you're a tourist - an unpretentious place for a simple breakfast/brunch, to which you can go more than once and feel at home. I'll be honest - the food is well prepared but is not special, and the decor is rather generic. Yet - the kindness and joviality of the servers, the locals that fill the place, all contribute to a pleasant experience at a decent price (rare in Zurich) and made us go there twice in a row.

The "Ferdi", as I like to call it, is a reliable value! One of the few coffee shops in the area, a relaxed atmosphere without excessive hipsterism, very warm and personal, it has WiFi and sockets for working with a laptop, you can eat delicious food or just enjoy a coffee. Brunch on the weekends is also recommended. I enjoy being here, with or without kids.

Used to be one of the friendliest and most interesting restaurants/cafés in Zurich with a great international atmosphere and a very mixed crowd, but the Turkish man who ran left in January 2016 and since then it's become just another place to have a coffee or a beer.

Cefe Ferdinand is renovated since couple of months. Before it had a charming atmosphere of 80-90's and was nostelgic to someone grew up here. nowadays it became more like a modern cafe but it still keeps the nice atmosphere well. This cafe is definitely beloved by many locals in this area and also one of my favorite cafe in Zurich :-) You can have a cup of coffe and read something while it's rainy outside and you can also order something to eat and the price level is also very fair.

Ferdinand is a café during the day. Evenings it's managed as a bar/restaurant by a turkish family. This review is about the restaurant! Here you'll find the freshest and most delicious turkish food in the town, for a very price. The mother - an incredible cook - is responsible for the kitchen, while the father and children are serving. It's the place to taste great home-made turkish cuisine for foreigners and a shelter for turkish where they feel home.

Good Turkish food in the evening. Some evenings they have live Turkish music, which was not our most favorite.

Pretty nice breakfast with multiple options such as American breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon and French breakfast with omelettes both of which comes with jam, butter and bread basket, freshly orange juice. Pastries looked pretty nice but no space left for them. Only down side is interior design is quite old fashioned with the cheesy aquarium :)
