Brasserie Belleville in Lausanne

Service was very nice, but the food was unfortunately below average. Ready-made sauces are served here; the meat in the Bouef Bourguignon was sometimes very tough and fibrous. The salmon was ok, but here too a lot of ready-made spices were used. No recommendation for the food.

One Saturday afternoon, we sat on the terrace. We waited 45 minutes without being able to order while other people were seated after us and were served. We left opposite (Istanbul) and we were immediately served. Dependent contrast.

Very disappointed with the quality of the food. The “eggs mayonnaise” starter: the mayonnaise is not homemade, it’s industrial. The dish “Raviole du Royan Sautéed with Paris Mushrooms”: the ravioli are not homemade, the taste is bland. The grated cheese on top is industrial (in a bag). In a restaurant that is not fast food, you expect fresh grated cheese. The dish "Boeuf Bourguignon, Purée" is clearly paying for a dish of mashed potatoes because there are only 4 small pieces of meat and 2-3 small onions, bacon. The sauce lacks taste. Finally, we had to wait 1 hour to be served even though we were the only customers who ordered dishes (the other customers only consumed drinks). The waiter apologized for the poor service, but that doesn't make up for the quality of the food. If I want to eat an industrial dish, I go to a fast food restaurant and I know what to expect. But I find it dishonest of this restaurant to serve dishes that are not homemade. The quality of the dishes corresponds to school quantine quality. If you want to eat brasserie dishes, there are several brasserie-style restaurants in Lausanne of much better quality

Restaurant ideally located in Flon. Pretty brasserie decoration, high ceiling, chairs or armchairs and wooden table. The staff is friendly. On the other hand, a small downside on the cuisine and the quality of the dishes, more canteen than brasserie. The presentation of the dishes leaves a little to be desired, in particular we were surprised by the plate of cheese and cold meats, presented in bulk.... My beef bourguignon was a little bland. In summary, kitchen to improve in order to raise the level on site.

Welcoming staff, but unorganized and slow service.

The servers are super nice, well done 👏. On the other hand, the tartare is not good at all. I barely tasted it. The meat is of very poor quality. And I don’t even mention the fries. Damage

Very good service, pleasant, friendly, smiling. Meal much too expensive given the quality of typical industrial quality dishes. Beef Bourguignon accompanied by mashed potatoes, good but like a good canteen. No bacon, very neutral taste, probably artificially thickened sauce and not slow cooking, no typical flavor of this dish, probably with little or no of wine Viennese schnitzel with pork!? Tartar garnished with mustard, slightly spicy. Dry parsley powder. In short, a cuisine reminiscent of industrial vacuum bags, reheated. Good but not famous, and above all much too expensive given the quality! Sorry.

A friendly brasserie and good dishes

We reserved for a group of 10 adults with 5 children for lunch, they were very accommodating. The service exceeded our expectations and the food was phenomenal. They have a kids theatre room, very nice touch. Definitely recommend, and definitely will be returning.

We came with a reservation on the fork with discount and the experience was amazing, the local y so beautiful and nice, the service so perfect, everybody the waitress Lu so kind and the food ohh my god please go, and try everything. Thanks guys!

We stopped by with my girlfriend on Saturday evening for a little drink. A waitress seats us and arrives with the cards. Without meaning to, she hits my girlfriend in the face with the card. Of course it can happen, I can hear it's an accident. But she just says sorry and leaves right away. After this we waited more than 15 minutes without anyone coming to ask us anything. However the waiters were not very busy they chatted a lot together. So we got up and left without being able to consume anything. The least we can do when a server makes a mistake or hits the client even if it's unintentionally, it's the least we can do to take care of it properly. For sure I would never set foot there again. And would never advise anyone close to me to go there.

Top notch staff. I especially appreciated the place for the kindness of the staff who realized that it was the birthday of one of the people at the table and who offered them their dessert of their choice from the menu + 3 cocktails for the other people at the table. Good food and more on offer with the fork.

I would like to explain the reason for 4 stars on the service. The staff were very pleasant, but there was a lack of communication, knowledge or training which led to some errors in the service, which could not provide 5 stars. Pleasantly surprised, despite people around me who had shared a bad experience with me. We ate very well, and had a very nice evening. In addition, when paying the bill, we were informed that hot drinks were offered. Thank you for this very commercial gesture! PS: The portions on the plates remain small.

Excellent brasserie cuisine and good choice of wines

Nice atmosphere but: - inconsistent servers do not give the same information on prices - not at all commercial, charge until the last cent despite a table of more than 30 people and incorrect information on the composition of the packages - red wine in the pitcher simply undrinkable, I won't even cook something in it just the smell was more unpleasant than vinegar... at least 4 pitchers were not touched during the meal at 30 it's to say and bad service at this level, no gesture a shame - more than average meal, everything overcooked, tasteless sauce. In short, I strongly advise against this establishment which has very poor value for money because it is very expensive for what it is, even the drinks do not meet the level, with a choice of beer, each more mediocre than the other, for a “brewery” hurts...

This new Brasserie in the heart of Flon is an excellent surprise. A bright and friendly place, warm and attentive service and traditional, comforting cuisine. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

Deplorable service, overwhelmed staff. Brings the dishes before having served the aperitif.... 3 different servers, each as incompetent as the other. In short, we are disappointed, not to mention that the dishes are not good apart from the roast beef, the music is too loud, the atmosphere is ordinary...

40 minutes to get the ordered aperitif which arrived after...the main course. Then aperitif finished, we had to ask for our dishes to be reheated. Dishes finished, we had to call after 45 minutes to get dessert. We asked for the bill at the same time and it was never brought to us. And another 10 minutes standing in front of the counter to be able to pay. Served by 3 different people. And no dessert or ice cream provided for the children. Of course no commercial gesture for multiple expectations. In short, only positive point for me: the tartare. I would like to point out that when we arrived there was almost no one there.

Very friendly welcome, and very good food. The decoration is entirely in the style of Parisian brasseries. The non-stop open kitchen is an advantage compared to all these restaurants which no longer serve after 2 p.m.

Friendly and professional welcome and services. Unfinished brasserie-style decor. Very average food. Particularly disappointed by the piece of beef with morels. Tough and nervous meat. I left half of it on the plate. Gratin dauphinois not cooked. No commercial gesture apart from replacing the gratin with fries. The Migros cafeteria does much better. I will not return to this restaurant and do not recommend.

We came during lunch break to eat in this restaurant. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the cuisine and the menu offered. Indeed, there is no lunch menu, the dishes are served without salads/vegetables, everything must be ordered extra. The atmosphere is as cold as the welcome. Too bad for this restaurant which could offer lunch menus and attract more customers. Ok for a drink only.

I came with my wife. We ate a warm goat cheese salad as a very good starter. And each a beef bourguignon with mash. When receiving the dishes I saw that my wife had 6 good pieces of meat and I only 3 pieces. I called the manager and explained it to him and he immediately apologized and returned to the kitchen bringing me a nice portion of meat, thank you. Very good service and nice atmosphere. We finished with a very delicious rum baba. We'll come back.

Having come to celebrate my birthday with a table of 20. The room service was friendly with a server always present when new guests arrived and we didn't miss anything. The dishes all arrived at the same time despite the fact that we had ordered a la carte and above all quite quickly! I thank the restaurant for the little attention in the form of a slice of cake and cocktail. I highly recommend!

Brasserie well located in Lausanne, spacious and well decorated. Good atmosphere. Smiling and helpful staff, but at the time of the gunshot we felt quite alone. The dishes have no taste, seasoning or sauce for that matter. Very long waiting time between each dish: allow around 30 - 40 min. The only positive note: the dessert (a lemon tart), not necessarily incredible either. Price per person (starter + main course + 1/2 dessert + drink): 75 Fr-. Conclusion: disappointing and expensive.

Nice discovery! Very nice restaurant which reminds us of a Parisian brasserie in the heart of Flon among the other not really great restaurants. The servers were also friendly. The food there was very good and the cooking perfect. However, the 200g beef rump steak with morel sauce accompanied by a small portion of fries deserves a few more vegetables on the plate given the price of CHF 44.90. It's a bit expensive for the small quantity and that won't take away from the quality of the dish served. We will come back with great pleasure.

More than an hour for 1 children's menu, a starter, 2 main courses... an oversight??? At this time no food... After a small protest, good responsiveness from one of the servers. Thanks to him. Teamwork to be reviewed, we admit a “youthful” error for the service. The dishes ended up being good (the little one loved it). A bit of a shame… we’ll see about a second chance.

Very nice brasserie, well designed, pleasant and spacious. The decoration having a beautiful finish. A little lack of attention to the progress of the service, for example; serving us too quickly even though we had not finished the aperitif, serving poorly positioned plates even though the plates have logos. Otherwise, the dishes are well prepared and fresh. The house Pinot Noire wine stored in barrels I presume is a little too cold.

Scandalous. The herbal tea is served in a coffee cup, costs CHF 4.50 and when we ask for extra boiling water, they bring us a carafe of hot water (not suitable for tea). However, the waitress was very nice. Management should review its prices and products.

It was a very nice discovery! The welcome from the waiters was very cheerful and warm, we were immediately welcomed and then placed in a quiet corner as requested. The menu offers something for all tastes, we had a foie gras starter which was delicious, beef rump steak and half chicken as a main course and tart of the day (tatin) with crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was perfect, the cooking of the meat, the quantity, the waiting time not very long (thanks to the chefs). The servers give good advice and are attentive (thanks to Fayssal). The atmosphere was good and the restaurant was spacious. We will come back to this.

We were warmly welcomed and well advised by the waiters. The service was fast and efficient. Our starters were good (snails with parsley and green salad) and my companion had an excellent beef tartare (CHF 29.90) as a main course. For my part, I took the beef rump steak, fries and morel sauce (CHF 44.90). The cooking of the meat was good but the meat was hard to chew. The morel sauce and fries were delicious. All the other dishes looked good but I was disappointed with the value for money of my dish which was the most expensive on the menu... I will come back for the tartare and for the dessert (tarte tatin).

Open only since September 2023, this brand new and modern brasserie is reminiscent of the Parisian atmosphere. It offers typical brasserie dishes, filling a niche that was lacking in Lausanne. The prices are quite affordable and the quality is very good. The service was very pleasant and efficient. Thank you for this good time and good luck!

To flee. A Moscow mule for 15.- with only ice cubes. Not even 1dl of drink. The super arrogant waiter told us again that we don't know anything about cocktails. And adds that he doesn't have time to take care of us.

We went in for a drink with friends. Cocktails at 15 CHF for not even 1dl of drink, the bartender is unfriendly and claims that in all establishments cocktails are served like this… In short, move on if you want to have a drink in a nice place!

There were 6 of us including 2 children. The location is great, everything is new, the friendly staff, the traditional menu and the choice of wines corresponding to the atmosphere of the place. The meal is worthy of a beautiful Parisian brasserie and the prices are correct for the place. We'll come back.

Positive side: the room, the service As for the cuisine: really not great! We had hunting (game) and beef Bourgignon as main dishes. Both looked like dishes straight out of a canteen. And barely warm. My stew was much too salty, the pieces dry and stringy. No chestnuts, as indicated on the menu... 'they are mixed in the sauce' the waiter told us. Ok... Even if the final bill was correct, it's still a high price to pay when you didn't get what you wanted. Damage.
