Brasserie Spirgarten in Zürich

Very friendly staff. But no interest in service. An empty glass is no reason to ask what you want. It's a mystery to me that this still exists in today's gastronomy.

A great selection of dishes, deliciously seasoned and beautifully served. The service is very friendly and provides information and is also attentive. The ambience is a bit too dark for me, but I liked it better before the renovation. Gladly again .

Service was bad, we had to pour the wine ourselves. Staff was completely overwhelmed, but nice!! There were 20 people and they consumed well! The sliced ​​veal was tough and tasteless, the hash browns were acceptable!!

We arrived for dinner, without reservation, very close to the kitchen closing time. Nevertheless, they didn’t refuse serving us dinner. The food was delicious, well cooked. They made a mistake with one of the orders, but as the kitchen was already closed it could not be repaired. So, they didn’t want to charge us for the plate, which we ended up paying as we ate it anyways. Very thoughtful from the staff, you don’t find this kind of attention towards the customer very often! Totally recommend!

Recommended location, known for all kinds of events, in the middle of the city, at the well-known meeting point Lindenplatz and near the Stadelhofen train station. Public transport and parking spaces are just around the corner. A beautiful garden restaurant completes the offering.

Very good local restaurant, a variety of dishes (also seasonal), all very well done. Good beer choice bottled and on tap, good wine selection. Staff is very friendly too.

Terrible! I've never been treated so rudely just because I asked for the toilet. Two male employees at the bar obviously laughed at me when I asked the following question: “Do you have a toilet?” One was wearing a blue shirt and the other I don’t remember. I really don't know the last time I felt so degraded. And in a restaurant like this!

Not one vegan dish is offered on the menu-card, poor. Everything else such as Service, other food, ambiance, etc. is really good. It‘s a pitty…… I‘ll give it another try this springtime. But if it remIns like this, my colleagues and I wont be a guest at this restaurant anymore.

Very good food, fast and courteous service. I'd love to come back! However, the selection could be larger.

This afternoon I went to the brasserie with friends and small children to have a drink. The reception was already very cold and unwelcoming. Overall we didn't feel welcome. Since all the tables seemed to be reserved anyway, we would have preferred a cancellation. It's a shame, because I was there several times in the summer with a small child and found it child-friendly back then. I hope it develops again into a restaurant where everyone feels comfortable.

We were there with a total of 15 people on the occasion of three birthdays. The service was outstanding, which was very courteous and uncomplicated in a very un-Swiss way. Left a lasting impression and is one of the reasons why we will come back. The spare ribs were perfect. They fell off the bone and the marinade was really delicious. The onion rings and the burger also deserve high marks. There is a great selection of beers. From the 0815 Lager to the Pineapple Milkshake IPA. I can recommend it to everyone.

For Christmas dinner with 8 people. Some of us had the Zurich Geschnetzeltes. It was a small portion and unfortunately only lukewarm. The hash browns, however, were ok. The pork knuckle was good and also the lamb kidney piece. Dessert, the vermicelles were good, the chocolate cake, contrary to the waiter's recommendation, was not liquid in the middle. Very good beer and wine, but the whiskey was a disaster. The service was friendly, but lacked an overview. Bring the wine list, clear it away, ask if we want anything else, etc. Overall disappointing, I would have liked more hospitality and an eye for detail from the service. It was cooked with too little love.

Very nice & stylish brasserie with very friendly & courteous staff. Nice selection of special beers, various pale ales etc. The beef tartare with toasted house bread was amazing!

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of being taken care of by Dominik the few days we were in Zurich for our honeymoon. We did not stay at the hotel but very happy we stumbled upon the spirgarten brasserie for drinks. Dominik was very accommodating and had a lot of great recommendations for us nearby, and around the city

I only drank a delicious cappuccino, so I can't rate the food. But totally friendly service. Great atmosphere.

I was not in the hotel but the restaurant and meeting place are really good. I highly recommend this place not only for events but also for lunch, dinner and eventually breakfast. Fresh food and delicious dishes were served during our breaks and for lunch. The staff is so cool and nice! I would give 10 stars to them that make the difference 🥰 Highly recommended

Friendly staff. That's where the good things end. Room was tiny and very hot, beds where hard. Shower tiny too. People talking outside the hotel all night long so had to shut the window so I could get a bit of sleep. Not the nicest area for a hotel. We we're glad to leave here. Also there is a very noisy church clock tower which dings every 15 mins from 7 until 10. Sorry this is not for me.

I really like the Spirgarten great selection of beer and rosé in the Steinkrug. Unfortunately the food and staff were poor. Tartare tasted sweet. I would therefore rather recommend the fish crispy or the burger. Rump steak portion is far too expensive for the price, so two stars deducted... Hopefully it will get better again

I really enjoy being in the Spirgarten. I like the food and the service is very friendly and attentive. After a longer stay, I became increasingly cold. When I asked an employee, he told me that he couldn't do anything about it. It's a shame because I left the restaurant much earlier than planned.

The atmosphere is very pleasant, a little dark but very nice, there is a menu or from the menu. The menu is very attractive and the service is very attentive. What's special here is the large selection of beers, there's even a sour beer! What you don't find everywhere. Oh yes, if you drink too much beer, you can stay overnight in the adjacent hotel. Great restaurant in Altstetten in a nice atmosphere. Very good menu with a good selection of dishes using local ingredients. They also have a large selection of beers and there is the option for a food pairing that tastes wonderful.
