For the price the food is absolutely ok! It's a shame that it is not clearly stated (on the door and on the card) that credit cards are not accepted. If you read the comments here it's even more incomprehensible. Just to leave no doubt: I have no problem with the paying guest having to adapt to the innkeeper (and not the other way around as usual). What I find irritating, however, is that apparently nothing is learned from the comments and the fault is only looked for in the other person. A little self-reflection certainly wouldn't hurt!

The food was good. We enjoyed eating on the shaded patio. When the bill came, we were not prepared with cash, since we had never encountered a restaurant that did not take credit cards before! Fortunately, family was not far away who rescued us with Swiss francs. The restaurant should post that policy prominently, rather than surprising customers when the bill is presented!

Super bad experience here. I ordered their steak special which was supposed to be farm to table and it came over cooked. I sent it back and they all ate a bite and said it was fine and insisted I pay for it when I did not have a single bite. I simply cut into it and it was clearly over cooked. See the photo of the steak after they all took a bite to taste and even said you are welcome to finish the rest as it is good. This is truly shocking! They then called the police on me as they refused to take the steak off my bill despite the fact the rest of my family of 4 ordered food and beer. Really bad customer service. Avoid at all cost.

At Interlocken, a local recommended going to this small family owned and run Swiss restaurant. Where we had a great meal after hiking and exploring the area. Tip: Bring cash, they do not accept cards or any electronic payment.

Awful place! I had food poisoning after eating there and threw up all night (I ate the Rösti). Also they are very rude and racist, we thought it is a cute Swiss place to eat but they make you feel so uncomfortable that you will regret to enter only if you are Swiss you won’t I guess. My kids got very scared of their yelling and embarrassed so we decided we will not dine there. I requested for the check and we had to pay 12 Swiss francs in cash for three glasses of water. In this chaos someone stole my scarf. Yes this chaotic visit cost me 700euros. If you are a non white tourist/guest make sure you know the language very well.

This place is stunning! We shared a plate of Schweinshaxe (pork knuckle I guess?!) which didn’t have any fat, and came with a large serving of potatoes, some grapes and a small apple. Absolutely delicious! Very juicy and perfectly cooked. A large serving, luckily we shared it. We also had a bouillon soup with an egg. The egg was added at the end and the soup was very very rich! The employees as well as the other people in the restaurant were very open and kind, always smiling and very upbeat. I’ll go out of my way to go back there.

Die Bedienunng ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Haxe war von einen rechten Kaliber und die as Beilage bestellten neuen frittierten Kartoffeln waren ausgezeichnet gewürzt. Der Hirschpfeffer wurde - wie es sich gehört - mit Rosenkohl, Rotkraut und Spätzli sowie der Birne mit Preiselbeeren serviert. Geschmeckt hat er hervorragend. Insbesondere die Sauce war bemerkenswert. Das Bier stammt aus der Brauerei nebenan. Das Ganze war preiswert und kam mit Trinkgeld auf 70 CHF zu stehen (2 Personen).
