Bad reception, we had reserved a table for a romantic dinner. Since we live nearby we arrived on time and the waiter instead of asking us where to sit or offering us something to drink he told us to stay outside for 15 minutes, he didn't even tell us to sit down outside just to go outside. I find it very rude of her so we finally left the restaurant straight away and had to look for another one which took us a while.

I can only recommend! I ate at Desi Palace on 3 occasions and it was a real treat. In addition, they do not hesitate to give a little something extra, which is very rare in Geneva and which deserves to be mentioned. UPDATE: I am removing 4 stars because having taken away, I noticed when I arrived home that the Desi Halva was full of mold. For me it's unacceptable and I won't set foot there again! Far be it from me to harm your establishment which I appreciated, which is why I left my first positive comment. But I confirm that this desert was served to me in your establishment a few months ago. Since then, I hope you have improved your hygiene controls and standards. Either way, you lost a customer!

To avoid, I don't understand the bill for this restaurant....I'm a fan of Indian restaurants. I ordered the most legendary dish of these restaurants, butter chicken....I was served chicken in a sauce liquid pink color that had no taste...their chicken had an odor and aftertaste of expired meat. First time I come out of an Indian restaurant disappointed, I really don't recommend it.

I had a great time on the terrace of the Desi Palace for a lunch with a friend. Everything was delicious, the waiter was extremely kind and smiling. I intend to repeat the experience as soon as possible!

Despite the kindness of the staff, the food was unfortunately not good. I ordered butter chicken but no taste. It’s really a shame! The manager should perhaps review his kitchen staff

Prawns Pakoras not fresh, with a smell that even the onions could not hide. Butter chicken with a taste I've never had anywhere else, way too sweet. On the contrary, the chicken sauce with dried fruits that my friend ordered was much more like butter chicken (supported by a Sri Lankan friend). Chapati and paratha which seemed more like Naan, when it should not be the same thing.

We came because that evening the Rajput was full. We hadn't booked. A first waiter greeted us and told us he was going to see if there was a place. He seats us at a table because presumably there were some. A few minutes later, his colleague (or boss perhaps) comes to our table and says “you haven’t made a reservation? Yes no because well the restaurant is normally full but as now you are seated…”, discomfort (and it was not humor, the person who accompanied me asked him again at the end if it was really full ). We really hesitated to leave. Then we waited 15 minutes for an aperitif to be offered to us and the menus to be brought to us. Too bad, because the food is good but we will go elsewhere when the Rajpute is full, for sure! ☺️

Table of 6, share the mixed starters (veg) where we could try a bit of everything. I ordered a salty lassi (perfect 👌🏾), the basket naan (3 different types and the cheesy one is really good) with the lamb jalfrezi (spicy curry - but not spicy enough for a South Indian, they were nice to provide another spicy sauce).

Absolutely bad. A cheese naan that isn't: vaguely resembles a roast. Tasteless chicken tika masala. The tika massala sauce is better at Migros! All prepared and served in 10 minutes...No wonder it's so bad! In addition, their web page (menu) is full of spelling and typing errors, shameful!

Being an Indian in geneva it’s very difficult to find desi food. Desi palace is the answer to your problem, the owner is very humble, the ambiance is beautiful. Now, talking about the most important thing which is the food. You just gotta go and try it yourself. I loveddd it, truly! Thank you.

So so disappointed. If you’re an Indian in Geneva, please don’t go. Portions are small but it’s the base tomato-onion gravy that really disappointed. Chana was weirdly sweet and so so much onion which wasn’t blended in/ fine chopped, it was 40% of each dish.

Food poisonining - AVOID! The entirety of our table got food poisoning just the day after dining here. It was probably the beef, which tasted very gummy and was covered in sauce. The menu is simply too large, and they probably do not have enough demand to properly store and buy fresh meat on a weekly basis. It's a pity because the waiters are very nice and the atmosphere is nice, too. However, we clearly do not care when we have fever, shivers and are sitting on a toilet for 24 hours (and counting!). This is simply not acceptable. I will solicit the health authorities of the Canton of Geneva to rapidly go and pay them a visit, because this is a public security risk.

Ordered via Smood: I placed my order at 8pm. At 9pm the restaurant pretended that their own delivery person had rung the bell at 9 with no answer and had left. After a heated conversation with Smood, the restaurant finally called at 9:45pm to tell me that the order was never sent because they were very busy and that they would deliver in 10 minutes. At 9:50, my order was marked as delivered, and at 9:55 I received a cold underwhelming meal with an extra order of biryani. NEVER AGAIN!!

indian Pakistan style food- eat in or take to go. We just happened onto this place. The staff were very nice. showed me where to park. Gave us a complimentary drink. Ordered food to go. Service was quick. Food was fresh and tasty. So if you are in a mood for indian food, vegetarian or non vegetarian, good place for a quick service....

Birthday To celebrate my wife's birthday we decided to take a trip to India. No need to go far - this restaurant satisfied us. We had the tasting menu - honestly I can't tell you which dish was the best - all excellent. All with table service worthy of a 5-star restaurant. The aperitif and the rose offered to my wife make the small difference between very good and excellent. Thanks again.

A New Year's Eve like no other: goodbye oysters, foie gras, lobsters and other capons! This year we opted for an Indian New Year's Eve (with champagne anyway) which took us away and enchanted us... On the menu, 3 starters, 3 main courses and a mango mousse. In the mouth, flavors each time different and delicious. The most original New Year's Eve of my life, with efficient and attentive service. I recommend.

Desi Palace is excellent! Open for only three months, the service is excellent, the staff are incredibly kind and the food is divine. Right in front of the Blanche tram stop, it's really easy to get there! Open Monday to Sunday non-stop, lunch and dinner. A very good experience for us! To be renewed quickly 😊
