Very nice restaurant with very friendly staff

Unfortunately the service is very poor, they are rude and have a bad attitude, especially a woman with glasses. It makes the experience very unpleasant, we love the place as a location and the bread is very good. My partner and I went there every Sunday morning and accepted the poor service but we won't go there again. We smile and are friendly, but they are still very rude, especially the woman with glasses to me. I usually order a DECAF Espresso Macchiato. Since I can't drink caffeine for various reasons, the woman always acts as if she isn't listening, she keeps shouting at me questioningly and the last time she made the comment to her colleagues: "Who drinks coffee without caffeine, and she laughs." ', I also ask her about espresso macchiato and she says latte macchiato? As if she wasn't listening, after repeating it loudly three times, she finally takes my order, or she dares to do the same and corrects me by telling me that it's a regular coffee, I don't really care, but after every time When we are there we find it unpleasant and we always leave the place talking about how bad we feel.

Overpriced and rude service. If you hate your job then find a new one.

Just had a coffee with my colleague. The table was dirty on the floor so many bread seeds, it wasn't wiped. No afieu and thank you. A lot is still needed here.

one of the best places in oerlikon. I love it and I am visiting quite often. I do recommend.

Large selection of cakes. The chocolate cake was to die for. Cheap and expensive options. Very fine coffee. Very friendly and not so friendly staff. Very pleasant and cozy atmosphere. Convenient opening hours.

The behaviour of some of the staff members is just ruining the quality of the food and the overall experience. You feel out of place, and get unfriendly comments or roll of eyes if you call a cake by a wrong name or are too slow ordering … this is quite unprofessional and unacceptable and I am not the first comment going in this direction

Nice place, very central in Oerlikon. I decided to go for a brunch which i did not enjoy so much, it says it comes with an orange juice and it was an orange juice from the box not fresh at all. Breads were okay. Nice capuccino. Overall experience, i would say 6/10 - not worthy the money.

We enjoyed a delicious brunch in the café at Max Bill Platz. The sunny terrace invites you to have a leisurely breakfast. The bread is of course very fine, and the cheese is also excellent. Also worth mentioning are the fine quiches and the very tasty chai latte. The employees behind the counter were all super friendly and took great pleasure in serving the guests.

The service was pretty casual; but probably the best choice for coffee early in the morning - even if the staff unfortunately can't manage to make the advertised small flat white (6 chf!) worth the price.

Very cute local bakery (or by now even a chain company) in the middle of Max-Bill-Platz. They offer everything you need and want for a great breakfast: breads, buns, croissants, cakes, pastry, as well as cheese, milk, juices, jam, ham and son on (you can find these things in the fridge next to the counter). Cappuccino but also Matcha Latte with Oat milk are delicious! Great place to go

Vibes are a little sterile in terms of aesthetic and location but the coffee is nice enough (stoll) and the staff are lovely!

Like so many others have said, it’s super expensive and the staff is so unfriendly always. The food is okay, lots of choice but very average. This place has the best croissant I’ve ever had and the absolute worst coffee. Kinda done with it.

Expensive for what it is, and the staff is incredibly unfriendly ! Like they’re doing you a favour serving you! Extremely unwelcoming. Go to the lovely Italian Fusio next door-they’re a hundred times nicer!

It’s a well situated bakery but the staff are very rude - Asian lady is exceptionally rude and never a smile on her face. The guy (long dark wavy hair) even laughed behind my back, assuming I could not understand Swiss German. As a large bakery chain, I would have expected better of their hiring standards. Quite unfortunate.

One of the few bakeries in the neighborhood that is open on Sunday. It's normally busy but if you can eat outside it should be ok.

I popped in for a standard coffee. It was very good and the service was quick and friendly. I will definitely go back.

The Black Forest cake is a tasteless and textureless but vegan substance. The berry cake was ok, a bit bitter. Iced coffee ok.

Nice bakery with indoor and outdoor seating. There is a vast assortment of breads, filled rolls, cakes and leavened products, as well as hot drinks (coffee and tea) and cold drinks, yoghurts and other fridge products from the region. I tried the braid and I really liked it, soft, tasty and not too greasy. The staff is very kind and helpful. I will definitely be back!

Super cool cafe! It's just a shame that I have to look closely every time I order a cappucchino with oat milk and see that they really use oat milk. I would have had it many times with normal milk if I hadn't looked closely

Wheelchair accessible, had a nice hot chocolate to warm up. Afterwards to the Oerlikon Christmas market.

Food is okay. Warm soup and bread. Staff is quite rude and really not friendly.. They can do better I think 🤔

It's nothing more than fancies and hysterics now. The prices were too expensive because my mushroom soup wasn't good. I also gave away my cake because it was too sweet. Pears are already sweet, so the tart requires less sugar, or 0 sugar, which would be healthier. Saving resources would be done with less is more. 😉

Very nice staff, delicious, fresh brioche and good coffee :) the café is in a very fun location and makes Max-Bill-Platz so lively and colorful. A big recommendation for Oerlikon residents!

Best Beck in all of Zurich. I go there several times a week to get bread and rolls.

My family and I loved going here, because it was one of nicest cafés in the neighbourhood, and I have always enjoyed the food on offer. All of this was undone today, sadly, when extremely rude behaviour from a staff member towards my wife made me reconsider ever going here again. Honestly, if a toddler is choosy about which one of many identical sandwiches they'd like, it's no cause to be difficult with the customer. Rolling one's eyes in frustration is such an amateur move. Such a shame, because I've had nothing but pleasant experiences before. With behaviour, however, it's always one strike, and you're out. No complaints about the food, mind you... Just customer beware, if you're looking for good service.

Very good coffee and often also a choice of glutenfree cakes (poppy seed cake, banana cake). Changing table for babies available in the bathroom.

Ordered butter croissants - when I got home they were normal croissants - dry & tasteless! Too expensive for the quality offered - a shame!

Unfortunately, products are not the best quality. There are also problems with baking. In my chocolate croissants only half baked...

Normally I would rate it an okish bakery but recently during Corona times I've noticed the selling personal not always wearing their masks (or keeping them under their chins). Even worse, having a couple minutes long conversation with a customer who was drinking the coffee inside even though now only take away is allowed and of course all masks were down. I know it's hard during these times... But on the other hand if we all stick to the rules maybe all will get better faster.

Good coffee, delicious chocolate croissants, friendly staff, sockets and WiFi are available! The only disadvantage: It is very cool in the cafe due to the automatic sliding door to the outside and the open cooling shelf.

Nice atmosphere, sadly very bad customer service. Some of the people working in the bakery seem to be very unhappy and don’t treat well their customers.

One of my favorite place to have breakfast on Sunday’s. I love ordering the plum cake and some hot chocolate while my husbands always get some of their freshly baked croissant and coffee.

Arrogance and dry bread cannot be tolerated in this compilation.

Absolute & unbelievable impudence! I bought a sandwich for lunch today and the edge was about 3cm wide and extremely dried out and hard to chew. I'm not the type of person to complain about small things, but I brought the bread back to the counter after the first bite. There they told me: “That’s from today, they’re all like that” and left me standing there! I really can't believe it and if the breads all taste like that, I advise everyone not to spend money on them!

Used to be nice, but started to get a bit greedy. They stopped giving little chocolates or cookies with their tea/coffee, which considering the price is a bit sad. Staff is unfriendly. The bread goes stale rather quickly and the Bretzel is hard when bought in the evening. Can‘t recommend it anymore.

Excellent choice of food, drinks and great location

I go there every morning before work to get a delicious chocolate croissant and a cappuccino. Service is always very friendly and flexible. I always ask if I can have the cappuccino in my thermos cup so I don't waste cups and that's never a problem, which I really appreciate.

Delicious variations for a quick but healthy lunch. Buchmann offers many different salads and always two heat options that complement the large sandwich selection. To eat you can make yourself comfortable inside the restaurant or outside in the sun. Dealing with the staff is friendly and informal. Perfect for a lunch with colleagues to switch off for a moment.

Nice bakery with a big selection of bread, bread rolls, sweets, and other prepared food items. Coffee is available as well. There is plenty of indoors and outdoors seating available. But it is also great for a quick stop for takeaway.

It's dirty but the food is heavenly.

The sandwich, almond croissants and coffee were fine. The bistro was very dingy, there was dust everywhere on the floor and walls, and some of the tables hadn't been cleaned. The toilet had no hand drying paper for the women and no soap for the men. And that in the morning at 8.30 a.m., everything should still be clean and stocked up!!

Fantastic Bakery&Café. Great selection of bread, pastries and all sort of Bio products. They have indoor seats as well as a terrace, where you can enjoy a nice coffee/breakfast/snack any day of the week.
