Burger King Basel Claraplatz in Basel

We arrived on Sunday. We were prevented from going to the bathroom because the toilets cannot be used on Sundays. With children in tow, there can often be unexpected events. Sin. Sandwiches served lukewarm after at least 5-6 minutes from the moment they were placed on the tray. There was no children's menu.

When I was thrilled over a year ago, I unfortunately have to revise my old review. Everything, really everything, is getting worse and worse here. Starting with the non-working codes on the ordering terminals, missing and incorrect food, continuing with unmelted cheese, generally cold burgers and fries, right up to the questionable hygiene in the toilets. You could almost think that the person in charge of the branch would like to drive this location to the wall. I kept thinking, let's give the location another chance and unfortunately I was disappointed again and again. A shame and also an impudence when you see what you can pay at Burger King in general. I will avoid this branch from now on.

Call for health inspection. The guy who prepares the burgers puts his fingers in his nose. Extra flavor! 🤢

The food is good as always and the restaurant looks nice from the outside. Unfortunately, the manager is not very friendly and argued with me when I pointed out to him that the toilets could not be used because they were left dirty and locked. He reacted to this in a very unprofessional manner instead of satisfying me as a customer or at least writing to them that the toilets were not usable.

Burger cold, cheese not melted, bun like dry toast. Service unfriendly and smokes in front of the house. Toilets unusable. Sorry, but you rarely experience something like this, and it wasn't unique

Good assortment. Unfortunately our food (wraps) was only lukewarm. However, the taste is good.

A large modern Burger King. When I was there on Thursday evening at 9 o'clock, I was the only guest.

Fries were missing. The burger no longer tasted fresh.

Unfortunately, I always have problems with this Burger King when ordering food from the machine and it has hung up 5 times. Toilet in the basement is unfortunately difficult to access for people with disabilities and let's just say that it's clean and intact is something else.

Work is carried out without gloves. People don't pay attention to hygiene. Something has to change!

Had dinner there with my girlfriend today. We had 3 xtra long chili burgers. These were cold and with meat that had been on the shelf for a long time. We returned them and said they were too cold. Afterwards we got the same burgers, just warmed up in the microwave. This is not up to standard, so we complained again and asked for new burgers for this. We got this after a long waiting time of 20 minutes without any apology or understanding, the customer is definitely not king at Burger King. These burgers were extremely hot, barely tangible and the cheese had leaked out and stuck to the paper. A further complaint with the subsequent waiting time was ultimately too stupid for me. I'll just never come here again. Ciao cocoa.

I think if you look at the pictures this one star explains itself. I would give 0 stars if it were possible. juice drawer McDonald's is much better anyway.

During our visit the whole process didn't work, the toilet was flooded but the food was good. Visually, burgers were very inviting, unlike the competition.

Central location, close to the Basel City Fair. The place is quite large, clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It does not have parking in the immediate vicinity, but it is easily accessible from the tram which stops in front.

Burger was cold, then I got a new one, which was also cold. Will not eat here again!!

Blind people who work and have no idea, I have one lousy burger instead of two (Bacon Beef Burger Double), too bad, some rotten bacon and mayonnaise. If I wasn't in a hurry to get to the airport, I would have thrown it in her face

I was there with my children and when they wanted to use the toilet it was closed due to vandalism. It's a shame that you only find out when it's too late. Really cheeky.

All the hamburgers were cold. The tables were dirty. We bought the children's menu, the hamburger was cold. We bought the whoper menu. The patties were cold. The bread was old.

Very unfortunate. I've been a loyal Burger King customer so far. Unfortunately, the experience with a Wopper that was no longer hot was initially a disappointment. Afterwards, I also felt that my feedback was handled poorly. For me, an apology via email is not enough. After all, I didn't pay very little. But I see this as a lesson that Burger King doesn't depend on me as a customer. But there are probably other shops that are happy when I come by.

Service makes eating without feeling. Chicken nuggets are drier than the desert and are like rubber. Drink is ok and fries are very salty

Everything went wrong that could go wrong. It started with hardly any employees speaking German or English. Only French. Then people also talked about me in French. I ordered a menu which was really cold. The fries were so soggy and cold. Didn't eat the whole menu. With a menu price of 25.- the cola had zero carbon dioxide. A juice shop like this should be closed. It smells unpleasant and the toilets don't look clean. The cleaning plan is for decorative purposes only. A real disaster. Never again!!!!!!!!!!

Spacious space. The restroom is clean. . But it's quite empty. The price is quite expensive. I paid 15 Swiss coins for 6 pieces of chicken (slightly burnt) and 1 bottle of water

The worst leftover Burger King ever... cold burger as if it had been there for a week even without cheese... Pomeranian also cold and soggy... no shame that it can even exist!!!

MISERABLE!! Unfortunately you can't give 0 stars here! Service = 0 points! Couldn't communicate, very bad German, doesn't understand the order, unfriendly, incompetent, stroppy! Had to order a 2nd burger as the burgers in the Swiss BKs are getting smaller and smaller. I pay for another burger for over 12.00 (after the first menu for over 20.00), I get NO receipt and therefore NO number. But I'm sitting right at the counter at the first table, the man at the counter doesn't say anything (and doesn't take him to his seat, even though nothing's going on and he can clearly see me!) and when I ask where my burger is, I get a curt answer : “Called 4 times!” and a cold burger in the takeaway bag, even though I’m sitting at the table! No hint of “sorry” or “I’ll replace him” or anything like that. This is a disgrace for a global corporation! I have never received such poor service! The first burger was just ok, the fries were ok, unfortunately I couldn't eat the second burger because it was cold. Ambience was also disgraceful as the stacked chairs are in the entrance, very very uncomfortable! If BK comes back, I'll happily go to SBB or Steinenvorstadt, they're both quick and friendly. Staff at Claraplatz should be replaced as quickly as possible! ..or best of all just close the branch!

A fast food shop that proves that it can also be clean, quick and friendly. Admittedly, we were never there during rush hour and therefore can't estimate how business will go when things are stressful - but the visits we have had there so far have always been very pleasant. There you can eat and enjoy fast food in peace (NOT "almost") The store is large, spacious and the spaces are generously distributed. Only the path via the stairs to the toilet facilities and the lighting conditions in the facility itself could perhaps be renovated a little. Dark affair ;-)

Disaster incompetence from the staff, absolutely unacceptable waiting times. There is no paper in all the toilets. This branch should be closed!!!!! The staff doesn't speak German... THE LICENSE OF BURGFER KING SHOULD BE WITHDRAWN!!!! It couldn't be worse...

Walk 100 meters and go to McDonalds. This store is disgusting from a-z. Burger cold, waiting time 30 minutes (there were a maximum of 3 other orders with ours) The order was then listed as picked up, then we had to wait again, the team was completely overwhelmed. Store is dirty. The blame was placed on a random guy who apparently picked up our order... well, lousy

You should avoid this place, trust me. People whose priority is money, not guests.

The ordering process went very quickly, even though a group had just arrived. The burgers were good, as you would expect from Burger King. Unfortunately, the onion rings weren't quite as crispy.

Disastrous!!!! I've ordered there several times in the hope that the last time was an exception. But unfortunately we were disappointed EVERY time Absolutely every time without exception something was missing. The food always arrives at our house cold and soggy! But with the last order they outdid themselves. My wife got the wrong burger and I called and asked what it was about. Answer: they didn't have the selected burger anymore so they sent another one. The fries, 2 sauces and a cheeseburger were also missing. The manager asked me to please come over so I could get the money back for the ONE burger 😂!!! Thank you no absolute load

The good: the food is freshly prepared and the franchise location is really nicely done. I ordered from the vending machine that was set up. The bad thing: there were errors in the ordering process itself; you could add dishes that were then later rejected as available. The error message is not particularly helpful in correcting the order. What's really bad is that the order isn't prepared the way you ordered it. Ingredients are left out, explicitly unsubscribed items are included. Since this has already happened to me several times, the corresponding deduction and the harsh assessment. Please try harder! Addendum: The error in the ordering system can still be reproduced even after months. Even if it is reported. You get a shrug of the shoulders. For eating and preparation: Compared to the last visit - much better! The burger was prepared very appetizingly. Keep it up!

Worst Burger King I really know from Hamburg to Zurich The employees all look listless, and many of them can't speak English or German, so a third person had to be called in. I ordered something, saw that a bunch of bullets had been picked up from the floor in the back and I went out again

The wopper was quickly ordered and paid for. So now take a bite and now oh man, it's just lukewarm. Back to the counter and complained...Answer, that's always the case, should we put it in the microwave? After a short discussion I said you couldn't eat yourself. Now I went out to find a number or address at the door to complain about. So no need to go to the counter again to ask for an address to deliver the gift. Instead of an answer, a hot wopper was handed to me. I thought it would work with a hot burger......

Ordered twice and picked up once. When I picked it up, I ordered two Rösti burgers but only received one. Unfortunately I only discovered it at home and was therefore very frustrated. Then when I ordered, I ordered the Rösti burger again and this time I received it... but without the Rösti patty.. And then the last time the order was incomplete again. Experiencing something like this three times out of three is extremely frustrating.

There is soap and water for washing hands in the toilet, but no dryer (neither paper nor hand dryer). I think that's super lousy for a restaurant like this.

The quality varies extremely. Today the food was bad and not of the usual Burger King quality.

I just tried to call you several times. Apparently you don't care about the customers. I ordered my Double Whopper take away. When I opened it I asked myself where the lettuce was, what was on it as a lettuce, what it was supposed to be, cucumbers weren't on it, see Photo that's not possible, you should better train your staff in the restaurant to give such a burger over the counter 🤬

Recently refurbished restaurant with nice interior design and lot of space. I’ve been going for few lunches and it was never too busy and service was fast. Great location off the Main Street. Food was what you can expect from a Burger King.

I mean... Burger King is Burger King. Of course it tastes good, I'm currently enjoying my steakhouse menu, with the extra portion of fries that I neither ordered nor paid for :-) I was still annoyed there, there was no greeting and the 2 young ladies continued chatting happily as if I were me not there. Even if there isn't much going on in the restaurant at the moment, concentrating on the guests and the orders would still be a good idea ;-) Part 2: stand in line and wait for my take away, which was already ordered at the entrance, and have a video call with my little daughter. A gentleman runs up to me and says filming is forbidden. I answer that I'm on the phone with my daughter, he repeats that filming isn't allowed here. Burger King, teach your employees the difference between filming and video calling.... He saw the little one on the screen. Totally annoyed with you again Part 3: That's it for me and this branch. The restaurant was empty, we waited 13 minutes for 2 burgers without any extras. No wonder the restaurant is always empty

Absolutely the worst place ever! Service is terrible and unfriendly, although I can imagine it is a stressful job. Only two ordering machines out of 5 working and people were taking forever as it is a complicated system. Tried to order ONE thing I forgot to order from the counter but was refused. There were 5 of us eating here and a 7 year old child urgently needed to go to the toilet. No toilet available because it was allegedly broken. The child wasn't even allowed to use the staff toilet. I call it child-friendly differently. That was the last time we went to a Burger King.

Unhygienic toilet facilities, a real mess

Stupid dog can't give you the right food after waiting 40 minutes. That's why it's still happening.

The food wasn't fresh and didn't taste good either. The dessert (brownie) was dry and the onion rings were very disappointing.

I didn't like the onions at all! Burger was without sauce. Brownie was like it had been kept in the cellar for 100 years. I didn't like anything. My brother who is 7 would do better.

Waited 30 minutes to order, didn't get a ticket at the machine and now I have to wait a day until I can prove that I paid for it and get my money back!! everyone who works there can announce it!

I'M ACTUALLY VERY SATISFIED WITH THE BK AT CLARAPALTZ BUT TODAY I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED.. IT'S A PATH THAT BK EMPLOYEES TALK LIKE THAT TO THE GUESTS..

It has been five orders at Claraplatz, each on a different day and every(!) order had either mixed up the menu or was missing some products entirely. I have eaten and still will eat at BK, however that won't happen and Claraplatz...

Today we had one of our best burgerking experiences. Nevertheless, 3 of our pigs were forgotten (we got one for free afterwards as compensation). When I tried the onion rings I experienced a taste experience on a completely new level. Unfortunately, we still haven't been able to make reservations for our regular spot. Nevertheless, we would love to come here again. Kind regards MMA

Every time the food was bad... a complete disaster! The chilli cheese nuggets are also always hard and no longer fresh. The same for the onion rings.

The tables had leftover food stuck on the seats. Chicken nuggets dry and cold as if they were 1 week old and the onion rings were the same.

1A ambient! Customer satisfaction is our top priority here. I can only recommend this Burger King!
