American-style restaurant, great decoration. Fine food and shakes. Hot dog is super nice...unfortunately no longer available...but the burgers are also super tasty. Nice service.

A very pleasant place with American burgers and shakes. The menu is really extensive, we have a selection of different types of burgers, ordered alone or together with fries. One can choose different side dishes like onion rings and more. You can also increase the amount of meat in each burger for an additional charge. The burgers themselves are really tasty. Very good quality of meat and fresh vegetable side dishes. But I have two comments. There was only one waiter and for such a large restaurant it's clearly not enough. The second comment concerns the meat. The beef was of very good quality and comes from Switzerland, but the chicken surprisingly comes from Brazil and was not that good. It's a little strange that no attention is paid to the quality of the meat in question. Still recommended.

The burgers and milkshakes were great!

Employee was not customer friendly at all. Cold food was served and the meat was raw. We ordered sour cream and were served yogurt. After a complaint he gave a candid response.

I ordered a burger with cream cheese, and as you can see, it had no cream cheese at all. The fries were cold and were not fresh but frozen and were served cold Were not friendly at all.

Very nice atmosphere. Sometimes a bit chilly in winter. Service very accommodating. Burger selection could be a little more. But I drive 30km every few months to eat a burger. That says something. Meat comes from the local butcher shop which is a family business. Come back.

Great range of burgers and perfectly cooked fries. I recommend the pulled pork and BBQ sauce burger. Friendly service with great atmosphere - well done. Picture doesn't do justice to the meal 😀

Was here for lunch. I liked that there wasn't much going on because we were able to order straight away and the food was ready quickly. I had the Mexican burger and I really liked it with no fries which also tasted good. Service was very friendly and quick. The only negative thing was that she spoke English. By the way, I also liked the American decor in the restaurant. Overall a Too Restaurant.

The ambience alone would have earned a sixth star! The burgers were excellent and large, freshly made. A classic cheeseburger and a pulled pork burger with coleslaw and fries were tested. There were many different, including unusual burger creations and milk shakes. However, we didn't try these. The gentleman who served us was very nice and accommodating. We visited the American Diner shortly before - who would have thought - a country concert. The music put us in the right mood.

The food was nice, but they put the same song playing the whole time while we were there: Chuck Berry, Johnny B Goode. The song is good, but I would not like to listen to it in a very long time.

It‘s not terrible, but I wouldn’t go there again… eatable, just not really tasty. Also service isn’t very good; I asume they hire who ever is the cheapest.

After years of being a customer, I definitely lost myself. Service has decreased more and more with each subsequent visit over the last few months. The ordering portal on the homepage is also arbitrarily closed, although it is open. I asked today and the cashier's response was no answer. Based on the other reviews, it really seems as if neither German nor English is now understood. Before, I thought it was just me. The last time was extraordinarily strange anyway because, despite multiple “no thanks,” I was persuaded to order delivery from the restaurant on Uber Eats in order to get a second burger for free. I still had to pay it in the end due to Uber Eats fees, which is why I refused at first. The Uber Eats driver then also helped in the kitchen, which is dubious. I think it's a shame because I like to pick something up every now and then. However, I have never wanted to eat there. Unfortunately, this is an increasingly common phenomenon with a lack of service in the restaurants in Glattpark. Apparently the restaurants here are getting too cozy and I just don't support that kind of thing in my area.

I think something like that was just cheeky. They wanted to order food to take away and they told us it wasn't possible. They were only open for 10 minutes, even though they were open until 11:30 and it was only half past 10. Just cheeky and it's a shame they probably didn't have the money necessary 😡

The service was simply perfect. Very friendly and motivated. The burgers are top notch and the fries taste very good with them. The milkshakes taste very good, not too sweet and very fruity👍

5 stars, BUT: the burger was good, service excellent, fries ok and the shake not so good. The BUT refers to the concept, 60s US burger shop is not my thing and the music certainly isn't and it's annoying 🤷‍♂️ especially since it's also loveless - what's an industrial refrigerator doing in the room... Price/performance doesn't suit lunchtime at all +25CHF is OK for the evening but during the day it's a different card...

Food was good but it took 45 minutes to get it. Fun atmosphere but no air-conditioning. If you are not in a hurry the food is worth it.

Very bad service. I was here very often and enjoyed it, but with the new “Store Manager”, that’s what he calls himself, the management definitely made the wrong decision. Totally unsympathetic and particularly cheeky. When I paid, I was told that I should never come here again while he was working. The customers had to pick up the drinks themselves and were treated to a small “dessert” from him. What a coincidence that more reviews like this were made today. (I'm not surprised, though).

I ordered a menu to pick up. On the website it explicitly says "a soft drink of your choice", but when I picked up my menu it said that drinks were not included.

The service doesn't speak German. Food is cold and expensive.

Drenched through the heavy rain in Glattpark, I happened upon Burgers & Shakes by chance. So I thought I would give myself a break and eat something. I sat alone in the restaurant with another guest (also alone 2 tables away), ordered something to eat/drink and I have to say! Pleasant ambience American style, service very friendly! And the food (burgers, especially shakes) were so delicious! I had such a good experience at Burgers & Shakes in the bad rainy weather that I have already made my second visit with my girlfriend and have several more visits to come to Burgers & Shakes. Although we didn't sit inside due to the nice weather, the interior was nicely decorated (American style). The food tasted very good and the service was friendly. The only thing that bothered me was the deep table outside. Otherwise everything was great, thank you!

No matter how good the food is, the delivery service's criminal behavior completely ruins the company for me. I will never order anything from there! In a convoy I was overtaken on the scooter at full throttle and at minimum distance for no reason. I then had to stop right at the side. Fries were good, burgers were very bad - I now have a huge stomach ache from it.

The decor is nice and you get a fun, American diner vibe. The waitress was friendly and helpful but doesn't speak German so if you don't speak English it's difficult. The waiter who brought the food spoke so unintelligibley that we couldn't even tell which language he was speaking. They only offer 1 veggie burger instead of offering every burger with meat or veggie patty - I just don't get this type of management! The food was bland, I could hardly taste the gorgonzola so I guess there wasn't much used. There was hardly any lettuce or other salad stuff which you get in other burger places. The meat patty needs a lot of work on the taste and it wasnt cooked enough for my liking, it was too pink. The buns fell apart really soon so they should find better ones. The fries were ok but nothing special. We had to wait a long time as 2 people had ordered the huge burger with 7 patties each and the kitchen doesn't have the capacity to cook many patties at once. Also, people who ordered after us got their food before us. The kitchen is open so the whole dinner including you and your clothes smell of oil and fried food. The prices are low compared to burger places in Zurich but even so, I don't think I'll go again as I can make better burgers at home.

The ventilation wasn't on or was defective, which is a disaster in a burger joint. The air was correspondingly stuffy, greasy (I can feel the grease sticking to my clothes). The service was very friendly, but we (three people) all received the wrong burgers. Since the people at the surrounding tables had also gotten the wrong burgers, the wrong burgers were almost forced on us. Since the waiting time for the order is almost 20 minutes. After a while we accepted the burgers without hesitation the second time we put them down. The food was just warm, I don't want to go into more detail about the food. The dipping sauces for the fries only came when the plate was already empty, the onion rings were forgotten on the pass (came about 15 minutes later). When it came to paying, the terminal was suddenly at fault, although it had already worked without any problems in two out of three cases. I wanted to give a decent tip, but according to the statement I couldn't use the terminal and didn't have any cash with me. Furnishings, atmosphere, everything was TOP, really inviting, but I won't be paying the restaurant a second visit.

The burger is just disgusting. Never had such a bad burger. Don't understand the good reviews. The meat also has a strange gray color that you would otherwise only see from frozen patties, definitely not fresh minced meat. Absolute waste of money. Never again.

Fine dining with cool American decoration. There is a variety of different large burgers and, for dessert, very fine and beautifully prepared milkshakes that will fill you up more than just.

We walked pass by and saw this burger restaurant so we tried. They serve fresh burgers. But we didn't have to wait for too long. It tasted OK for the price. They gave us free soft drink. It's a "combo". Hamburger with french fries and a bottle of soft drink. Worth to try if your heart need fast food once a while.

It is a great place for burgers and hot dogs. With American hot dogs, they are a great alternative to the many other burger outlets.

You don't get full like you do in America

The location is nicely decorated to give you that American vibe. A large variety of burgers can be ordered. I tried the "Hard working man" with sweet fried potatoes but I was not that impressed. It's decet for a lunch break.

I always find it interesting to see a foreign interpretation of an American burger. This place does it quite well. Burger was cooked perfectly, toppings were great, and the Swiss really do french fries better than Americans! It's all about the Sunflower oil!! Atmosphere was quaint and fun, and the service was excellent. Very friendly, helpful, and pleasant. Great dining experience.

Very bad! We ordered online, they took the order and the money, almost two hours after the order nothing came, we called, no one answered and in the end we found out that they took the money but the store is closed and nobody delivers. I don't recommend it and we won't go there again.

The name says it all! There are delicious burgers and shakes in an American style and atmosphere. The burgers are tasty and the portions are sufficient.

We get assistance while ordering the food and they get it customized as well, removing bacon, adding veggies and chicken. Prompt delivery, cozy ambience!

Burgers were freshly prepared. Unfortunately, the taste was nothing special. The fries with cheese sauce were very mushy. The cheese sauce tasted extremely artificial. The coleslaw was delicious. I wouldn't want to eat there again. Payment possible with credit card.

They lost a good client today. I ordered several times from this restaurant and I came here at the place. Last time that I was there, I said a burger without cheddar and they brought me with in. Now I was there to take a shake with the vanilla donut topping and instead of putting on the top (with the donut cut or the whole one) they chopped it inside without telling me anything. And they say just “ yeah you know it’s inside and that’s all”. Sorry I didn’t pay more for that. The food normally is quite good not excellent. Personal doesn’t know good English or German

We ordered take-out for the first time and everything went smoothly and very quickly! The employees are very friendly, the food was fantastic and the decor was great (we'll definitely stop by for a meal there too). The prices are not without their fair share, but when I think about how much rent the operators in this insurance yield bunker are likely to get, then that's not surprising.

I had to put one star by necessity. This is a zero star review. Worst service ever and extremely expensive for such poor food. Delivery had the wrong address by an automated app fault ( next door basically was the actual address) , they called me and I went out the door to take my order. Aggressive, disrespectful and agitated because he was 2 minutes late. Good thing kids weren't close by. He came face to face with me at my own door step. Called the place to complaint about this awful experience and their reply was " if you dont like...dont order again". I guess the delivery has noone to teach him about being professional. A good 40 fr wasted on extremely bad professionals. A waste of 25 fr for such a poor, blant burger. Basically almost a Rip off ( I laid around whatever was inside there and threw it in the garbage).

Great place, excellent food! Visited on a Monday without reservation. Tasty burger with “honest” meat - looked and tasted like a home made beef patty. The menu offers a choice of burgers and for a reasonable surcharge you upgrade to a menu that includes a drink and french fries. We took a normal sized burger and the pulled pork burger. We were not asked how we wanted it cooked but the burger was well done/medium. The burgers were well dressed with toppings and just the right amount of sauce. The fries were nice and crispy but not hard. The place styles itself online as a 50s style diner but that was hard to recognize once inside. From a purely subjective perspective I found the lighting to be a little too dark in the sense that it wasn’t giving me first impressions of warmth/welcoming/pleasant. The bar was dark and an illuminated strip along the ceiling (as seen in blue on online pictures) was not working. The prices are extremely fair and by Swiss measures can even be considered low. We saw the shakes passing by our table several times, as they were brought to other customers. Thank god we did not order any because they were HUGE! we saw different flavors and each one looked fantastic with wonderful presentation. The seating and tables were comfortable and even though not specifically “poppin’ that 50s vibe” appeared to be tailor-made. The staff was friendly and patient. At the end they gave us a HUGE surprise which really blew us away as it was so unexpected and underscored their kindness and dedication. This was our first visit but DEFINITELY not the last! Highly recommended for lunch or a casual dinner with friends and/or family Second visit this time with the family, great food again! This time we ordered the jr., the working mans, the mexican, the pulled pork and added the menu option to all (a very reasonable +6.50chf for drink and fries). The meats are sourced from a local butcher so you dont get none of those compressed frozen discs here! The drinks concept has changed a little; now you take your own soda/canned drinks from a fridge. We saw a few milkshakes flying by and we were glad we didnt order them. These good looking things were HUGE and certainly would have spoilt our appetite! Perfect option for uncomplicated dining fair priced good quality home made burgers.
