Bürgli in Zürich

We came here for lunch on a Sunday and overall it was a nice experience! I believe coming in summer and sitting in the garden it would be even better. Overall the food was good. Nothing spectacular, normal CH food, with normal prices. Service was also quite good! So overall happy.

A great restaurant with very friendly service and a nice ambience. The food was heavenly. We felt very comfortable. Our dog was also welcome. Thanks for that. We'd love to come back.

Wow, wow and wow again. My husband and I ate at Bürgli for the first time with friends on Saturday evening. I am still amazed by the outside area and the interior inside. The service was very personable and attentive (a woman with tied blonde hair). In addition to her professional manner, she was also funny and joked about my husband and his half liter of white wine. The food was fantastic; fresh, perfectly served warm and simply great in terms of taste! The price-performance ratio was more than fair, especially for Zurich! We'll definitely be back, the Bürgli literally blew us away!

The color concept of the hall is a matter of taste - not mine, but it is nice and bright and friendly. The younger woman is very friendly and did a great job. Very attentive and helpful. The older gentleman was stressed and didn't always get along well with his customers. Didn't finish listening or gave a snappy answer. And he wasn't paying attention either. I had to ask for an espresso, I was never given more water... The Riesling soup was very tasty. I was a little disappointed with the main course. He was pretty bland in my opinion.

My friends and I received the recommendation for this restaurant via social media. The description was very good and our expectations were correspondingly high. It started with the reservation. The parking spaces were rather limited so we had to park nearby (50m), which wasn't a problem. We ordered a starter (salad), main course (entrecôte) and dessert (chocolate cake and a white chocolate mousse). We were all incredibly excited. The entrecôte was perfectly cooked to the desired degree of doneness and was incredibly tasty. The fries a Discretion were also very good and I almost drank the sauce. The accompanying wine, which was recommended to us by the great waiter, was also very suitable and delicious. Conclusion about the meal: It was a feast and everyone in the group was thrilled. About the service: The waiter was very friendly and funny and adapted to our relaxed approach, which was very good for us young adults. We felt very comfortable. About the price: Not cheap, but absolutely justified for what you get. We go there for special occasions and you are aware of what you are paying but also very happy with what you get. I'm happy to pay 70 francs for three courses. With wine and beer accompaniment this became more, but we were aware of it. Conclusion to everything: We agreed that this was in the top 3 restaurant visits we've made in the last 2 years where we eat out as a group once a week. People are happy to tip a little more. We will definitely stop by again.

Four of us had dinner on Saturday evening, the restaurant was packed but it was still very cozy. We all ordered the Entrecote Cafe de Paris, the meat was incredibly tender and literally melted in the mouth, the sauce was super tasty, fries were super fresh and the cellar, who was very attentive, kept coming with more supplies, we took a vegetable Plättli for everyone, everything fresh and crunchy and delicious. The price really surprised me in a positive way, I expected more given the quality. So the long journey was more than worth it and I (we) will definitely come back!

The food at Bürgli was fantastic and the atmosphere was super cozy. Unfortunately, the service definitely could have been better. The service definitely could have been friendlier. There was no reason why our waitress had to come back to make an odd comment that we hadn't ordered something that she simply forgot to bring.

We have booked a family Christmas dinner, as we have done for many years. This time, despite the initial statement to the contrary, we have to choose between 2 meat menus and the starters are also limited to 2... the kitchen would be small... so who on December 3rd. book... there is beef and leaf salad, everything else is too much for the service/cook.

Definitely the best “Entrecote Café de Paris” in Zurich. The quality of the food is simply top, very good offer for meat lovers and vegetarians. The service was incredibly accommodating and fulfilled our every wish. The ambience is also wonderful, with a terrace with a beautiful lake view in summer.

My husband and I went to Restaurant Bürgli for the first time today. The food was delicious and the service was very authentic :) I liked the meat best in the Cafe de Paris sauce, absolutely recommended! I found the arrangement of the meat to be a great experience (it is served on candles) The dessert was also very good, we had chocolate cake and cheesecake. It is clear to us that we would like to come back

As always, the food was very good, the waiter at the table was nice and accommodating and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Unfortunately the waitress wanted to give me a table in the middle. When booking I made a request for a table with a lake view. She said if I lifted up a bit I could see the lake. She wasn't willing to give me another table even though almost everyone was free. Luckily my friends already had another table. The waitress said she didn't know I was part of it even though everything was under my name. A pity!! It could have been perfect.

Excellent Swiss food. I recommend the sliced ​​meat with their sauce which is really special which is served with french fries. The panna cotta is also excellent. Kind service

Cozy restaurant with an appealing menu and wine list (pricing of the wines is very fair!). Because food is good, service is ok. The food lacks that certain something extra; was better on our previous visits.

Food is definitely of good quality and tasty. The restaurant has a nice garden with view on the lake and is located in a calm area outside of the city center. Service is, let's say, "authentic" - if they are annoyed you will know. No go on an international level, more or less normal in Switzerland (?).

The price/performance is right.

When interested in spending a bit more on a lovely experience, I hope to have as wonderful an experience here as I had the first time: great service, great food, lovely atmosphere at their outdoor seating when the weather is good. (I don't yet know what they do when it rains? There are also tables indoors. Do outdoor reservations get cancelled?)

Good food for sure in beautiful environment. We were ignored for a while but that was an oversight by the wait staff. I enjoyed the house specialty but would not rave about it. The staff were friendly and the view is worth it all!

Entrecote, fries, salad, bread... ALL VERY FINE. Panna cotta consistency resembled a chunk of concrete... a shame! Service was a bit unpleasantly resolute... perhaps because the kitchen was just before room time? We will still go back to have a good meal. Many thanks to Bürgli.

Tasty food in a cozy environment very good service

Despite the beautiful house, view and delicious food, the poor service and attitude of the staff made it nearly impossible to enjoy our time there. It's a shame that such a lovely restaurant could be so tainted by such an unfriendly and unprofessional staff. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant dining.

Second time in this restaurant, this time for a business lunch. The dining room is divided in 3 parts. During summer they have a beautiful terrace and grill option. Service is friendly and works well, although I felt some tension on my last visit among themselves. Food is well prepared and nicely presented: it’s the standard expectation for such a restaurant in Zurich. We had the business lunch, which was fish and a classic parmigiana. There was no opportunity to look at the wine list, but I vaguely recall from my first visits they had a good selection. I will see that I come again during the summer and will update the review.

We were guests for a birthday party in the small hall on the upper floor. The welcome was warm and we were looked after very well. We had a waiter in charge who managed the event with 16 people excellently. The food was excellent: we had the entrecôte cafe de paris with fries and vegetables. Before that, salad or soup and a small dessert. You could order individual degrees of doneness for the meat, which would then be delivered accordingly. The portion is huge and it fills you up well. I can't say anything about the price or how the organization went. But I can recommend the Bürgli as a restaurant. :)

Had a special beef plate, and endless french fries, and a very nice Italian wine along with some work mates, reservations were essential, great somewhat quiet setting.

Seven of us went there for dinner (birthday) on a Sunday. I know the place from a few years ago. Unfortunately the service is unfriendly and cold. The food is mediocre, overpriced and the atmosphere is uneasy. Absolutely not recommended for group meals.

Lots of attention to detail, personal, very professional service, quality through and through. And that... always.

Food was just okaish, and very uninspiring. Service was slightly rude, and very inattentive (wasn't approached for dessert or the bill for more than ten minutes, and had to go to the waiters in the end).
