One of the best in the city of Zurich. You have to experience it.

Cosy & homey is what best summarizes my experience here! I really liked the calm atmosphere, nice decor, very friendly service as well as the food. I did find the prices too high however. What is being offered is nothing more than bistro food, albeit good, but in my opinion does not justify ~45 francs for a Schnitzel for example...

Was there just 2 weeks ago and it was game season so was looking forward to some nice venison with traditional spätzli when we were not disappointed at all. The staff was very friendly, first had some wine at the bar and nice Pinot later on during the meal. The starter ravioli were divine and the main course was excellent too. We did not have a dessert since we were full after that tasty meal. Would return in a heartbeat. Thanks to the Hermanseck team. Very good work.

The Hermanseck in Wiedikon has a very special meaning for me and my work colleagues. We go there regularly for lunch, and every visit is the perfect break in the middle of our daily work routine. The atmosphere is unique - the interior is cozy and stylish at the same time, and the small but lovely guest garden is a real gem, especially in the warmer months. The changing lunch menu always offers new culinary discoveries, but I often find myself eating Wiener Schnitzel or Tartare - two dishes that are simply well prepared there. It is this mix of the familiar and the new that makes Hermanseck so special for me. The operation contributes significantly to the feeling of well-being. Regardless of whether we come in a smaller or larger group of colleagues, the service is always friendly, attentive and efficient. It is obvious that the guest is the focus here. I really appreciate having a restaurant nearby that I can rely on, whether for a quick lunch with colleagues or for special occasions. The Hermanseck is more than just a place to eat – it is a place of community and enjoyment. It's not just the quality of the food or the friendliness of the staff that keeps me coming back, but the overall experience. For all these reasons, it is a place that I enjoy visiting again and again and that I can warmly recommend to anyone who values ​​quality, ambience and genuine hospitality.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening in the romantic outdoor area under the vines. The service was extremely friendly and arranged in such a way that you are in a good mood after a hard day at work. The menu is deliberately kept small but there is still something for everyone. Everything was so delicious that we were really spoiled for choice as to what to order. Finally, for starters we decided on the wonderfully creamy and delicately flavored coconut-lemongrass soup and the tomato trilogy, a feast for the eyes and the palate. The main courses, a lamb fillet on super airy couscous and the spare ribs were also a hit. A variety of flavors of fruity sweetness, saltiness and slight spiciness in both dishes... wonderful. The fruity trilogy and the daily dessert made from mango, passion fruit and lychee formed a harmonious conclusion. The espresso was also excellent. Thank you to the Herman team for this wonderful summer evening.

We visited here during game season. The food is very good and the service is friendly. That also has its price, but I was happy to pay it. One criticism: During our visit we noticed that there was a lot going on. The service ran back and forth and seemed quite stressed at times. When paying, they didn't pay attention to the guests who had already been served and after countless unsuccessful attempts to make eye contact, I just went to the counter. However, they apologized and didn't charge for the aperitif drink, which calmed the anger about the long wait a bit.

We went here with a group of 7 friends for dinner on a Saturday. We had reserved the table in advance. Unfortunately the restaurant did not live up to our expectations and we were quite disappointed. The quality of the food was a mix, the meat was really good while the side dishes such as Spätzle or Marroni were really dry and you had to soak them in sauce to eat. The worst part though was the service who forgot orders, did not know what glass to use to serve things like Martini Bianco and when serving wine did everything wrong (touching the glass, serving wine like beer). Additionally, the price for a vegetarian main was around 35chf which is more on the upper level which would be fine if the service would perform. However we would not recommend going if you expect something special. There are so many great restaurants in Zurich but this one is unfortunately just average.

Tartare was large but tasted bland, lamb rump was nicely prepared but fried a little too long (no longer pink). Went with "Eating out" and probably won't be going back for the time being.

We loved the asparagus risotto, the meat, fish, vegetables. I was personally impressed by the goat cheese creme brûlé as appetiser. I found it very original to rethink completely goat cheese. We and our dog enjoyed a peaceful evening with very attentive service and excellent cuisine. At the beginning a small warm soup was served, which could easily be enjoyed without a spoon. A bowl of lettuce or the finely caramelized goat cheese satisfied the first hunger. Great restaurant for a quick lunch - they have 3 weekly lunch menus veg/ meat/ fish(18.50-28 CHF incl salad or soup) and are conveniently located next to Wiedikon station. Very traditional Swiss restaurant with good service. Worth a try! Convenient location, great service and good food. Last time I tried the vegi menu (halloumi and cous cous) - it wasn’t (as light) as I had expected, wouls give it a 7/10. In the past I had other dishes (especially pasta/ meat/ fish) that were really tasty. 🌱👌🏼♥️ only downside was the “Züriwasser” for 6 CHF (with a menu costing 18 CHF)… 😩

Take Away vom Herman macht glücklich: Brasato ( vom Schulterspitz!!) und Ossbuco butterzart und saftig mit üppig Sauce und Schmorgemüse, die veganen Linsen mit Kokossauce sehr fein abgeschmeckt ( wüsste gerne womit?). Unkompliziert zum Bestellen und Abholen, man kann das Essen auch schon vorgewärmt abholen. Wir kommen wieder. So oder so!

Aufgrund der aktuellen Situation haben wir das to-Go Angebot des Restaurants genutzt. Das Abholen lief unkompliziert und es gab eine Anleitung zum korrekten erwärmen der Gerichte. Geschmacklich war es große Klasse, wir kamen aus dem schwärmen nicht heraus! Absolut zu empfehlen! Das einzige was gefehlt hat, was die herzliche Bedienung des Hermanseck-Teams! Wir werden sicher wieder den Herman im Sack bestellen!
