It is not normal that in high season, at the beginning of August, after 2.5 hours of hiking, it is not possible to find an open refreshment bar to quench your thirst while making the grand tour of the Chia and in high temperatures. We had our drink for the base but.... it's a big mistake on a tourist level. We weren't alone on the circuit though!

If you are looking for a beautiful place for peaceful walks in the middle of the Swiss mountains, La Chia is the ideal place. The views of the mountains are absolutely breathtaking. The La Chia restaurant is also a real delight. The food is delicious and fresh, with quality local ingredients. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is comfortable and warm. It is perfect for a pleasant and relaxing break after a day of walking in the mountains.

Great welcome, very pretty setting, very good food (fresh homemade fries for example) price more than fair in view of the quality, the location due to the fact that it is a micro ski resort. We'll come back to that.

I asked to pay by card or twint because not enough cash. The owner's response was borderline insulting. He says: don't forget that you are in a high altitude lodge, it's cash here. I felt like I was being taken for a m**** (it's barely 10 minutes from the bubble). No sign to give a minimum amount to pay by card. Finally, the owner suddenly and strangely accepts the payment by twint. Really not very pleasant in summary. I hope that the next customers will be better received.

Good morning, I leave very few negative reviews but I was so surprised by such an action that I found it necessary to leave a review on this subject. According to the notes, the dishes seem delicious, but the welcome was (in our case) absolutely execrable. No hello, no goodbye from the owner of the establishment who was on the verge of insulting us, since according to him, it would be rude to ask for access to the toilets for a pregnant woman (under 33 degrees) in exchange for paid consumption. Monsieur does not take euros or credit cards (or perhaps only from locals?). We are not the only ones in this situation since other French people (present at the event we were going to) told us that they were not able to consume on site because of these instructions. I would like to point out that when leaving, my companion insisted on leaving €5 out of principle and respect for the person who runs the place (the person who runs the establishment did not even want to take them in person, he had to leave on the table where he was taking a break). We were polite, smiling, we offered to pay for a drink in exchange for the amenities, we even left €5 despite the owner's insulting behavior, I don't see what more we could have done? I hope that our experience is an isolated case, I wish future visitors to have more luck than us.

Nous nous sommes rendus dans ce restaurant un dimanche à midi et notre expérience a été très décevante. En effet, le patron, visiblement dépassé ou de mauvaise humeur, a refusé de nous servir le plat que nous désirions manger, à savoir du jambon avec frites (plat bien de chez nous n'est-ce pas?) ceci malgré le fait qu'il figurait au menu bien visible sur le tableau noir situé à l'entrée. "Ce jour nous ne servons qu'un menu chasse ou de la fondue"nous a dit la serveuse. OK. Mais ce qui nous a le plus troublés c'est que le patron nous a accueillis en nous disant que nous ne pouvions pas rester à la table où nous nous avions choisi de prendre place sous pretexte que la distance entre la table voisine et la nôtre n'était pas respectée (mesures COVID obligent)??? Par contre, ce que nous n'avons pas apprécié c'est que pour les 2 tables voisines la mesure n'était pas du tout respectée!!! Et cela ne le gênait visiblement pas. Cherchez l'erreur?? Nous avons pu tout de même prendre place à une autre table car un couple sympathique s'est déplacé afin de maintenir une distance raisonnable. Ce changement de situation lui aurait'il déplu?? Toutefois devant tant de mauvaise foi et d'excuses idiotes de la part du patron, nous avons préféré boire notre verre et partir sans manger et ainsi faire ce qu'indirectement le patron a voulu nous faire comprendre.
