Deliciously eaten a croute! Very pleasant and helpful service, even with our poor French. How wonderful it is to sit on a beautiful terrace with the high mountains around us.

A magnificent place with a simple alpine refreshment service. Too bad the owner doesn't have a sense of hospitality with his annoying remarks. If customers with dogs disturb them, you must say so clearly or put up signposts. Small aside: the crusts are no longer what they used to be. We won't come back to that. The people of La Fontaine

First of all, they only take cash. Second; great for traditional dish food “baked cheese” and amazing meringue dessert with double whipped cream. And on top great views.

We had dinner tasting a typical "very good" dish, we tasted an excellent wine 🇨🇭 and to finish with incredible slices of apricot and strawberry cake, all at an honest price. The place is lovely! Perfect for families with small children and for all those people who like to spend time immersed in unspoiled nature. Excellent Alpine cuisine, in a magnificent setting with various rooms and a large terrace. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the prices very attractive. The staff is smiling and gives good advice on the region and its walking possibilities. The parking lot is large and free, there are play areas for children.

Fairly average reception, prices higher than other shelters. We took the famous crust which is nothing exceptional a slice of white bread a mini slice of an industrial ham small layer of industrial cheese pineapples and 6 strips of onions. It's more like half a croque monsieur only a cheese crust and honestly we didn't see what cooking over a wood fire brought other than waiting 30 minutes.

Simply the best cheese crusts in the world cooked in the vegetable garden over a wood fire, which gives the bread an incomparable crunch! We enjoy the view of the Dents du Midi while waiting for the fire to do its work. All the products are local and excellent and the prices are very reasonable. In short, a must in the region!

This place is authentic. The panorama is completely clear at 360 degrees. The staff are friendly helpful and hardworking. The food is of excellent quality and, above all, some dishes are prepared on an old-fashioned stove. The price is more than fair, it's cheap. I highly recommend this place

Magnificent high-altitude refreshment bar, accessible on foot, by car, by bike or on horseback. Superb setting with a beautiful view. Drinks at a reasonable price (but it remains a high-altitude refreshment bar). We were served by teenagers who had summer jobs.
