Amazing traditional Swiss food. Attentive and friendly service, great atmosphere at the base of some beautiful mountains. The rosti was great and they have a couple choices of fondus (truffle and black pepper was fantastic). Will definitely return if in the area again.

Magnificent place, traditional cuisine using beautiful products, low prices. Fondues, cheese crust, röstis and chalet macaroni: you will find everything that Swiss cuisine does best. We are always very well received by the owner and her team. In short, we love it.

Wonderful little hidden gem. After driving past it for years I decided to stop for lunch and take in the local scenery. Lunch was not disappointing. Lovely roast beef.

It is a great shame that this establishment, which is usually a friendly place, with typically Friborg dishes and good service, has become a success which for me is very poorly managed on this Pentecost day. The weather attracted a lot of people, resulting in a wait of 1 hour 15 minutes to be served pasta from the chalet with a rancid aftertaste.

When we go to Charmey it is a must. It is always a pleasure to have lunch in this beautiful little place lost in the green mountains. Typical dishes of the region (fondue, croûte au fromage, rösti, etc.) prepared with zero km products. Even vegetarians can find some delicious options such as rösti with vegetables or soupe du chalet. Owners and staff very friendly as always.

We were recommended the place and frankly it was great! We had the terrine as a starter, the medallions as a main course, and meringue for dessert. We look forward to returning and recommend it to everyone. You can go there with your eyes closed 😉

Very nice setting, we had come before but never to eat. The food is good, local products. The waitress is friendly but unfortunately the wait was very long. She made us go after people who arrived after us because they were regulars who came on their break (if I understood correctly). It was quite assumed but not very correct.

Completely overwhelmed by their success! The wine arrived at the end of the meal. Not acceptable. Very very long wait, dessert at 3 p.m. even though we had reserved. The service is competent and friendly but completely outdated

A very lucky discovery for the day. Mostly regional specialities, with cheese, butter and part of the meat directly from their own farm. Plates are huge but delicious, everything is very fresh and tasty. Seat inside where it's cool despite the 25° outside, or on the sunny but shaded terrace outside. Various wines, liquors and soft drinks. And let's not forget the sweets and desserts that are equally wonderful. (Picture: assiette gourmande).

The quality of the food was very good and the taste was very fine. Had the specialty platter. Although cheese is mainly produced here, I had to look for the cheese on the plate. Price performance sufficient.

Very bad reception. After we were allowed back in with our dog, not even settling in, the boss told us out loud and in front of the customers that our dog's place was outside with the pigs. Very bad experience. Not recommended if you have a dog.

Beautiful almost alpine decor. Refreshment bar adjoining the cheese and butcher farm. So good products, also on sale at the refreshment bar. However, some other products do not seem homemade (raw vegetables, sauces...?)
