Caboulis in Nendaz

A simply magnificent place in the heart of the Alps, with the ski slopes which give direct access to the terrace! Great staff and super friendly! You had the chance to discover the ‘O Caboulis while a music group, the “old bombs”, were playing on the terrace! Great atmosphere! Congratulations to the entire Ô Caboulis team.

The welcome, by a blonde lady with short hair, is pleasant and friendly. Everything goes well until the dishes arrive. Not knowing the principle and not having received any explanation upon our arrival, we did not know that we had to wait each time for our turn to receive a beating of cheese served by the "passenger". There were about twenty of us in the restaurant who had a raclette, it's a bit long to wait between 2 slices! And the dry tone and the remarks made by this lady (loud enough for us to clearly hear them) ended up ruining the evening for us. We left without asking for our rest and we will not return there again. 37 euros per person for 5 slices of raclette and a bit of cold meats to share with no refills possible, we found that a bit excessive!

The setting is beautiful, but the service is frankly unpleasant, even unfriendly. So-called all-you-can-eat raclette, except for cold meats and accompaniments. Potatoes and cheese are unlimited, it’s true. But you have to be very patient, since only one cheese circulates for the entire restaurant…. And all this for a price that makes you cringe when the bill arrives... In short, leave there with the feeling of having been cheated... never again!

Adorable little chalet on the slopes. If the sun is out, you can even be served by cable car. A little expensive but those are mountain prices. I've been going there for 20 years, always with pleasure :) And it's even open every evening except Monday for a good after-ski atmosphere.

Plats pour enfants adaptés. Et très bonne croûte locale. Service sympa. Comme presque partout dans la station pas de American Express.
