Cafè am Rheinquai in Feuerthalen

Had a chai latte, which unfortunately didn't taste like it at all. Milk with sugar and some spice on top. For the price I would have expected more. Summit was served warm and was very good. The service was friendly, but unfortunately the wrong thing was prepared in the kitchen and then charged for (we kept the drink, otherwise they would have thrown it away, and ordered a new one). When we pointed this out, we were harshly rebuffed. A no-go for me.

Positive: Nice location on the Rhine. The service at the table was nice and brought us a missing chair. Thanks! It is also positive that oat milk is available for people with lactose intolerance or simply a vegan diet. The corn butter peaks are delicious. Mediocre: Had a chai latte that didn't taste like chai latte. Was more milk with sugar syrup and some spices on top. No chai tea in it. Not my taste. Unfortunately negative: we were brought the wrong drink. We asked what they would do with it if we didn't take it. Since they had to destroy it, we just took it and requested the drink we actually wanted again. Unfortunately we were charged in full for this incorrect drink. When we brought this up while paying, we were asked (a bit cheeky for me) “whether I would like to discuss?” That wasn't so great. I'm actually of the opinion that you shouldn't charge for something like that or at least respond to such input in a friendly manner. Better to consume it than pour it down the drain, right? In the end I gave my opinion and didn't want to discuss it any further and paid for everything in full. 😅

Very friendly and attentive service, excellent coffee and homemade cakes

I was here years ago when it was still a restaurant called Fischerzunft. A lot has happened. The location is great. The outdoor area is certainly a dream in summer. Inside I felt like I was in a retirement home. You could get something out of this with the table arrangement or decoration. I decided on the Rheinfallquai breakfast and didn't regret it. It was really tasty and I was full. Delicious bread, delicious croissants, cheese, confiture, orange juice, cappuccino, yoghurt and scrambled eggs. A parking garage directly opposite.

Great location, but the service urgently needs training. Waiting time for food and drinks is too long. In addition, we were neither greeted nor said goodbye when we entered the café. Also, I'm not sure if I got the right house chocolate; CHF 7.50 for a hot chocolate with cream is too high for Schaffhausen and in relation to the other non-alcoholic drinks.

Location and location very good. Coffee and service can be improved.

Also great vegan salty foods and drinks. Unfortunately no vegan cakes, that would be very desirable!

The place seems pretty cold (despite the nice pictures) and it's very narrow. I don't like it when the people at the table next door are almost sitting on my lap. It was relatively well attended, just Sunday after the walk, we had to wait a relatively long time and then the service didn't seem very motivated or friendly. (The coffee wasn't my taste either) It's a shame, they could have gotten more out of the great location.

In any case, they can ignore guests. The chairs, however, are comfortable so that you can wait without meaning.

This restaurant is in a great location, on the beautiful Rhine. Has feel-good potential in the facility inside.

A pleasant, peaceful place, with excellent homemade hot chocolate and good cinnamon rolls. Very attentive service in English, I recommend it.

The last Saturday in September 2023 - sunny, still warm, no wind. We were busy in SH and spontaneously stopped in for breakfast. The ambience right on the Rhine in the garden is stunning, the service is cheerful and friendly, the bread is legendary and the rest of the food and drinks are also very good. The weekend can come...

The coffee and flourless cake were delicious and tasty. The places in the garden/yard were also very pleasant and the staff were also friendly. Unfortunately the café closed at 6:30 p.m. :/ It is better to arrive on foot as there are no parking spaces here.

Cafè am Rheinquai is a family haven! The staff is extraordinarily friendly, making every visit feel special. The quality of food and drink is top-notch, complemented by impeccable food. Highly recommended!

Charming café directly at the Rhine with a lovely garden with wildflowers outside, and a modern scandinavian style inside. A much calmer vibe than it’s neighbour, lovely for just allowing the world to go by. The lemonade was extremely refreshing, the ice cream portions rather generous and lovely people too! I’m looking forward to trying it out for breakfast in the near future ☺️

New on the Rheinquai, where the Ficherzunft restaurant used to be. Simple and bright restaurant/coffee shop with a lovely little garden. Very friendly service, best espresso in town.
