Very good ! , the escargots are delicious !. I was very short on time as needed to get to the airport on time. My meal was prepared very quick and to a superb standard !.

Don't ask me why this restaurant is an institution. I didn't find the answer. Located next to the airport, the establishment offers knitted rib steaks drowned in a homemade sauce which anesthetizes all the possible aromas of the meat. The food was good, ordered curry rice with vegetables and 2 burgers with fries and ice cream. Aviation-themed room with partly airplane seats and accessory furnishings and model airplanes. For the normal menu, I tasted their typical sauce to accompany the meat but I didn't like the flavor very much, I expected better. Friendly staff. Average prices. The place is a little out of the way in terms of location but easily accessible near the metro and bus stop. Near Geneva Airport and Coop area. I recommend it in general.

Service and food, everything is excellent

This link is mythically known for its meats with caravelle sauce, I can only recommend it. This establishment has been run for three generations from father to daughter and grandson.

We were very well received, the food excellent, just a shame that during the meal a 15 duluberlu all immediately started to fart with each other and we brought a speaker and we forgot that they were not all alone, a total lack of respect from the rest of the customers which forced us to shorten our evening a little. But thank you anyway to all the very professional staff and thank you the food was divine.

A famous aviation themed restaurant close to the airport. It is famous for its entrecôte with a special sauce. You can go for 180g, 270g or even higher with A380 (380g) and A500 (500g) portion of meat. First you get a portion of a green salad. Followed by their entrecôte with fries. They later serve multiple portions of fries with their famous sauce. A good choice of desserts too, such as crème brûlée or meringue avec ca double crème. You gotta come hungry if you want to eat it all as it is quite heavy. Good choice for a nice and fulfilling lunch.

Restaurant not bad but very expensive. In particular, what will mean that I will NEVER return there is the stinginess of the Prosecco at 8chf or almost 10€.

I have known this café-restaurant, well known among international employees working in Geneva, since the 70s of the last century; the premises have been redone and renovated, the food is still the same even if the quantity of butter used in the kitchen has constantly decreased over the years. Ignore the menu; those who come here do so with a single purpose, that of eating the entrecôte Caravelle, offered in four different sizes (the smallest is 180 grams), and which you can see in the photo. And you won't be disappointed; it is excellent meat, excellently cooked, and offered with the restaurant's secret sauce. Prices are expensive for an Italian, but normal for Switzerland (and Geneva in particular). It's worth eating here.

I have been a long-time customer and today, I cannot find the same caravel as before and the prices are disproportionate compared to what we have on the plate.

We had a really great time here. Staying at an airport hotel we were really considering going back into central but this was a 5 minute walk away and I’m glad we didn’t! Delicious entrecôte that was slathered in a house cafe de Paris sauce, lovely staff who were so friendly to us and our toddler. Highly recommend!

Gteat Food and service. However, very disappointing and confusing. Was informed that the restaurant closed at midnight but last order is taken at 9.30/9.45 (they stop serving 2 hours prior to closure?!!!!!!!!! Therefore, very vague as to the their closure time and the time last order is taken. There is need for proper quality control plan for the service!!!

Dinner with friends! For some of us, it was a discovery!! Nice place, with an Aviation theme. Some tables have airplane seats, very nice! A very nice collection of models on the theme, almost everywhere, as well as photos. We tasted the special Caravelle sauce, a delight! The meat was tender, accompanied by a small mixed salad and fries. You may be re-served a second time with sauce/fries. No, the A380 (380g) & A500 (500g) cannot be shared between two people, each person must order this share. As for dessert, the Tiramusu was delicious. Very good service, fast and friendly, nice atmosphere. Just a quick note regarding the fries: some were very hard...despite this, everyone finished their plate. Don't forget to Reserve in advance!!

Superbe location just opposite signature. It's been here for many many years and was the go to location for crews back at swissair times. Atmosphere is nice! Would return if in the area.

In the top ten restaurants to do in Geneva, we had not reserved and the team managed to find us a place with the bonus of the table with airplane seats to be completely in the theme (a big thank you to YOU). The service is impeccable with a good sense of humor and always a smile. Regarding the meal, it's just a treat whether it's fish or meat, the dishes are delicious not to mention the delicious dessert all in an aviation setting. The small downside is that people smoke in the veranda and this can be disturbing for those who are having a meal.

Wonderful experience! The super-polite staff ensured an immediate welcome and we were seated at a table within 30 seconds. Placing the order and receiving the food was completed within 15 minutes. The food was terrific, GRANDIOUS. It is a must to visit this restaurant.

Great restaurant! The only downside is that I ask for rosé cooking each time but I receive rare cooking instead. But that doesn't stop me from returning regularly since the quality and flavors are there.

Reference restaurant on the square. Excellent meat and excellent service. Lake Geneva perch fillets also available and very well served at a very reasonable price in Geneva. Well done for that. The terrace is fabulous in summer with the charm (which some might find negative but not me) of the sound of planes taking off or landing. It’s the aviation café! They deserve their 5 stars. The only potential (and really potential!) point of improvement would be to modernize the interior a little. But really I'm going overboard because it's still charming. Go for it !

I had to wait for 45 minutes before my order was taken, and another 30 minutes for my food to arrive. The servers were inattentive and seemed disinterested in providing good service. I felt ignored and unimportant as a customer. I ordered a steak with fries and yellow sauce, but the steak was overcooked and tough to chew. The fries were cold and soggy, and the yellow sauce tasted like it had been sitting in a jar for months. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. The restaurant was also dirty and unhygienic. The floors were sticky, the tables were stained, and the silverware looked like it had not been washed properly. I felt uncomfortable eating in such an unsanitary environment, and it was clear that the staff had not taken the necessary measures to maintain proper cleanliness. Before we leave, a second portion of dried french fries was served in a disposable napkin, without sauce, neither a hello nor a goodbye, and a totally unfriendly staff. I wonder how such a business is still open in Geneva. We would have been better off going to a fast food: AVOID !

Lunch service ask for the specialty super rare caravel but arrived overcooked meat under the dark sauce not great in addition the meat too hard very fibrous.

Haaaaa the caravelle, specialty of the house! We come there again and again for this sauce and this meat, you don't have to be on a diet but it's magnificent and we ask for more! The lasagna is good too! Weak point I find for the burgers, they are not the best I have eaten, it is perhaps a point to improve.

Still as good, but they have changed a little strategy....there is no longer the salad at the beginning which was included in the price of the caravel....you have to pay for it now it is considered as an additional starter. ..bisness? Or after Covid? It's a shame, because it's the consumer who always pays a little more....

A sure value for a very long time

We go there regularly and on November 26, we arrived at 6:00 p.m. as usual, knowing that we had to wait until 6:30 p.m. for the kitchen to open. The person who welcomed us told us that the kitchens were not open before 7:00 p.m. We were surprised and he took us a little down by telling us that this had been the case for a long time. Which is not the case in this case since we always come there at the same time…. In addition, it is also written on the site that the kitchen opens at 6:30 p.m.… We are disappointed with the last reception. However, apart from the fact that we had to complain about the meat being overcooked, once the problem was resolved, the food was delicious as usual.

Super Caravelle steak was great - soft, juicy, perfectly cooked by your order. It is strange to see steak being covered by sauce but it is delicious, fries are great too and they are unlimited. They have seasonal meat of wild animals which everyone also liked, and the desserts are superb too.

The food was not bad... but the service !!!! Waitress that doesn't know what there is in the plate of their most popular dish and the responsible of the table that cannot make a single smile. The steak was good, but the French fries... were a left over of the potatoes. I would be ashamed to serve fries with a lenght of 1 and 4 cm! 1 cola and the steak 50 CHF... I would expect something more for the price.

I came back after several years to taste the famous Caravelle entrecôte. The meat was perfect, but the sauce was definitely not as good as we remembered, it had an aftertaste of cheese. The waiter told us that the recipe was identical and that it was us who had changed... I found this remark a little inappropriate, but it will not have any influence on my 3 star rating regarding the quality of the dish served.
