9|38 Coffee House in Vernier

Wonderful coffee and ambience but waitresses are on their own schedule so they show up when they decide to and bring drinks when they want to. I did try the first couple of visits to get their attention several times at the end with eye contact and a nod, then raised the hand halfway, put a 20 franc note on the check on the table until finally to their SHOCK and HORROR I put the ball in their court by deciding to GET UP & PAY at the counter. Now I don’t have any problems anymore because that is how I pay. Great, no more waiting an extra 15 to 20 minutes to pay at the end. I don’t mind it anymore now. I noticed that the locals frantically stop them in their tracks at the table upon delivery to pay on the spot before they go off again. Might try that one today… I speak perfect French because I lived there for many years. No excuses…

Since it opened, I have often come alone for a coffee and each time I am very satisfied with the professionalism, the prices are very reasonable and it is well served with kindness and a warm attitude. The atmosphere is very peaceful despite its location in a busy transit area.

Yesterday, recommended by an excellent employee, I ate a salmon sandwich. It was delicious. It came at the exact temperature, perfect texture, delicious accompaniment. As they say,...eat and cry for more. Definitely a repeat.

After passing this café so many times without stopping, I finally took the plunge. Big surprise upon reading the card. Few dishes are offered there, and all of them use the culinary codes of the bagel while adding an unconventional touch. I choose the salmon one which has the particularity of containing apple (the fruit) and cucumber. The waitress suggests serving it cold but I had it hot as is usually done. Even if I was skeptical at first, I must admit that the sweet and savory mixture is perfectly controlled and successful. We ultimately have an exotic dish without being cloying, not too gourmet, perfect for a small midday meal. I looked at the drinks menu which is, as too often, too expensive. So I opted for a free glass of water

One of the waitresses was really not nice. Not even a smile. Not at all friendly, for the price we pay.

For me, the coffee from the 9/38 coffee house in Balexert is high quality Arabica flavor that I love tasting every time and I am very happy. What a great pleasure. Well done

Very nice place renovated, very comfortable and warm. Very friendly welcome. Fast service. Delicious crumble with excellent organic coffee. The tea/infusion is worth the detour, also for the presentation and taste. Ideal for a pleasant little break in the Balexert shopping center. I highly recommend .

One of your waitresses is not correct she meets us in balexert not even a hello as if she had never served us it's a lack of respect

In general I don't really like sandwiches, but this absolutely wonderful one 🥳 in a small Italian focaccia al (well cooked!) You will find the meat succulent in barbecue sauce and the well-chosen and crunchy vegetables ☺️ complete this sandwich beautifully 🔝🔝 🔝🔝 You will also find on your plate a small iceberg salad with fresh tomatoes and sauce (here I would have liked to be asked if I like the sauce!) The ambiance is wonderful and the staff are courteous without being too invasive. Nice experience for a Saturday 💜

This newly renovated (and renamed) coffee shop is much better than the previous, cozy and well designed. Perfect for a quick break.
