A bit noise but all else perfect

Excellent place for a business dinner and/or lunch .

The experience was neither particularly good nor bad. While the cuisine is refined, it doesn't stand out as exceptional. The servers' lack of knowledge about the aliment's origins is a shame in such an establishment. Additionally, the tables are overly close together.

Beautiful evening with a special mention to the very friendly and passionate sommelier Marc who took us on an oenological journey!

Excellent business lunch at the Café des Banques. Wild sea bass fillet accompanied by small vegetables and mashed potatoes, fine and light. There was just room for the signature three chocolate dessert, very good and with very pleasant textures in the mouth - don't hesitate!

It was a party. The cuisine is excellent, of great finesse, full of flavors. Yoann Caloué and his entire team maintain high standards on the plate and with a very friendly atmosphere. The service was perfect, excellent advice for choosing wines. A big thank-you.

To begin with, I would have appreciated a little flexibility in the menus offered in this restaurant (vegetarian options, options for those who don't like a certain fish, etc. especially when the customer explicitly requests it). The choice on the menu was unfortunately quite limited. But the most unpleasant experience was undoubtedly tasting the oxtail ravioli with its small pieces of bone too! (For proof, the attached photo). Really very unpleasant, but you have to stay positive: at least I didn't break a tooth while chewing bones! The icing on the cake: I notified the waitress of this “incident” and got absolutely no explanation or word of apology, NOTHING. This is not at all what I expected from a restaurant that I thought was of a certain category. It must not be said that I did not find their quality/price ratio fair at all. Not to be repeated.

Each plate is perfectly balanced, mixing various textures, offering vegetables - Jerusalem artichokes, salsify - in various forms and cooking methods. The black cod with miso in particular is a masterpiece. Impeccable welcome and service, plus a smile and humor. Finally, the chef, very warm, is not shy of explanations. In short, perfection. THANKS

I spent a very pleasant evening in this restaurant yesterday. We had the 6 course surprise menu and it was excellent. The truffle accents on the dishes give a common thread to the well-constructed menu. Note their collection of Chartreuses which delighted one of the guests who is a specialist on the subject. The decor is simple and elegant and although the restaurant was full, the noise was not bothersome. I will go back there !

Very good dishes (and also the appetizer) and great white wine offered by the glass. Friendly service but the waiting time was really too long for a lunch (more than 1 hour of waiting between ordering and receiving the dishes, without a starter what's more). One of the guests had to devour his meal in 10 minutes and leave in a hurry so as not to miss a meeting at 2 p.m.

Absolutely delicious food full of flavor. Balanced, refined, gourmet dishes. A real pleasure for me who is very demanding. The only downside is the selection of wines by the glass, I expected better for the high standard of the restaurant. But otherwise I will definitely come back to try other dishes.

My recent visit to Café de Banque was an extraordinary culinary experience. The food was simply fantastic, and it was evident that a great deal of attention had been paid to the precise design of each dish. The vivid contrast of colors on every plate enticed me to savor each bite slowly and appreciate the meal, which was truly deserving of attention. Throughout the three courses, the combination of smooth, hard, and intermediate textures showcased the chef's expertise. The complimentary truffle aperitif was a delightful start, and the 'amusée des bouch' with its strong pistachio aroma and taste was intriguing. I found the pickled beet roots in the "entrée" particularly interesting, as they paired exquisitely with the cold potato and warm pieces of veal. The main course, featuring fish served with black rice, stood out for its remarkable texture—the rice was perfectly cooked, striking a balance between firmness and softness, complementing the creamy buttery notes flawlessly. Each dish seemed to tell a story, a testament to the chef's artistry and attention to detail. The dessert, consisting of yogurt ice cream and apple, offered a harmonious blend of flavors without being overly sweet. The wine selection, especially the Chasselas and Côtes du Rhône, paired excellently with the meal and were reasonably priced. The service was exemplary, fulfilling every need with grace. I deeply appreciated the young chef's dedication not only to culinary excellence but also to the art of presenting each dish as a story waiting to be discovered. After yesterday's experience, Café de Banque has secured a spot in my list of go-to places. Whether for a leisurely meal or a business lunch, its combination of exquisite flavors, meticulous design, and top-notch service makes it an outstanding choice in the culinary landscape.

As usual, the menu proposed by Chef Yoann Caloue for Nespresso gourmet week was top notch! The lobster was very delicious: an ideal marriage of tastes, textures and colors. Well done! A few comments: 1. Nespresso was charged separately (contrary to the rules of the game) 2. Lack of flowers or small vegetation on the table. Either way, we will come back: each time it is an unforgettable gastronomic experience!

All was good but you can't operate a restaurant post global warming without aircon

Café des Banques lives up to its reputation of delicately prepared dishes, with flavors in each dish crafted to complement each other to elevate the whole to what one would expect of a fine dinning experience. The staff were attentive and friendly. A fine venue by all accounts if you are in Geneva.

Simply the best restaurant in the city center.

Great Nespresso menu, absolutely delicious, the coffee touch was subtle but enriched the plates. Really well thought menu which we highly enjoyed.

We ate the three-course lunch menu, starting with a kir as an aperitif, accompanied by an amuse-bouche, a wonderful tomato salsa with burrata. The menu was perfect: sea bream carpaccio with raspberries as a starter, perfectly cooked lamb fillet and braised lamb shoulder with exceptional carrots and eggplant puree as the main course, pear with yoghurt ice cream as dessert. The wines served by the glass went well. It was a meal of a very high standard, at a fair price, in a nice atmosphere, prepared in an open kitchen and served by very friendly staff. I recently discovered Café des Banques, run by the talented Michelin-starred chef Yoann Caloué, and it was a culinary revelation! Located in the heart of the banking district, this chic and contemporary bistro offers modern, inventive and absolutely delicious cuisine. The porcini gyozas in yellow wine and the black cod are just a few examples of the wonders you can taste there. The business lunch menu is also an ideal option for a quick but tasty lunch. The interior design, sleek and modern, adds to the experience. If you are in Geneva and looking for refined cuisine in a sophisticated setting, don't miss this address!

We came here based on a local friend’s recommendation… he had mentioned that this restaurant was one of his new favorites and that the Chef had trained at Cirrus in Healdsburg, so we had to give it a try! We were seated at the Chef’s table which was fantastic… to watch the cooks in action and see them meticulously put every dish together was entertaining. The amazing feat here is how quiet the kitchen operates; the staff work with such effortless pace and know what their assignments are that there’s just not a lot of noise being generated from the kitchen. I can’t remember every dish that was served, but I can remember every flavor offered! We ordered the 4-course Discovery Tasting experience and every dish served was out of this world! Service was next level here as well! Although this is high end dining there was nothing pretentious or stuffy about this place. It felt casual, but special…

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of Café des Banques. Only went for a quick business lunch and had delicious fish. The amuse-bouches offered were really good and one of them was actually almost the size of a half appetizer. Service is great. They have a nice front porch terrace. Inside they also have a kitchen table with high bar chairs (tip for my foodie crowd out here).

Delicious evening meal, taken on the terrace on a summer evening. The sweetbreads, recommended by the waitress, were indeed exceptional.

We held a drinks and dinner event at Cafe des Banques for 20 people in a private area on the first floor of the restaurant. Thanks to the Cafe des Banques team, the event was truly excellent. The food, service, and venue were absolutely fantastic - high quality food and wine with a lot of attention to detail on presentation and ingredients, attentive and friendly service, and a lovely ambiance. The team was also a pleasure to deal with when organising the event. I highly recommend paying a visit to Cafe des Banques, whether for a corporate event or for a nice dinner out for two or with friends!

Excellent service, warm ambiance. Excellent food, we tried the tasting menu and it just kept getting better as the meal progressed. My favorites were the miso black cod and the cèpes ravioli. I highly recommend the tasting menu.

Great welcome Émilie and Guillaume are great hosts full of little touches and always a pleasant smile what professionalism when it comes to the cuisine of the chef and his brigade it deserves a 19/20 I love it I don't put 20 perfection does not exist in short a restaurant in Geneva to recommend the Café des Banques and my other restaurant the Beau Rivage in a completely different epicurean style, be careful, the Café des Banques is the ideal place for your taste buds and your eyes, thank you to the whole team, a treat every time

Lunch on the daily menu: very high level! A cuisine above the rest (a wonderful risotto with squid ink). Impeccable service. It’s true that it’s a price, especially if you’re not there in “corporate/expense report” mode. But, if you want an exceptional dinner, the quality of the dishes served will help you pass the bill because at this level, for the region, it is very competitive. Plus the setting is nice and the service is top notch.
