Nice cafe, food rather average. Friendly service

Food is okay, but service is very bad and the coffee doesn't taste particularly good either

It's a dream to sit outside in good weather. Service is good and fast. The food was very tasty, I can only recommend it.

They call it seasonal salad but it’s a few lettuce leaves easily taken from a Migros aktion package. And they charged us twice for some of the drinks we had already paid for. Sorry, huge disappointment

Really nice cafe with a terrace outside. In the evening they even lighted a camp fire for us to keep warm.

Cakes and warm dishes (I had the spaetzle pan) are A1, I can't recommend the chai latte, but it was ok. The music, interior design and offerings are great, but the staff is not very attentive. But it didn't bother me too much and I'd be happy to come back.

Staff is ultra kind & attentive, coffee is delish, and vibes are unbeatable when the sun is out and everyone sits outside chilling around the fountain.

The food tastes excellent and the drinks are great, and the staff are very friendly and professional. Everything looks very clean and it is very lovingly furnished.

Lovely spot for an afternoon coffee. They also serve lunch meals, but I didn’t try it. The croissant was great, so was the coffee. Service was fast. If you want to come for a meal around lunchtime, I recommend reserving a table since the cafe got pretty busy. The only negative was the staff being slightly preoccupied during busy lunchtime and therefore not being the most pleasant to talk to, they seemed stressed.

Trendy products in the same environment. If you like watching millennials studying in their natural habitat or are one yourself, this is the right place for you.

The food was delicious. This week was Persian Nights and there was really delicious Persian food. Unfortunately we didn't take any photos. From the starter to the dessert and chai, it was simply delicious. The service was quick and very friendly. We felt very comfortable and filled our bellies with goodies. We'd love to come back.

Very cozy and great atmosphere. The Menu is fine but honestly, the staff could be more friendly. They are quite condescending at times. But would still go again.

Typical for Zurich; not enough resources to serve everyone. Queued for like 20/25 minutes to find a very slow waitress. Once you order you have to wait another 10/15 if not for the drinks to come. The main thing is to sell. Customer satisfaction is not relevant.

The Café du Bonheur (and therefore a visit) benefits from its great location on Bullingerplatz: Hardly any traffic, a beautiful fountain right in front, trees and plant boxes (I rate a visit with outdoor seating with "coffee and cake") Food: Very fine cheesecake and plum crumble cake. The selection of other desserts was large Service: Friendly and patient, only the waiting time for ordering and paying was a little longer Ambiance: The environment is very cozy, the furnishings (outdoor area) consist of standard garden chairs and tables

The location is great and they have a lot of outdoor seating, so definitely ideal for sunny days! It’s a very lively and hip place. I really like the variety of the cakes that they have. The service is really friendly and nice, but a bit all over the place. If there are a lot of people (which is often), you might have to wait for your order or to get attention of the team to place an order. Not a deal breaker at all, but could use some work.

Staff unfriendly, inattentive and not service-oriented.

Service staff is simply unfriendly and not competent. Had to wait over 20 minutes. Hands held up several times - were skillfully ignored. Then we queued and got a coffee 15' later. Suddenly rine from the staff stood in front of our table and said angrily that we weren't allowed to order inside and we had to wait. Didn't acknowledge us with a glance before. We ignored it so we could have a nice day. Coffee & town is great. It's a shame that people take advantage of it like that. Another time I ordered a vegetarian burger. The burger was exciting but the mushroom was very gooey. I wouldn't eat there anymore.

We were here on Sunday to have brunch and it was filled with locals so you already know it’s good. We had the petit dejeuner set and eggs benedicts. Also some nice ice coffee. The scrambled eggs were well seasoned and goes great with the bread. However, the eggs benedict were a undercooked and the spinach made the food too bland and watery. I would def recommend the breakfast set :)

The coffee is burned; when you order black tea, you get earl grey; the service is unfriendly and the business is going well anyways given the nice location that they don’t seem to care about any improvements

Wonderful location, friendly staff, nice ambience. Unfortunately, eating is not a joy. We had the chnobli bread, the salad of the day, a tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad and tarte flambée. The chnobli bread is simply not chnobli bread and tastes like meat. The buffalo mozzarella was rock hard and tasteless. The daily salt for a proud 14.- was a light cut salad (!) with a few cucumbers and cherry tomatoes in a mayonnaise-like, thick sauce. The tarte flambée with chevre, pears and honey was good. The wasp infestation doesn't really make your stay any more enjoyable, but the cafe doesn't do much for it (although you could use simple tricks).

Today I drank a latte and ate a croissant - it cost a whopping 9Fr! But sitting outside is very nice!

It's a shame, the restaurant has so much potential that unfortunately isn't fully utilized. You literally have to ask the waitress for 'service'. The fulfilling feeling of a great gastronomic experience is completely missing.

We were first ignored for 20 minutes, then the wrong drink came four times (!) and in the end we had to ask for the bill three times. No apology or anything from the staff for the chaos. Leaves you a bit speechless and is a shame for what is actually a nice café in a great location.

The beautiful location right on Bullingerplatz invites you to visit - especially because there are many places outside under parasols, trees and next to flowers. It's too loud inside for my taste because sound-absorbing materials are simply rare. We waited around 15 minutes before we could order on Sunday afternoon. We ordered the coffee with oat milk (at no extra charge) and for the price of CHF 5.50 we would have actually expected a slightly larger cup (cappuccino size). The cake (nuts and seeds, vegan) was tasty, but not something we would necessarily order again.

Cute brunch place, both if you're sitting inside or outside. My eggs benedict with ham weren't too great, so I'll stick with the pancakes next time.

Really nice place to go for brunch. It gets really popular so booking is a must. Nice coffee and vegan options. Also fresh juices and homemade lemonade.

Decent food. Maybe a bit on the expensive side. The service is pretty bad though. Slow, very difficult to get attention of the staff. Takes a long time to get the menu, make an order, receive the said order. Have to check in on whether it's still coming, etc. Not a great experience :(

I went to wait my friend before the dinner. We took some drinks and they were good. Aperol Spritz and Hugo well made. I loved to see the people and kids make the bath in the fountain in front of our table. It was full of beautiful people and the service was good as the people that works are nice but a bit slow in giving us a beer or a drink. I would love to go back I did not try the food

The location of the coffee in summer is just great. However, points are deducted for the endless waiting times until you are served and then again the longer waiting time until you get what you ordered. The staff is untrained and not attentive. The service staff always make it seem like it's their first day there. Waited 10 minutes to be served, ordered a simple martini and a bottled drink, and after 15 minutes with very few guests still didn't get it. When I asked, the drinks arrived 10 minutes later and the wrong ones too. Investing in more motivated service staff and a somewhat prompt bartender would probably bring this coffee a lot more customers and better reviews. Although this recession describes a single event, the points rating refers to all previous experiences in this coffee. They were all about the same.

Did they choose a French name to explain the unfriendly attitude? You would think you're in Zurich around 2005 - nobody even slightly smiling or trying to be nice! I don't usually complain about this, but it really stood out to me in comparison to a lot of other good cafes that we fortunately have. Food was ok, coffee also decent.

Authentic Swiss cuisine like Zurich-style minced meat... home-cooked and fresh cuisine... a hipster and trendy star-up atmosphere.

Very cool atmosphere, especially on sunny days. The staff is very friendly. The customers are from the left, alternative students, hipsters with their own start-ups. When the weather is nice, there are also some families on site. The coffee is first class

The location directly on Bullingerplatz, which in recent years has developed from Zurich's main traffic artery into a quiet meeting place for everyone in the area, is ideal and is an important place that has contributed to positive change in the area.

Waiting times are far too long, staff untrained and inattentive. Waited 20 minutes for a cake then asked again and ordered something else, asked again 20 minutes later and then they said unfortunately it wasn't available anymore. The space is nice but I would recommend getting something from the coop and sitting by the fountain.

Extremely nice and courteous cook. Served up whatever the supplies would allow, even if the menu was half sold out by nine on a Saturday evening. The only catch was that the barman had already taken the coffee machine out of use at this time and so there was no coffee after the delicious meal. A pity.

The location is great and there is always something to see, especially in summer when there are a lot of people sitting by the fountain. Hipster place! 😉 They make good cappuccinos and the croissants are delicious too. Staff is always nice! I always enjoy going to Cafe du Bonheur.

Great location, excellent food and very friendly service. A pleasure especially in summer, as Bullingerplatz attracts a lot of people and there is always a good atmosphere. The brunch is particularly highly recommended. In addition, there are always new guest chefs, so it never gets boring. Always my pleasure.

Located in the middle of this cozy square, this cafe is a favorite for many reasons. It has managed to attract its customer base with both the flavor of its coffee and the variety of its menus. Also, the outdoor seating areas make for incredibly pleasant moments, especially on a nice sunny day.

A visit here is always worth it. I like to come here in the evening for a drink. I also like the (perhaps slightly hipster) atmosphere that Bullingerplatz exudes. I like to try the drinks here, which have never disappointed me. Quite expensive, but where in Zurich isn't that the case?

They're a little bit picky about where you sit even though the place was not very busy. Then they had no egg dishes, even though the menu said they do. I was informed that's only on the weekends for brunch. Lacks any warmth. The employees were friendly. glad I just had coffee as I found a better choice not far away with full breakfast. This cafe OK but I've experienced better in Zurich.

Nice place, unfortunately the service is inadequate. 20 minutes for an iced tea and when I asked for something to eat the answer was that the kitchen was closed. But later I saw cakes and other things inside. A PITY.

We have been going there for lunch with all of our business contacts for about 9 months. Everyone is completely fascinated by the tasteful creations of this store. You can't tell by looking at it, but there's magic in it (not Maggi).

1 mini glass of orange juice (supposedly freshly squeezed) for 5 francs is amazing. Typical Zurich café. I think it's totally overpriced and not particularly comfortable. Staff was friendly.

Great location, with the fountain in front, car traffic is limited. I had a house tea and my husband a cappuccino. I can't complain about the house tea, but the cappuccino was more than manageable. We have never been served such a small cappuccino. He could have come from a dollhouse. Really brave for over 12 chf. We definitely won't be coming back. Oh yes, you have to be patient when ordering and delivering, if you like it, please

You need time, a lot of time. The staff is inattentive and slow. It may well be that you wait over 15 minutes until you can place your order and then again, if not longer, until you receive your drink. It's a shame, the place and the cafe would be cozy.

Actually, Café du Bonheur would be a nice place. Unfortunately the service is extremely bad. I've been here several times and you regularly wait a long time for your order, regardless of how many guests there are. The service often seems demotivated and overwhelmed. A pity.

I've been there several times for lunch, a coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening and I find the staff to be unfriendly to OK, the food was disappointing and absolutely not filling for the price and the service didn't really make you feel welcome either. The location and the atmosphere are otherwise quite comfortable, but not because of the staff.

Since there is no menu online, I called to ask a question about brunch. However, the gentleman didn't have time to answer my question because he was at work, said goodbye and hung up. Thank you very much!

Small Zurich café in an incredibly beautiful location. Especially in summer you can sit by the fountain and listen to the street musicians.
