Positano in Zürich

I ate divinely well, the owner was excellent, young but with a great desire for innovation!!! I highly recommend it to anyone who happens to be in Zurich!!!!

Best pizza of Zurich and they have gluten free option. Such a nice atmosphere and Raffaelle is so friendly!

Paper covers on the tables and a wine list with little selection and pictures confirmed what followed, Pulpo probably frozen, bruschetta with large pieces of tomato, 6 ravioli - yes it's a primi piatti but maybe inform the guest if it is ordered as a main course - pizzas were like one Rubber eagle, risotto side dish was bad and a long wait to eat. The service was friendly and accommodating with grappa, but that doesn't save the food either. Unfortunately for me it was a disaster with very simple dishes.

Excellent Neapolitan style pizza. The texture of the crust was perfect. The meats and cheeses were high quality. We particularly liked the carbonara pizza with the wonderfully crisp guanciale. Service was also excellent.

It was the best octopus dish I've ever had. The potatoes that came with it were delicious and the pizza was good too.

Ate here once. GF pasta was ok. Returned for a second meal, service was non existent. 20 min to get a menu and then nothing. Got up and left.

A Quattro Stagioni without pepperoni, just the way it should be! Fabulous pizza and pasta. The service is very personal, courteous and endearing. As if you were at home :) Grazie Raffi and all prossima!

This actually has one of the best pizzas I've ever had. A fluffy and tasty dough, topped with the best ingredients for the topping. The homemade pasta was also excellent. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the service is super friendly, humorous and attentive.

Very welcoming restaurant… There were 4 of us who ate and each one had something different, all very good...congratulations!! We will definitely come again!!

The pizzas tasted very good, the prices in the restaurant are very high, even for Zurich in our opinion. We're deducting one star because the staff doesn't understand German, except for the one waiter. We also had to pay dearly for tap water, even though we drank a bottle of wine. We don't choose this restaurant anymore. Everything is really too expensive. For example, a lasagna costs Fr. 36.--, unbelievable, I can get it in another very fine Italian restaurant in the city for Fr. 25.--.

The shop is wonderful with perfect decoration and very good service. Flavors and a wide variety of wines. Definitely go eat if you're in the area.

Compliments! We were received in a very polite and professional way. After seating us at the table, the waitresses were very kind and quick to take our orders. The pizzas are delicious! We asked for small changes which were made without any ifs or buts. The homemade tiramisu was also very good. After dinner the waiter offered us a digestive several times and spoke to us in a very friendly manner. All this surrounded by a very welcoming environment. I highly recommend this restaurant! We will definitely be back.

As an Italian gourmet made in Sicily this restaurant doesn't make me regret my favorite food.... the service is also impeccable!!! The owner is a wonderful person!!!

You deserve "at least" 5 stars, this is what we told Raffaele, the very nice owner of this pizzeria. We spent a pleasant evening in this pizzeria, eating a delicious pizza to say the least (even the gluten-free version). Highly recommended!!!

Do yourself a favor, do not go there. Food was not nice and the quality wasn't adequate to the price at all. Not talking about the quantity for the price we paid... They also took 45min to serve plain pasta dish (we did not ask for it to be plain, it's a shame for an italian restaurant to serve pasta like that), and a dish of 3 raviolis. The price isn't justified for both quality and quantity (~120€, just 2 plates). Also, staff was not synchronized at all, both servers came asking for our order with a 30sec interval for example, this happened 2 or 3 times. As for the one I did my feedback to, she seemed aware of it saying a plain "we understand sir", not interested to know more, no apologies, nothing. And finally, the floor was wet, my wife fell because of that, and no one cared after the incident to mop it. Again, just don't go there, you'll regret it !!!

We ordered beef fillet four times on New Year's Eve with mashed potatoes for an incredible 78 Swiss francs. I couldn't find the puree on all 4 plates and our fillets were ordered medium but they were all rare!!! I find the staff too pushy and the waitresses don't speak German. The manager looked arrogant when we wanted to go in and said we had a reservation. So in my opinion, based on my own experiences, I don't recommend this restaurant!!

A very pleasant pizzeria, both the treatment of the staff and the beauty of the premises. They also have gluten-free pizzas, by January 2024 they may also have gluten-free Lasagna. To repeat 👍

Food and service was amazing here! I figured in Europe calories are 1/4 of what they are in the US because the ingredients are cleaner .. so I’m going with that. Excellent service too!

The food easily deserves five stars - excellent Neapolitan pizza! Unfortunately, the service staff seems a bit overwhelmed and uncoordinated, but the kitchen makes up for it.

Distinctive Italian restaurant This is one of the best Italian restaurants, don’t miss it

This evening I ordered the Ravioli Carbonara at Ristorante Positano. The quality of the food was good, but the size of the portion - mamma mia. Six ravioli of not particularly large size = 38 francs. A disgrace even by Zurich standards.

I chose the pizza lunch menu. The pizza was well topped, the taste was balanced, unfortunately it wasn't crispy at all and the mozzarella topping was tough in places. The menu salad was above average. Overall disappointing for the price.

My wife chose this restaurant based upon its gluten-free choices. They did not disappoint. Unlike gluten-free restaurants in the US, which will only provide gluten-free penne pasta, whatever pasta you wanted was available in a gluten-free option. She decided on a pizza. The crust was the best gluten-free I have ever tasted. Service was impeccable.

DO NOT GO THERE Attention Americans, biggest tourist trap, worst food, everything has a bland taste, highly overprized, only lives on the reputation of the past.

Great pizza, nice atmosphere. They also make the best gluten free pizza I could find in Zurich so far, so I come here often.

We went to Positano Restaurant with our family last night and had a wonderful time! The food was excellent - each meal was a culinary experience in itself. The flavors were delicious and the presentation of the dishes was very appealing. The service was first class. The staff was friendly, attentive and very professional. They made our evening run smoothly and made us feel like VIP guests. The ambience in the restaurant is simply excellent. The warm lighting, cozy seating and Mediterranean atmosphere created a really pleasant environment for our dinner. We enjoyed every moment. We will definitely come back.

A nice medium-sized restaurant with upscale Italian. Ambience directly at Central. It is also suitable for business meetings.

It looked like everyone was fully booked, but they created a table for us and the staff were all friendly. There was confusion when ordering and I ordered the wrong one, but I was thankful that they explained it well even though it was my mistake and kept checking to see if the food was okay and fit my taste buds! I ordered vongole pasta and Positano pizza. It was the last day of our vacation, and my group said that Positano pizza was the best food they had ever tasted in Switzerland. I accidentally ordered Vongole pasta because I misread the menu, but it was a good choice! It tasted very good.

Best authentic napolitan pizza in town!!! Good vine and the best homemade Ravioli!! But the top of the top is the italian-espresso that is often offered because I am a regular customer #nr1

I had the pleasure of visiting Positano Restaurant and was truly enchanted by my experience. The menu at Positano is deliberately kept small, but every dish on it is a true masterpiece. The cuisine places great emphasis on using fresh ingredients, and you can taste that in every bite. I chose a seafood pasta and was impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the perfect preparation. Every taste was harmoniously balanced and the portions were generous. What really sets Restaurant Positano apart from other establishments is the passion and dedication with which it is run. The team obviously takes pride in what they do and it shows in every detail. From the friendly and attentive service to the careful presentation of the dishes - nothing is left to chance here. All in all, I can only warmly recommend Restaurant Positano.

Recently in Zurich for work, walking around the Central area I stop at the first Italian restaurant I find, entering Positano. How did it go? Very good... typical Italian atmosphere, youthful and smiling environment, as a Roman I try the carbonara out of curiosity, nothing to envy of those from Tratevere! Fantastic experience. This restaurant is a magical place. I immediately loved the atmosphere, the quality of the food above expectations, the best Italian cuisine I have ever tried in Zurich, everything was sublime, we also tried the pizza so good that we ordered another one because it was really light, I commend it to everyone. thanks to the super kind owner Raffaele who welcomed us with unique kindness and elegance. Without any shadow of doubt that’s the best italian restaurant I have tried since I moved to Zurich. As coming from Naples I can say that the Pizza there is truly a napolitan Pizza and moreover what it’s worth to highlight for me is the quality of the food for both main and second dishes. the pasta is handmade and the way they serve it it’s someway special. Seafood pasta (casarecce )is my favourite dish and they nailed it. They have also a nice gelateria in the restaurant and the pistachio is amazing

A terrific and stylish Italian restaurant in the old town side of Zurich. Pricey like everything in Zurich (and Switzerland generally) but a great feed. The veal with mushrooms was special.

Visited for dinner with two colleagues from work. I had the vongole pasta and it was delicious. However, the price is about 6,000 yen, which is unimaginable considering the prices in Japan. I think it's normal in Switzerland.

Very nice little Italian restaurant opposite the Central Hotel. The service was very courteous and the food was excellently prepared. The price-performance ratio is very good for downtown Zurich. With a bit of luck there will also be a free parking space on the street in front of the restaurant. Clear recommendation!

It was the first time I was brought a burnt pizza. For the second attempt, a salad with 4 pieces of small shrimp. The price is overpriced and no taste.

Excellent location for pizza and Italian pasta dishes. I can recommend the melon and prosciutto with buffalo mozz appetizer as well as the mussels. The seafood and the meatball/eggplant pizzas are fantastic. The pizza crust is aged and has a delightful flavor. The cacio e pepe ravioli is wonderful and I highly encourage you to order this. We will return to this location again. Try it, you won't regret it.

4 out 5 of my party thought it was amazing. It is not the pizza you may be used to in the US. The food is flavorful, the atmosphere is nice. The servers are all well educated, friendly, and apparently polyglot. One member had wine, and it was delightful. There are gluten-free options and something for just about everyone. They also have Gelato.

Not only was my server Alasandro, was on top of it, the pizza was amazing! You must get the Pelpittana... ( spelling?) Kudos to the chef! Stuffed lemon/lime desert was great! Look at this cappuccino!

Warm atmosphere with dimmed lights and light calm music. An elegant meal experience with delicious Carbonara! We tried an order of the house made bread which is provided with oil & balsamic & seasonings for dipping if you so choose. Topped off the meal with two scoops of gelato for dessert. The server was very kind and professional. Happy we found this restaurant during our visit to Zurich.

The restaurant is small and a bit older. The food, I had spaghetti carbonara, was very tasty and originally prepared. Some had pizza, which looked good too. As usual in Zurich, the price is rather high.

We ordered pizza and Carbonara. Pizza was fine but the Carbonara was very tasteless and bland. It was not busy at all but our waitress didn’t even checkin with us once to see if we need more drinks or anything else which was very odd! A different waitress gave us our bill and she was very sweet.

The caprese, the ravioli, the wine…everything perfect and tastes like Italy (I’ve been to Italy more than 10x).
